Located on Memorial drive next to the OG Dish Society and not far from the OG Izakaya Wa. It's a nice semi upscale dining space with plenty of self parking in the parking lot in front. We swung by for lunch on a weekday. Their lunch menu had reasonable prices for a steakhouse; we ordered some apps before our mains.Southwest crab cakes -4/5, lots of crab and a nice flavor without being over seasonedSweet chili shrimp- 4/5, sleeper hit, decent flavor and very crispy breadingCaesar salad side- 1/5, this is a pretty lazy version of a Caesar salad for a nicer restaurant. The dressing was closer to a store bought Caesar dressing than a homemade/ made in store version. The cheese on there was also a bit cheap tasting; I prefer the Caesar at a few other steakhouses over this one. The croutons are nice and crispy thoughRibeye 16 oz with brussel sprouts- 3/5, ordered medium rare and got a medium rare, which is great. Would have liked the fat to have rendered out a bit more on my steak. I was not a fan of their seasoning/ rub mix on the steak; salt, pepper, and butter would've been a simpler and tastier version. The brussel sprouts were cooked well but I wasn't a fan of the addition Parmesan cheese on there (it tasted like the same Parmesan that was on the Caesar salad). Overall, it was a solid meal and the restaurant had a decent appetizer menu for a change. I was not a fan of the steak seasoning but it was cooked well at a reasonable price so that's that. Think this is another one where your experience will vary depending on what you order; there may be more hidden gems or pit holes but what we ordered was slightly hit and miss.

Came here with 3 others for dinner. Overall service and food was of good quality. Started with a beer which was nice and cold, and in a frosted glass. Would have liked a more varied IPA selection but that's pretty much true for any place I've visited in Houston, so won't hold it against them. The wine bottle list is extensive but wish they had more options for glasses. Forget which glass of red I got but it was fine. The ceviche and watermelon-feta salad were fresh and tasty. The ceviche could've used a bit more seasoning or 'oomph', though the flavors were fresh and clean. The watermelon feta salad with balsamic vinaigrette was also fresh and tasty, though could've used more feta, or at least bigger pieces - the small crumbles were hard to taste alongside the other flavors. The brussels sprouts with bacon, and blue cheese and mushroom & onion sauces were highlights for me, they were extremely tasty and well seasoned. We devoured both in their entirety! Tried one of my dining companion's mac and cheese, which was ok - a little dry. Ordered the filet medium rare and it came out quite rare, which was ok for us, but not what we ordered. The service was excellent, and prompt.Overall was a solid meal, though would not come back given steak is their speciality and they incorrectly cooked our steak.

The atmosphere in and out is very nice. The service is solid. We dined outside and it was a nice space. We ordered the dumplings fried 5/5, brussel sprouts 5/5, chicken Picatta 4/5. Ordered special red fish pontchartrain 3/5 every thing was good, but the pontchartrain sauce. It was odd. It was like a carrot purée and not great. Ample wine, beer, and cocktail choices.

This is the perfect place to dress up a bit and get treated special. The service is spectacular from the moment you walk in, to the bar, to the table! The ambiance is classy and nice, yet emits a relaxed feeling. I can't say enough about the food, it's so fresh and flavorful. It's truly created for you to experience.

I went to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was my first time visiting. The ambiance is amazing, very cozy and romantic. Btw, it was the weekend before valentines and the decorations were beautiful. However I only had the ceviche , I know everything on the menu is also good. Staff were very friendly.I will come back with my family

Today my friends and I are lunch / brunch at the memorial green location. Every single one of our selections were inedible ! Front the frittata , omelet , salmon Benedict ,"grilled "Chicken on salad to eggs Benedict , all very greasy and cold. We send back several items more than once before we all gave up and left. I will not return even though I've been there half a dozen times. The cook needs to be checked on. Hard to really believe. A shame.

Stopped by on a weekday. The restaurant wasn't busy and we were promptly seated. Our waiter was very kind and made sure you give us some recommendations (and even some jokes). Overall the staff was kind, bathrooms were nice and clean and the food was good. I really liked that they had a mocktail menu. We had a few different items, below are some that stood out.Bruschetta - 4/5 good but wish the bread was crispy. More like cheese bread with tomatoes. Steamed Dumplings - 4/5 Calamari - 3/5 - good but there were only 3 shrimp House salad - 4/5Cesar salad - 4/5 croutons were bigger than I'm used to. they had a unique sweetness to them. Berry mystic mocktail - 5/5 fruity and bright Grapefruit sangria mocktail - 5/5 nice and tart Cosmo naut - 5/5 Garlic mashed potatoes - 3/5 they were just okay Blue cheese sauce - 2/5 I was really excited about this, but it just wasn't what I expected. Too salty, felt like something was missing. Brussel sprouts - 2/5 Scallops - 4/5 tender with lots of fresh veggies Chicken and waffle - 5/5 Mac and cheese - 5/5 very cheesy Steaks - over cooked but had good seasoning

I was greeted warmly by the staff when I entered the restaurant, and brought to my seat promptly. The restaurant is beautiful. I could see the kitchen from my seat, watched the cooks do what they do best. My server was friendly and attentive, always checking in to make sure everything is good. My party had the NY Strip, Broiled Chilean Sea Bass, Roast 1/2 Chicken, and Smoked Bone-in Pork Chop as entrées. We ended our meals with Coconut Cream Pie, Chocolate Blackout Cake, and Carrot Cake for desserts. The entrées were all cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The garlic mash was yummy. I had the sea bass which was moist and flaky. The panko crumbs at the top created the contrast in texture, which I appreciate. The sauce served together with the fish was sweet. It paired well with the sea bass. Scrumptious! Our desserts were delicious too. They were not overly sweet. I prefer the carrot cake because the cream cheese frosting was good. Making a reservation is highly recommended especially for big groups. The restaurant gets crowded fast.

Heard about this great family-owned restaurant from a lot of our friends so when we finally got the chance to visit this Sunday morning, we were thrilled to experience all that is special about this restaurant! The location has plenty of love the moment we walked in from the warm greeting from the hostess, the wonderful decor and the waitress named Rey, who had a lovely personality and was first-class with your service. We started off with drinks and an amazing appetizer (bruschetta caprese) and our two entrees (shrimp & grits / breakfast club) were absolutely delicious. Our meal was concluded with a visit from a manager named Brandon who made us feel that our business was valued and even spent a few extra minutes talking motorbikes with us when he noticed my tee shirt with a Triumph logo on it.Here's another thing we noticed and wanted to share, even their cleaning crew and the staff dressed in black were top notch and showed the respect & kindness (in between cleaning the tables) that was a big deal to my wife & I because it reflects on the way the restaurant family treats their team so they go the extra mile to show the patrons the first-class service that we all should expect and receive. Keep up the great work, Jonathan's The Rub, you have earned two new loyal customers.Check them out and tell 'em David & Amy sent you.
