Junebug is the most adorable restaurant in Massachusetts. It's perfect for a casual girls night out. The staff is very friendly (and very trendy and well dressed). If you make a reservation beforehand, and include any allergy accommodations that need to be made, they will have a menu prepped for you with everything you can't eat already crossed out. They're able to make all pizza's dairy free (all their pizzas come with cheese, I'm just dairy free) or you can request a vegan pizza with vegan cashew cheese. The crust is so fluffy and doughy. It does not pass the Dave Portnoy flop test, but for me I prefer a floppy pizza so that worked out well. They also have a massive wine list to choose from. It's very hard to score a reservation here, but well worth the effort.

This place is the total package - great drinks, great food and great service. Really nice surprise - and great new addition to Union Square. They've made great use of the wood fired pizza oven from the prior space and added an excellent menu.Highly recommend - best suited for couples or small groups though - it's a tight space overall. Can't wait to come back and try other things.

Friday DinnerLoved this place. The pizzas were great (I've been on a streak of disappointing restaurant pizza so I'm glad to break it!). Salads were a nice balance to the pizzas. Cocktails were fun and tasty. Our waitress was super helpful in helping us decide what to get. Note: bill automatically adds 20% tip. - Roasted asparagus: 5/5 - I'm not usually excited by asparagus but the smoked aioli was great- Kitchen sink salad: 5/5 - lovely tasty salad- Citrus salad: 5/5 - light on the citrus element which I appreciated so you could appreciate the other components- Dylan's garlic one pizza: 5/5 - SOOOO GOOD. Dough and everything. - Shuggie's pizza: 5/5: more of a classic pizza. Garlic one was my favorite but this one was delicious as well.- Maria's Flan: 4/5 - tasted more like a panna cotta than flan, but it was good.

Incredible pizza! Seriously my ideal thin crust middle, flavorful toppings, and big fluffy chewy outer crust). My husband enjoyed the Sargent Peppers and we had a great salad with dates and olives. I think we got the best seat in the house too (in the back corner). The staff even marked up a menu for me to accommodate my allergies. I brought home leftovers and was surprised by how well they reheated...Can't wait to go back!

Wow this is such a cute and artistic place with brick walls and colorful art on the walls! We tried the pizzas: the chimney sweep and Dylan's garlic one - we loved both of them! Wood fired but the crust was so soft! For the chimney sweep, you really need to love bleu cheese or you shouldn't get it! We also tried their charred orange lemonade which was quite on the sweet side but was refreshing!

TLDR: A reservation is suggested for this trendy new pizza spot. The decor is 70's mid-century modern. June Bug is the sister restaurant to Field and Vine next door, so if you like it F&V, you'll like June Bug. The pizzas are personal sized so ordering one pizza per person and one app to share should fill you up. What we drank:- Near Miss- Snack Break MartiniWhat we ate:- Roasted Cabbage: Really interesting combination of flavors with the labneh and gochujang, not our favorite but interesting!- Shrimp Toast: This was really good! The focaccia was perfectly fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The basil aioli was whipped and was a great addition to the dish. - Like a Pepperoni Pizza: Just know this pizza has no cheese. The 'nduja is similar to chorizo, so it was a little spicy, covered in delicious onions and grilled to perfection- Chimney Sweep Pizza: creamy and nutty, would get again!

We checked out June Bug a few weeks ago. A truly nice addition to Union Square. Ambiance is intimate/modern pizzeria vibes. My husband and I shared the kitchen sink salad, tuna crudo, and shuggies pie. What we had and the service was spot on. The habanero relish on the crudo was so awesome, I wish it was a side we could order for the pizza. The salad was enough to share as was the pizza with the apps. Crispness level was spot on. There were two side sauces that we ordered with the pizza, a chili oil and a ranch that was a little too Dill flavored for us, but otherwise great experience. Menu was limited but looking forward to a more expansive menu in the future !

Came here with reservations on a Tuesday night. It was about half full when we arrived but by the time we left, every seat was taken. For appetizers we shared Blue fin tuna crudo and Fluke & bay scallop tartar. Both were incredibly fresh and hit every taste bud possible. The habanero really came through every so slightly in between each bite of tuna. Sun choke chips were delicately thin and salty but perfect for the scallops. Unsure of the portions, we ordered two pizzas between the two of us. I found both the Dylan's special pie and the shuggie's pizza to be individually unique. As a huge fan of pesto, it was like eating a deconstructed form on a pizza. Paper thin sliced cabbage as a topping was also a first for me but with the chewy thin crust and fresh squeeze of lemon juice, it was a perfect match. To finish off our meal, we shared the Apple crisp with ginger ice cream. Can never go wrong with a warm dessert topping with a cold scoop of cream. Being not a big fan of cooked fruit, it still kept my interest. But I was certainly more of a fan of the ginger ice cream.Overall, I had a perfect experience. Our waitress was attentive, professional, and timely. Establish is eclectic all the way from their decor to their dishes and cutlery. Looking forward to coming again and highly recommend others to check them out!

wont lie im not the biggest pizza person but i really enjoyed my meal here! the toppings r all pretty creative, but i especially liked the smoky nduja and onions on the 'like a pepperoni.' the crust was so soft but at the same time not too thick, coming from someone who is usually a crust hater. there r also small shared plates on the menu; we got the cucumber salad but the pizza was definitely the standout of the night. the ambience is very playful and cozy, with an impressive wood fired pizza oven being the first thing u see walking in

My husband and I were happy to come here with our baby (8 mo.) and another couple. We got a 5pm reservation and they were able to give us a really accommodating table that allowed for the stroller. Out the gate - standard things about this place stood out: prices are insane. Drinks are all over $10 (unlike the new Rosebud in Somerville which is doing 10 dollar cocktails, like those amazing pre pandemic days when drinks out did not cost you $100 minimum). The pizzas were pretty good but nothing special - I have enjoyed GuFo or Source in Cambridge a lot more or even Pinnochio's in Harvard Square. It was pretty doughy and bread heavy...not that big. We had to order 4 of them for our table of just 4 adults. Also, NO BABY CHANGING TABLE in the bathroom which really sucks. My husband did the ground changing situation with the chux which is really shitty... hurts your back, dirty, and at this pt. I would assume bathrooms have a changing table in Cambridge / Somerville always for the parents. And finally when the bill came we paid without looking closely. Upon going home we realized there is a 20 PERCENT TIP included for ALL TABLES and a 4 percent tipping kitchen fee too. This is mentioned in fine print on the menu but not when the bill is delivered to you so we ended up tipping off the bill. In any event.. we did call back and asked them to clear the additional tip and they did it thankfully and didn't give us a hard time but the lack of transparency was pretty ridiculous. Also, PAY YOUR STAFF don't just make your customers pay all this kitchen appreciation staff.Long story short- nice addition to the neighborhood but we def not be back. It was $170 basically for 2 people to eat at this place which is insane for pizza and a few drinks.People in this area make a lot of $ so don't rip us off and think it's reasonable to write small print on menus and then hope people don't notice that they over paid.
