JAX Burgers Fries & Shakes

Good spot for burgers that don't feel like fast food. The burgers are juicy. And I love their challah bread bun. Their home made Jalapeño ketchup is my fav! The few times I have came in, the staff is nice. And anything that you don't like, they have no problems fixing it or getting you something else.

My friend and I visited JAX tonight for the first time and were not disappointed! I got the Baja grilled Chicken sandwich, which turned out to be very large and VERY scrumptious! It had bacon, jalapeños, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, mustard and mayo - YUMMM. I was torn between this sandwich and some of the others, so I'm definitely going to be returning. I did four stars because unfortunately the garlic on the garlic fries wouldn't adhere to the fries and so it basically all fell off onto the plate. I ended up scooping it up and it was really tasty, I just wish the execution was such that the garlic would stick to the fries. I tried my friend's Cajun fries, however, and they were excellently seasoned, so will probably get those next time.

As far as burgers go in the Pearland area, JAX is one of my go to places for a consistently, quality burger. JAX started in north Houston, but now has 3 locations in the Pearland area. There's a location closer to my house, but have been to this location in Shadow Creek a couple times since I was in the area. This one is larger than the original spot in Pearland and has more of a diner feel to it. Customer service has been good the times I have been. I don't have a go to burger here. I just get what looks good when I come in. At this location I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. It takes some time to come out but worth the wait. The burger is pretty large and very filling. I'm typically a thin, smash burger style patty guy, but this thick burger is done just right. It is seasoned to perfection and cooked on a flat top to achieve an excellent char that gives it another pop of flavor. The bun looks super thick, but I think it's needed to carry the thick patty. The bacon is always cooked the way I like, almost to the point of being crispy. I almost always go with the Cajun fries as my side because it's just that good. That being said, they have a variety of burgers, sides and shakes for anyone's taste buds. I will definitely be back!

Stopped in for a quick bite to tide us over before a late dinner. Shakes & fries hit the spot. I had a vanilla malt - on point! DH had a chocolate shake and the only suggestion we could find was they need stronger straws. Garlic Parmesan fries were hot, crispy & well seasoned. Chili cheese fries were well loaded.

When you go through drive through and get someone else's food then try calling them to discuss and being told there is no one here that cares. Won't be back

Almost a month ago I placed an online order to a different location. To no fault of my own the order went to the wrong location. I called immediately to see how we could resolve the issue. However, the "manager" I spoke to over the phone, Maria, refused to give me a refund or even refer the order to the desired location. I will never patronize this business again. I attempted to dispute with my bank, but it's becoming an hassle because this restaurant uses a 3rd party (Chow Now) service to do pickup orders. Regardless of who's fault it is (the restaurant or Chow Now), the customer should not have to suffer.

Our favorite burger place by far! We've tried other burger places but no one else hits the spot. My kids love the cheese burgers with Cajun fries and I usually get the Bacon Blue Cheese Burger with the garlic fries and then we order a couple shakes to share. The owner is a Pearland native so it's nice to support a small family owned business
