It was an incredible deli place with outstanding service provided by incredible and shiny Nellie. Food is really good, we were eating at this place a lot during our stay in Philly. Highly recommending. Great food, great prices, nice place, incredible service.

Horrible, small portions unlike NYC sandwich. It was luke warm cornbeef soda and bread were good. Just being honest.

Katz Deli Kitchen is an iconic spot in the Lower East Side known for its mouthwatering sandwiches and classic Jewish deli fare. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly baked bread and the lively atmosphere of a bustling deli.Their pastrami sandwich is an absolute must-try! The meat is perfectly tender and flavorful, piled high between slices of rye bread. And don't forget to slather on some tangy mustard for that extra kick of flavor. The portions at Katz Deli Kitchen are generous, so make sure to come hungry or share with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall dining experience.Whether you're a local or a visitor, Katz Deli Kitchen is a must-visit destination for authentic deli cuisine in New York City. Enjoy the delicious food and the vibrant atmosphere!

Oh my goodness! How things have changed. No waitress service. Menu cut by 2/3. Stand in line and give your order to someone that had no idea of what I was ordering. Had to point to it. No plates or silver. Styrofoam containers with plastic utensils. Are you friggin' kidding me or what! Garbage can in the middle of the floor. Place was usually packed during lunch hour. Not any more. 18 folks having lunch and that includes me. A

This mom and Pop family owned deli is amazing! Very spacious and clean inside! Food is extremely fresh, well seasoned, and prepared! I got the fish and chips and boy did they hit the spot! Even the fries were crispy! I'll definitely be back!

Katz's Delic Kitchen signage says open at 7am - 4pm Monday - Friday. On Monday after 7am, they were not open and didn't answer their phone. Can't speak to their food since we didn't have a chance to try it.

Katz's has been our go to place for breakfast at least once during each of our many trips to Philadelphia. This was our first trip since the pandemic. I'd read some of the other reviews with negative comments but I thought we could get past having to order at the cash register, We were pleased to see that breakfast with eggs, scrapple, home-fries and toast was still on the menu. We've have had it there many times and always enjoyed it. But, not this time! The home-fries had no seasoning, onions or peppers. It was a big disappointment and I was too tired to send the dish back!!! So, I ate the scrapple, eggs, some of the toast, and a little bit of the potatoes. Then I wrote this restaurant off my list of favorites.

Got there at 2:50 , was told it closes in 40 minutes (3:30)...when the times online and on he door all say that it closes at 4pm..but ok. Asked for coffee and the counter person said the coffee is old and probably not good at this time of day. Did not offer to go above and just make a fresh pot of coffee. Told we could have Dunkin coffee from the fridge. ??Sat down, food came and it was standard breakfast fare, nothing special and it was served with flimsy plastic utensils not even sturdy plastic. The fork literally melted and bent while using it. At 3:25 the bus person came over and took my plate and asked if my guest was finished when she clearly was still eating. Then at 3:30 the hostess came over to remind us that they were closing. Very rude. Would not go back.

Ok, so I want to start by saying that when I first saw the line at the door then the prices... I almost fainted and left.... but as soon as I saw someone walk by with what I believe was the most beautiful pastrami sandwich I'd ever seen... I knew I had to stay. As you enter the door, you are "greeted" by a large man who gives you a ticket and sternly explains that under no circumstances are you to lose said ticket. (I dont know what the penalty would be... but I wasnt taking any chances, so I held onto that ticket with my dear life!)Then you get into one of the many "cutter" lines where you witness the mouth-watering display of a young man cutting your beautiful pastrami right before your eyes. And oh! What a sight to behold! And then!!!! After drooling all the way to the table...and you are finally able to sink your teeth into this work of art.... your tongue does a little dance and you experience multiple orgasms!! I mean... one does not simply EAT this delight.... You make sweet love to it! I'm pretty sure Marvin Gaye wrote songs about this sandwich!!!!And if you really want to feel weak in the knees... add some Cole slaw and fries to your meal!!! I'm telling you... I am putting this on my Christmas list from now on!!! Can I add more stars?!?!

Horrible. Empty tables on a Friday at noon should have been warning enough. Woman at cash register has the personality of a door. Gave me a menu upon entering and told me to sit anywhere. Didn't tell me there was no table service and let me sit at a table for 10 minutes before I waved down the manager who told me I had to order from cashier. When I went up and complained, she did not apologize and told me there were signs explaining there was no service. When I asked where the signs were she pointed to a place where there was no sign, complained that I had an attitude, told manager she couldn't deal with me and then walked away. An omelette and large juice cost $19. Used to be a good place. Not anymore.
