The inside of the establishment is nice- mixes brick with cliche New York vibe(subway style lettering, lights,etc)The tables are very close together.The sandwich itself is pretty good- no greasy meat like many other spots around town. The bread is toasted nicely and provides a great flavor to the sandwich.Wish it came with a side to make up for the price but I guess New York process add to the authentic vibe.

Came here for a late night dinner. It was absolutely packed, but the wait time wasn't as long as I'd thought it would be. The place has two levels, we sat upstairs. The menu is vast. There's literally something for everyone and even breakfast, lunch, and dinner options so you can stop in any time of day for a good meal. There were four of us in our group and everyone ordered something different, mainly off the dinner menu. Customer service was good and quick. We were in and out in no time. Food is pretty good too!

Fantastic service, delicious food, interesting Layout.We stopped in for a Late dinner after a show and we were seated at a high top. Star was our server and she is Exceptional!!!The Onion Rings arrived 4 minutes after we ordered them ( hot and fresh ) and the entrees arrived out 15 minutes later ( fast, fresh, exactly as Ordered ). They have a full bar, coke products ( I had iced Tea ).I was going to order the Cabbage Roll entree ( comes with two huge rolls and side ) before Star and I visited. If I lived in Houston, I would have because it would have been a great lunch later on. The single cabbage roll was Perfect! I ordered the creamed spinach ( it's more cream than spinach, topped with toasted melty cheese ) which was Awesome ( not healthy ).My friend ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich with chips. He said it was spicier than when we were in Nashville and it was fantastic. Star ordered exactly like we wanted, no mayo, add tomatoe and lettuce ( I think it was a slight upcharge, not that we cared ).Desserts aren't house made, but next time we are going to try them in a shake.Restrooms are upstairs and it's a bit of trek to get there from the main dining room.Free parking is across a Very Busy Street without a light, cross with care!

I've seen a thousand local commercials on tv about this place, now I've finally gotten to experience it! Free parking lot is directly across the street from restaurant. It's a bit small so not sure where you park if it's full, perhaps on the street. I was there late night 11:30pm on Sunday night & there was a decent crowd but the food still came out super fast. Our server was knowledgeable & gave suggestions on food items. Food was really tasty. I swear one of the best reuben sandwich's I've ever had. I was worried the pastrami meat might be dry but not at all. The meat was super moist & flavorful. Loaded french fries had a hint of spiciness. Small size was smaller than I expected but was ok since I had other food & there was just 2 of us. Otherwise, I suggest the larger fry order. Loved the pico on the fries. My dining mate had the country fried chicken which she says was delicious and the creamed spinach which she said was seasoned well but was more like a cheese dip than a side of spinach. I will absolutely come back, especially late night since they advertise 24/7 service.

We came to kick off my birthday celebration and it was great! Our waiter Jon was so helpful and accomodating. He was quick and very and attentive. He took our drink order and suggested I started off my birthday right with a flight of margaritas which were fabulous! We then ordered my daughters favorite fried pickles and they were delicious. She and I shared a chicken parmesan plate which was a very large portion, perfect for sharing. And my husband had too much breakfast! LOL He normally can consume 3 scrambled eggs easily, but this time, the eggs won! Everything was delicious and of course the atmosphere is always lively and something to see out of those windows facing Montrose. Love this place!

Me and my friends decided to take a spontaneous late night trip to Katz and I do not regret it!!! It was my first time and I absolutely loved the vibes and the food was AMAZING! Fried pickle spears!!!! My go tooooo and they were so fresh and crunchy 10/10Our server was very nice and accommodating knowing it was my first time and helpful with all of our questions! Will definitely be coming back, go check it out!!

Katz's is my go-to spot for late-night cravings, and it never fails to impress! Despite the passage of time, the timeless decor remains unchanged, adding to its nostalgic charm.Last night, after a delightful date night with my husband, we made a stop at Katz's, and as usual, they delivered beyond expectations. The fried pickle spears are a must-try; they've become our favorite appetizer over the years. This time, I decided to venture into new territory and ordered the blueberry pancakes. I was pleasantly surprised--the blueberries were fresh, and the pancakes were perfectly light and fluffy, which is a huge win for me; I can't stand dense pancakes!We also indulged in the loaded potato crisps, opting for the cheese-only version without bacon and blue cheese crumble. Initially, there was a mix-up with bacon in our order, but the staff quickly replaced it, and they were incredibly courteous throughout the process. This level of service only added to the positive experience at Katz's.

Very exciting to eat here!! There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant and I hear there is another across the street. When you walk in, it's super cute and you are greeted by a case full of dessert and a hostess. The menu has so many choices. I finally went with the French dip (middle size), with chips (I'd skip the chips), the matza ball soup was good but a tad salty, the fried pickle spears were really good. I tried my friend's potato salad and it was soft. We were too full for dessert. The manager did stop by our table to see if we were ok. Go up stairs to use the restroom (it's clean) and see how it's decorated! I would definitely come back.

I come here all the time and have never had a bad experience. This most recent time was earlier in the evening, before the dinner rush. The service was fast and we had no issues. The French onion soup was great! Came out piping hot, and had a nice flavor. The fruit salad was also delicious. All the fruit was very fresh, not mushy at all. And the cream they give you to drizzle on top was so yummy. Can't wait to come back!

The food is not bad, but beware that they charge you to pay for your order. I went into the restaurant to place a to-go order and after adding my own tip, I was surprised to see my receipt also included a 2.85% credit card surcharge and a 5% to-go gratuity. I wish they flagged all of these fees before I paid and added an additional tip.
