This family-owned and authentic Mexican restaurant is a definite favorite for our staff here at the Giving Tree. The food is hot, fresh and delicious--and a great value! The service is impeccable, and we're always greeted with a smile and kind words. We love coming here for our lunch breaks--especially for the awesome quesadillas (which have POTATOES in them!!). Shout out to Betz and his family--we're proud to have him on staff here and glad to support his family's business.Peace and Love,The Giving Tree of Denver

They're on open few days out of the week, when they are open the food is not fresh, from my experience, the food tasted old and stale, I was very disappointed

Second time here was a charm!Got me a delicious regular super Buche burrito. Comes with cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and your choice of meat. My wife order a Buche taco and desebrada tostada. She enjoyed her lunch as well as I did.The complimentary red salsa that comes with chips is spicy and delicious. Save some for your entree... mmmm

We had dinner here and it was quite the treat. We ordered tacos and posole. They serve complimentery fresh chips and salsas, yes 3 different kinds! The tacos were okay, we ordered the asada and tripe. The tripe was delicious and the asada could have been better. But the posole was delicious with the side of buttered bread, yum!

I stumbled upon Juarez's while browsing mexican restaurants to have food picked up via grubhub and boy am I glad I chose Jaurez's!! First off, the prices and portions were excellent, can't beat a good deal and huge portions! I ordered the beef fajitas and they were great! They included a green salsa and a cream sauce on the side that was a nice bonus as they were both very good on the fajitas!! I also ordered some chips and red salsa to go. I've lived in Denver almost 4 years and had yet to find salsa at a restaurant I wanted to return for... But I found THE salsa here! It had fresh chunks of onion, tomato and cilantro and the perfect amount of spice! Staff was very friendly and welcoming so kudos to training them right!!All in all, I found my new go-to mexican spot and will be returning very soon!

Ok, I get it...restaurants, more specifically the cuisine they specialize in, are open to each individual's personal taste. What one person likes about, in this case, Mexican cuisine could very well be the opposite of what someone else likes. So, here is the opinion of both me and my wife:This little restaurant took us straight across the border into the heart of Mexico. It's quaint; it's small and it's off of our beaten path. But more importantly, it was surprisingly awesome!! The deep fried tacos were the exception to other Mexican restaurants in the Denver metro area. And don't be shy, ask for the extra spicy salsa! It packs some heat, but it's also addictive. We strongly recommend you give it a try!If you like it, post it!If you don't like it, post it as well with your reasons, but don't be rude. Remember, this is someone's livelihood and most definitely their dream.

This is a good neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Don't be put off by the worn exterior as the food is tasty and the service is pleasant and efficient.I had a Torta (Jamon y Queso) which was very good. Lettuce, tomato, avocado and little to no mayonnaise. A good deal at $4.50. The torta is recommended. Our server was friendly and patient with us newbies as we perused the menu. The atmosphere is a tad too cafeteria-like. Sterile. Certainly won't make you linger.- No Wi-Fi+ Parking lot in the rear. Just go down the alley.+ No hassles with the Yelp coupon.+ The menu is funny. It is loaded with full-page ads including one en Español encouraging you to participate in the 2010 US Census- Website is very weak- No beer (but they do have a Corona bottle piñata)+ Background music was Mexican and easy to listen to

I grew up in Austin, Texas, where tex-mex is king. I have had a LOT of really good tex-mex in my life, so I am not new to this type of cuisine, by any means.Using a yelp $5 deal to get $10, me and my dinner companion ventured to Juarez, which is living in obscurity. We were the only diners this Friday evening (6pm, they close at 7). Service was very friendly and attentive. The menu is reasonably priced. What came next was the real treat. The food is AMAZINGLY good. The salsa is spicy, as I like it. The chips were hot from the fryer. After we finished every scrap of the chips and salsa, the entrees were brought out. The fajitas looked "poster perfect", and apparently tasted just as good! I'm vegetarian, so I opted for the Chili Relleno. The owner/chef confirmed that their beans and rice are both vegetarian, so I was able to enjoy this dish fully with no substitutions or distractions.Asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas, I chose one of each for the variety. I was very pleasantly surprised with the high quality of both.Just about fully stuffed and enjoying every bite, I was sad when the plate was empty. I may have to go back in a day or two just to get another "fix" of this amazing cuisine. I'm not a flan fan, but thought I would give it a try, since they did everything else so well. I'm still not moved by this traditional dessert, but it was definitely better than other flan I have had recently. As we were settling our bill and having a bit of a chat with the owner, we were told that the restaurant has been in operation at this location for 10 years. It's struggling to keep people coming in, as very few people know it's there. It's decor is in need of some TLC, and the hours are short - but i can't blame the owner for feeling down about the situation. I'm motivated to do my part and become a regular. heck, it's only 10 blocks from my house, so I have no excuse not to return.I love supporting local owner restaurants (especially single locations where the owner is on staff), that are not part of a corporate chain. I can completely forgive the (very) modest furnishings and harsh fluorescent lighting when every bite on the plate is this delicious. Now I just have to spread the word a bit with my friends, so we can do our part to keep it going! It would be terrible if this restaurant closed, due to lack of patronage, because I would miss it. I would miss it terribly!Note on parking: There are about 3 or 4 spots in front along 38th street where parking is freely available. If those spots are taken, try around the corner on the grid of streets, and just walk a block or two. I'd not recommend using the O'Reileys auto parts parking lot, even though it is directly across the street.

Amazing. Just amazing. Delicious, huge portions for half the price of what you'd pay elsewhere. Find them near 38th and Federal. I recommend the #38 or #39. These two menu selections come with 5 good sized entree items with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato. The red sauce is delicious. The family who runs the place is very kind and friendly. Good service, good prices, and good food! This is my second review because it's that good. Eating here now and will be back a bunch of times! Also to the person who rated them 3 stars in the review before mine: Your complaint is the appeal of the dining area and the interior and exterior of the building? You came to a small independent Mexican place expecting Atkins diet food? You're kidding right? This is one of the last affordable, genuine family run gems in Denver. Sounds like you're looking for some pretentious place downtown to pay double for the same plate you get here.

Was looking for real Juarez style food and we found it at this little restaurant, the environment is homey and delightful and the food is absolutely delicious, feels like eating over at grandmas house and that is thanks to the pleasant service.
