Java Owl Coffee House

Java Owl is easily the best coffee shop in the area and arguably my favorite I have ever been to. The coffee is consistently great, as is the food. I highly recommend the empanadas or the cheddar and chive scone but the muffins, other parties, and sandwiches they have are all fantastic. The ambiance is still great. They have many games you can play, sometimes you'll get live music from either pianists or guitarists, and they just expanded the patio and added a covered section that is great!The staff could not be better! The line can be super long at times but because of their efficiency, it moves pretty quickly and they are all very helpful and great at what they do. John is an amazing owner and one of the nicest guys. It's a pleasure talking to him and the rest of the staff!If you are visiting the Clear Lake area and looking for a great spot for coffee and a light breakfast, or you live here, you need to try Java Owl!!

Adorable and big / spacious place. Service was friendly but not Starbucks fast (you don't come to a place like this if you're in a hurry). I got a hot lavender latte and tried the empanadas with a tasty garlic tomato sauce. Expensive and somewhat pretentious coffee house. Perfect for me.

My new neighborhood coffee place! The place is so cute inside and out. John and staff are fantastic with the customer service and coffee recommendations. Love sitting outside on the patio on nice days! Java Owl does not disappoint!!

Stopped by Java Owl Coffee House on our way back to our hotel. We had been out all day exploring, and I desperately needed a pick me up. Parking was easy and plentiful. The interior was bright and spacious. There's a lot of seating indoors and some outdoor. The cafe was buzzing on Saturday afternoon.The staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered an oat milk latte for myself, an americano for my dad, and a vanilla frappe for my son. The drinks came out fast. My oat milk latte was excellent, and my family enjoyed their drinks as well. The prices were reasonable.

This is the cutest little coffee shop & it's decorated so beautifully. The staff was incredibly polite and brought me my coffee as I was reading. They had a gentleman lightly strumming an acoustic guitar such a lovely way to decompress on my off day. I had a Carmel macchiato and added collagen & I can't tell you the last time I had a cup of coffee for less than $5 but the quality was absolutely there.

Absolutely loved the ambiance and decor of this coffee house. The indoor swings were such a cute idea. I also liked their menu, and assortment of coffee. Overall a great place to get coffee in Houston

Too recent visits for lattes and was not disappointed by the carefully crafted coffee drinks. Management and staff are very helpful and work to produce a beverage that will please you. I've never tried any of the food items but they look great, perhaps another trip. The coffee shop is spacious and brightly lit with natural light. Plenty of seating with a couple of very cool swings inside. In the mood for a special brew leaps ahead of the chains, this the place.

Good coffee. Nice local place. However, the inside is small that it is so hard to find a seat.. so I mostly take my drink to go. There is outdoor seating, but who wants to sit out in this sweltering Houston heat with a hot beverage lol. I will point out, every time that I am here I see 1 single person taking up a whole table versus being courteous and allowing others to share the space and/or sitting at an area where it could accommodate just that person. In my opinion, more "community" tables are needed inside to eliminate this issue.
