JG Chicken & Seafood

JG is a hidden gem in the Austell, Marietta, Mableton area! The chicken here is some of the best in Atlanta and definitely gives some of the long legendary spots a run for their money! We eat here at least 1x a week and it never disappoints. It's a hole in the wall spot, but you can always expect fresh food and good service! I always do takeout because of COVID, so I can't say how the service will be eating in once things are normal, but I always enjoy the food! My go to special is the 10 piece whole wings that is served with fries and cole slaw. Their fried fish is always good too! I love that they sprinkle their food with a signature dust that gives it an extra kick! JG has become a household name in my house and I will continue to support it as long as they're in business!

Obviously this location is under new management. I've always ordered chicken wings and fries. Well the batter for the chicken has been changed and is too thick and the seasoning has changed as well which was what made the chicken taste great.I will not be eating here again.

My picture of a catfish dinner1 looks fantastic right? Yeah, the fish is severely spoiled. Whoever decided that battering this with the smell it had should be put back on day one training. When I called they sounded doubtful because they thought I was talking about the chicken. When I said the fish he immediately without hesitation offered to replace it as if he was aware. No thank you.

Food is always amazing. I pray this place stays in business forever. I always order a combination of the same things and they are consistently good each time. Can't go wrong with chicken fried rice, chicken, or hush puppies. I also always ask for extra seasoning on my chicken.

Best Parmesan fried chicken on the planet !!!!! Comes in a huge family size portion .

Not a fan left a funny after taste in my mouth and my fish was not cooked. I had to show the cook and he made another one but, still wasn't giving what I need. I opened it up and it was still not cooked right.Machine out of Pepsi and the guy at the front so geeked up and lazy he didn't change it. If you trying do Uber eats he keep hitting the button that's why you can't get through.

Food is great when you can get service, she slept 3 minutes maybe longer. I left didn't want to disturb her. I called 20 minutes after leaving she answered. Asked for Manager she said no one was there, what it was in regards to. I told her a JOB.

I love fried fish and chicken and JJs isn't bad...tho overboard with the salt and seasonings. Good food speaks for itself so lighen up,yall

Parking is great; not to crowded, good location; on Austell road, where the old Pizza Hut used to be at, great music playing in the background.

I don't see how this place stays in business. SoWhines, you go by there and they're close. Other times the phone just rings busy so you don't know if they're open or closed. The other day I went by there and they were out of catfish, fries AND chicken. You're out of fish and chicken and that's your business??? I just won't even try again with this location.
