Juanita's Taqueria

When we're craving some legit, "mom and pop," authentic Mexican food, we think of one place: Juanita's. Hands-down. Every time. It's a 40 minute drive for us, but always well worth it. For starters, the folks here are amazing. We've been blessed to become friends with them over the years, and they're all just great folks -- and it shows in how they conduct business AND in the delicious food they serve. From the owner to the bussers to all the wait staff -- STELLAR. The food? Sweet mama. The food. You get some of the best salsa and chips you will ever eat here. Endless. Bottomless. Delicious. The green sauce has some legit kick, and the red sauce is good enough to drink with a straw. For mains, I have become a creature of habit here: two sausage, egg, and cheese tacos and one birria taco. End of game. But, over the years, we have thoroughly enjoyed their carne guisada, fajitas, their mixed plates, hard and soft tacos, enchiladas, soups, etc. The menu is large and they'll accommodate pretty much anything you ask for -- and all straight authentic and straight legit. They also have a great selection of fresh juices, like mango, hibiscus, lemonade, melon, and more. I really feel like I could go on and on -- but just do yourself the solid and go. They're open from 6am to 3pm every day, and you will NOT be disappointed. Tell them Mr. Maury and Mrs. Erika sent you.

Fast friendly service! I've never gone to Juanita's and been disappointed. The restaurant is a small establishment with limited parking but all the locals no that this is the pace to be! The breakfast and breakfast tacos are superb!

Always great food and great service. The fajita meat is very flavorful and everything we have tried has been good. Love their spicy green sauce. Small family owned restaurant where the waitresses remember you and the owner's daughter is very friendly. This is my dad's favorite place in town.

Great little family restaurant. Chips are crisp and fresh! Salsa is homemade. Enchiladas were stuffed full of beef and delicious. Refried beans were also homemade and delicious. Atmosphere is of a small family/neighborhood restaurant. We seemed to be the only out of towners there. Everyone else was personally known by the staff. Service was quick, food hot, price reasonable, waitstaff was friendly.

This was our first time at Juanita's and we loved it! The food was excellent and service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and came by our table several times to check on us. The best thing is they have carne guisada!!! In gravy like in San Antonio. Most restaurants here have it in broth :( The prices are reasonable. Definitely coming back.

Great Mexican food, my go to for breakfast before work. The breakfast burritos. You can't go wrong with them

BREAKFAST TACO BOMBSHELL!!I was in the area for a job and decided to stop and grab a couple tacos after seeing all the reviews. Man am I glad I did, they are insanely good. The tortillas are absolutely fresh as they aren't even a perfect circle! Both salsa's are amazing, but not hot just a bit of spice. Perfect for breakfast. You won't be upset, everything here is FRESH FRESH FRESH!!! My only complaint is they don't have a location in cypress where I live!!

Best Mexican food in Alvin. Outstanding breakfast tacos, great lunches. My Mexican wife says the refried beans just like Grandma used to make. Authentic stuff. Wish they were open for dinner.

i had gotten the grande burro and the taco was bigger then both of my hands side by side. Which isn't to odd but i was able to eat it for lunch and breakfast. also the people are great, and very nice family friendly setting
