Not sure why a lot of people think that Jim and Nick is a barometer of "good" bbq. The ribs are full of fat. The flavor is mediocre. The greens were decent. I'll pass on the next invitation to eat here.

This review is for the Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q counter located behind Section 116 inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. I think this is a fine place to grab a snack or meal before or during an Atlanta Falcons or United game, college football game, or other sporting event. We grabbed a couple items from here and they hit the spot. They were served up quick with good, friendly service. Not much more you can ask for.Jim 'N Nick's is a regional barbecue chain from Birmingham, Alabama. There are currently over 30 locations in seven states with eight locations in Georgia. I've been to a few Jim 'N Nick's locations and have found the food to be OK to good; never disappointing. This is the only Atlanta area location, I believe, that is ITP (inside the perimeter).Jim 'N Nick's has one of the larger counters on Concourse 100. There are several registers and they can churn through a high volume of fans quickly. Like most, if not all, vendors at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Jim 'N Nick's only accepts card and mobile payment (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay). If you only have cash, you can convert your cash to card at a Falcons/United team store. During our visit, the restaurant was running a special for 50% off a souvenir cup if you paid with Apple Pay.In line with other vendors at the stadium, the food and drink are reasonably-priced with no single food item and no single drink, including alcoholic beverages, over $9 each. Beers on tap, in 20-ounce pours, included Slap Fight ($9), Coors Light ($7), and Bud Light ($7). Alcohol sales stop at the end of the 3rd quarter during football games, at the 75th minute during soccer games, and at the end of intermission or various other times for other events. Bottled water, soda, and sweet tea were only $2 each. The streamlined food menu included barbecue sandwiches, a hot dog, sides like mac 'n cheese and coleslaw, a loaded mac 'n cheese with barbecue, barbecue nachos, and chips and queso. We had the Jim 'N Nick's Dog ($7) and Loaded Mac 'N Cheese ($9). The dog was made with smoked chorizo sausage topped with sauteed onions, bell peppers, and dijon mustard. It was delicious. I didn't put anything extra on it. It was tasty just the way it was served. The chorizo sausage was nice and plump with excellent savory flavor and appetizing texture. It went well with the mustard, peppers, and onions. It was more satisfying and interesting than your typical concession stand hot dog.The loaded mac 'n cheese was great as well. On the loaded mac, you get the choice of pulled pork or pulled chicken. We got the pulled pork and it was good quality -- tender, moist, and flavorful. There's a condiment stand nearby with Jim 'N Nick's barbecue sauces that you can apply yourself. There were three sauce options: original, a habanero sauce, and a white sauce. We put both the original and habanero sauce on the pork. The sweet, smoky, and spicy flavors of the two sauces blended together nicely. I was impressed with the moistness of the pork because oftentimes you can get pork that's too dry, even at a sit-down restaurant. Jim 'N Nick's did a good job here. As for the mac 'n cheese, it was wonderful. Ooey gooey, smooth and creamy, and delectable.I recommend both the Jim 'N Nick's Dog and the Loaded Mac 'N Cheese (with pulled pork and self-applied sauce). Portion sizes weren't huge, but decent.Kevin was our cashier and he was nice.I'd come back.

Prices were pretty cheap: food and drinks. It's a local restaurant so that's a plus. The hubs and I ordered the slow smoked hand pulled pork sandwich and Jim N' Nick's dog. We wanted the Bar B Q nacho, but they ran out of cheese. :/The sandwich was really dry, mundane, and not really happening without any sauce. So why did the sandwich not have sauce? That's still a mystery. It wasn't like there was BBQ sauce hereby to add any onto the sandwich. It was only the pork, nothing more. The hot dog was decent. It's nothing really inventive. It came with a bratwurst sausage with sauteed green peppers and onions. I liked this more than the sandwich. The sandwich and dog were only $7 apiece; it was not too bad. Their bottled water and regular sodas were only $2! So I think it was merely the prices and appeal of trying something local that stood out from this food adventure.Jim N' Nick's is at the very top section at the 3000's seat level. It's at section 315 to be more precise.

Most everything was great! Friendly, clean and yummy.... cheddar biscuits were the biggest surprise, and love the ice (I know that's weird but it's a thing with me). Pork Sammy and Mac-n-cheese was perfect! Only criticism was the brisket was not pulled at the optimum temp... seemed like you pulled it too early after the stall. The collards were a bit soggy, but I get it, in a restaurant situation you have to let that go (no stars lost for that one).

Just sad! I paid 17.00 for a very small brisket sandwich, order of fries and a lg ice tea. Not only was it totally overpriced for what you get but my order wasn't even right. :(
