What a lovely family friendly restaurant, we really appreciate the children's play area outside, it's a great way to keep the children happy while waiting for our table and anytime when the kid gets fussy during the meal. Location is conveniently located right across from Costco, in the heart of Pearland. Parking is easy. The restaurant itself is impressive in every way. It's modern, spacious and elegantly decorated, tables are well spaced out. It feels upscale. They also have an event/private room in the back, it's beautifully designed, could be your next private event space. They also have nice outdoor seatings. Service is attentive and friendly. Food is great, good portion size as well. If you want a healthier choice, I highly recommend the Shrimp Tostada salad, the shrimp is so well seasoned and grilled to perfection, paired well with the candid walnut and strawberries. For a classic Tex Mex meal, Jimmy's Deluxe is your choice, and it comes with two plates, part I and part II, how fun! Before you leave, don't forget about their free soft serve ice cream in the front. It completes this awesome dining experience.

Jimmy Changas16th jan 2024I got excited with the complimentary chips with green salsa and ketchup a little too soon....the very next minute the table jerked and water from two glasses in front of me came flying, but the waiter guy neither batted an eyelid or offer a napkin. He watched while I borrowed an unused cloth napkin and set to dry out the water myself ! What just happened?!My appetite died instantly. But, for the rest in the party - Our order consisted of Gauc and chips- the Guacamole was fresh.Avocado tacos- it was a new vegetarian menu item on board. Crispy avocado tacos which was essentially soft tacos crisy avocado as in deep fried avocadoVirgin pina Colada- sugar burst, cream splash- too sweet and too fatty. Not my sort of drink! Maybe a kid would enjoy it.Pinapple'rita requested with salted rimI took on the rocks, the other option was frozen. Not bad if you do not count how limited salt he had applied on the rim. Their vege options are still very limited but they did have a new entree- Avocado tacos and avocado dippers. Also to be noted is that this comes with a side of cilantro lime rice that is cooked in water( Normally all their rice is cooked in chicken broth)They have TV's at the bar playing differ sports, I think thats a good place to be seated. They have a pretty good play area as well, kids love it. What outlived the entire experience was the sight of ICE. It was one of those rare Texas freeze days and while I did not witness snow anywhere, as soon as we reached the entrance, noticed the beautiful outdoor seating with these huge pots, one side of which was covered in ice, making it such an endearing sight. It was soo good and put me in such a smiley mood that I forgave everything that followed with the water splash. Though didn't have an appetite, I sat through just looking out of the window at those naturally decorated pot fountains eating the free ice cream from the vending machine at the entrance.

Jimmy Changa's was a nice little find for Tex-Mex in the West Pearland area. We were seated quickly on what looked to be a fairly busy Saturday. Every table gets complementary chips and two types of salsa, a red and a green. I preferred the creaminess of the green salsa but thought it could use a little more flavor. We ordered beef enchiladas with rice and refried beans and the ahi tuna tacos with rice and charro beans. Everything was decent, and nothing stood out to me as particularly good or bad. They did have complementary vanilla and chocolate soft serve which was a nice touch. The service was fine. The atmosphere is very casual. The parking lot is big and finding a spot was easy.

THE STAFF TREAT ME AND MY FAMILY VERY BIASED. We are asian family just wanted to eat in Jimmy Changas. I requested a table for family of 8. I asked kindly if we could take that corner booth near the window and the receptionist name GISELLE said that area is closed. I said its fine, even though there is a family eating near that area. I ask again and request, How about those outdoor tables in front of water view. And she said again that area is also closed. I said its OK, thats fine just give me whatever available tables you have in the back. Giselle told me we have to wait 25 MINUTES before we can get a table. I said to her how come there's plenty of tables available we can see and no one else is waiting but US. The attendant standing beside her name JOSIAH told me that they are closing at 9pm. I told both of them if I wait 25min, your restaurant is already closed. I requested a manager. After a minute, a White american couple just walk in and seat in the area where I want to seat that they saying its already closed. I was very upset and disappointed. I was thinking What did I do wrong, All we want is to eat in Jimmy Changas. How the staff treated me and my family like this. Is that because were Asian. This is wrong and biased. I will make necessary complaint against this people and Jimmy Changas until my voice is heard. I will never forget how they treat me and my family like this.

Ambiance is great if you like a loud place. Table or bar area sitting. Service is great! Tips are auto added for big groups so check ur receipt. You can decide on the food. The chips are different than years ago when there were red ones mixed in. Ice cream machine always works. The drinks are a little weak imo.

I sat near the bar and a high top table. The server was pleasant and quick. He checked on me a few times during my meal but not to much since I was dining by myself. I had the marisco bowl as is with no additional protein with their complementary chips and salsa. Everything was fresh and tasty. I find it better to eat at this restaurant rather than pickup due to the order not being as hot onece I get home.

This place has taken a nose dive directly from good to horrible!! We paid $60 for mixed fajitas for 2 thru door dash. Did not get chips or salsa. There was even a note on the receipt that said NEEDS CHIPS. Did not get them. When I called and spoke to the manager he blamed Door Dash and refused to do anything about it. This was not the 1st time we've had issues from this place!! Even when we've ordered pick up we've had issues. I'm DONE with this place. Their "policy" for door dash is blame door dash and do nothing. But they dang sure took the $60 we paid! We have no issues with other places just this one. They have no problem taking your money but the have a serious problem with making sure you get everything you pay for. DO NOT ORDER FROM JIMMY CHANGAS PEARLAND!!!

Food: 5/5Service:5/5Ambiance:5/5As a chain, I was skeptical of this place. But I really enjoyed my lunch and experience here. We were set immediately for a table of two on a Sunday afternoon. Just as we sat down, I accidentally knocked my silverware napkin roll off the table onto the floor and as soon as I picked it up, a waiter already had a new one to switch out for me before I even asked. I thought that was very nice and attentive. The great service continued throughout the afternoon as well. Our waiter was very helpful and recommended choices for us. I chose a special, which is the Grilled shrimp. I do not recall the exact name however I did attach a photo. The appetizer of chips, salsa and green sauce was delicious and we ended up eating a bunch of it and may have had 2nds. :-)The atmosphere is great, typical of a Mexican restaurant. I really liked the decor inside and all of the unique paintings and drawings on the walls. They also have a free self serve ice cream machine, which seems to be a common thing here in Texas inside Mexican restaurants. I highly recommend others to try this place out. It was great and I would definitely go again.
