Posting here since they don't have a Galveston yelp page yet. They are INSIDE the convenience store tucked by the counter but boy is this a HIDDEN gem. They just started their location in galvy and The food is GREAT. I got the beef koobideh w rice and eggplant and afghan salad for my sides. They can make it spicy or regular and I got mine spicy. The flavor was onpoint and definitely authentic and you can definitely taste the freshness of their food. Also the owner Ali is super nice! Definitely coming back!

Some regional foods are so good that they transcend the stereotype you hold in your mind. This place has great food. Omar runs the place, and he is friendly and welcoming. When you first step in the delicious smells greet you. The small restaurant is sparkling clean. The lamb kababs were superb, but the okra side was the best okra I've ever tasted. The prices are reasonable. Just go.

We visited kabob shack recently and had an amazing experience. The owner and his son were extremely friendly and were very patient with us during our first visit. We ordered the beef and chicken koobideh plate, it was very good! Extremely tender packed with the perfect amount of flavor and spice. We can't wait to go back and visit again!

Holy cow, this place is amazing!!! The food is fresh and delicious, and the owner is hands down one of the best in the business: I was placing a to-go order and mentioned I was starving, while waiting for the order, he brought out a snack to enjoy! He's so thoughtful and kind. Will definitely be back and tell everyone to visit!

This is my go to for chicken koobideh kabobs. I usually get the chicken koobideh plate with brown rice, fries, and eggplant. I also enjoy the chicken kabobs. The sauces are so good! The eggplant is just delish here as well. It is a small shop with good amount of seating, and the staff is always nice. Just keep in mind that it takes some time to cook the kebabs so if there is a lot of people, it can be a long wait.

Hands down best food/hospitality in Sugarland. From the greeting at the door to the check in's from the staff to the authenticity/freshness of the food. There is absolutely nothing to complain about on this one. You have the feel of a hole in the wall restaurant to quality/taste of the food being Michelin rated. I would recommend my particular plate but I don't want to sway you from trying something new that is equally or if not better. I will be coming back frequently along with recommending to anyone and everyone if they are looking for a delicious meal that they will crave for days to come. Omar (owner/cook) it was a pleasure for you to bring your authenticity/heart to the Sugarland food market and I appreciate experiencing your take on Middle Eastern food.

Very friendly place with great smells and well cared for. I was assisted by Kamran who quickly determined it was my first visit. Kamran gave me the tour of the menu and ordering process, kept up with me on my several order changes, asked a few questions, and then with the help of the crew had me out the door in a few minutes with my lamb, Afghan Salad and of course baklava. The food was well prepared and tasted wonderful. Next visit to Sugar Land I'll be back!

***This is for the Galveston location***We have been wanting to try this new place since I miss all this kind of food from living in Houston and being married to a Lebanese man.We ordered delivery from their Facebook to Website system. It was easy and kept us informed the whole way with texts and you can track the delivery driver through part of Door Dash.The food came hot and smelled amazing!Looked amazing too - see photos!Everything was so delicious and we were super pleased with all the sauces and choices.We will be ordering again!They are inside a gas station on 19th Street so give them a try in person or order delivery!!!

The food taste phenomenal for the price, I can't complain. The service is where this place shines, because the owner of the restaurant, Omar, is very kind and hospitable. I was not expecting to get a full dine service, but received it out of courtesy, and this is very rare to see nowadays. The restaurant is very clean, quiet, and welcoming. You have to eat here in-person to really get the best experience.

Their food tastes good, the quality is definitely there but its too expensive.They charge about $17 for a plate with two sides and ONLY one skewer of meat. Whereas most other Afghan restaurants charge about the same but you get two skewers of meat. Each extra skewers being about $7 - $9 depending on whether it's chicken, beef, lamb, ribeye, etc. The tables were was also a bit dirty and the seats as well even though the restaurant was empty...For the price and quality Houston has better Afghan food.
