Japan Express

I just want to say upfront...these people at Japan Express are my hero's. I was winding down from along day and night of working 2 jobs and I was hungry. So I called Japan Express within 10 minutes of them closing to place a to go order. I'd just like to say, that as a person who works in the restaurant industry, I absolutely hate when people show up right before you are supposed to close and want to dine in...it is absolutely inconsiderate. I don't mind you ordering takeout, but jeeze, be mindful of the people working there, they have lives too.Anyways, I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp with fried rice and white sauce. It was still piping hot when I got home. The flavors were delicious. The 2nd time I went to get take out, I made sure to do it well before these folks were closed. Got the hibachi steak and chicken this time, of course with the fried and white sauce.... Btw, the inside of Japan Express isn't fancy, but they've got 2 big screen tv's for you to watch while you eat, so that's nice, and it's super clean. Am definitely a loyal, new customer of this establishment! Will be ordering again soon I'm sure!

Pretty good! I ordered the habachi chicken and white rice sans onions. To make the dish gluten free, I requested for the chicken and veggies not to be soy sauced. It came out hot and well browned. Heads up, make sure you grab salt because without the soy sauce the veggies are bland (although beautifully cooked). The restaurant was completely empty apart from the steady flow of folks picking up to-go orders. It's loud inside from the kitchen and has fluorescent lighting and tile floors. It felt on par with fast food (it takes ~10min) but I appreciated the healthier options. Nice service.

I wanted to try Japan Express to see if it's a quality take out hibachi place. Fried rice was very dry, I didn't know how long the shrimp had been "pre cooked" for and the chicken was dried out. The white sauce tasted watered down and there was nothing tasty about this meal. It was "express" because nothing was freshly made. When I placed my order, they scooped out the ingredients from a warmer and placed it in a to go box. Sadly, I will not be returning to this hibachi place in the future.

For express hibachi -- not bad at all! I ordered the ribeye but the person at the register heard me wrong and rung me up for a hibachi steak instead which I didn't mind or complain about. My food came out extra quick. It looks like everything is pre-cooked and sits on a hot bar ready to be served. I understand why they call it "express" now. The steak was thinly cut, a tougher cut of beef but edible. The rice was actually good. The MVP had to be the white/shrimp sauce. That had to be one of the best I've had in the area. It was thick and actually had the classic flavor that I'm used to.Overall, great option if you need to grab something quick and on the go.

Tried a carryout lunch from Japan Express recently. I had the Teriyaki Chicken with a spring roll appetizer and a side of fried rice. Pretty decent food -- I'm not much of a sushi fan, but there are enough other offerings on the menu to make me want to return to try them out.The ambience is pretty much that of a typical fast food joint -- there were a handful of people dining in but most of the business going on appeared to be carryout. Service was OK, too.

Always really good, fast and the people who work are always very kind. It's a smaller space but never packed so a great place to dine in if you're feeling like it or makes good takeout.

It was solid. Crab Ragoons resemble spring rolls but, nonetheless they were still good. I have the steak and chicken which was solid. A little under seasoned.

Hibachi Salmon $18.26 just a joke for tiny little pieces of salmon, little pieces of vegetables including better skin of zucchini, onion and 3 small pieces of broccoli. Way more differentthat Chica hibachi. I am not happy

- You Get What You Pay For -Shrimp Tempura appetizer, and Miso.Shrimp disappointing taste, texture. Stale cooking oil. Emergency potty calls all night.Miso. Salty warm water w/3 tiny square cabbage scrap floaters. Attempted but 2 spoonfuls.

Great food, quick service, and always very clean restaurant. Love coming to this place. You can't beat the price either!
