Jamrock Restaurant

Dropped by while around the area for lunch on a Monday. It's a cute small spot with a few seating tables inside. It was empty when we got there but quickly filled up for lunch. I got the small goat curry plate with a side of the rice and peas. The plate was definitely packed to the brim and very full! The portions were great as well as the flavor. The meat was very tender and the curry was so well-seasoned. I had no problem scarfing everything down. The lady working was also very sweet and nice.Y'all need to come here if you're looking for authentic Caribbean food with great portions!

Walked up and have been thinking of it for days now. Those wings were incredible and fairly priced for such a huge portion. Very friendly people working there with great suggestions and walk up orders made it easy to take to go.

Good food for a great price. The place is small but was packed, which you always love to see. Jerk chicken was quite flavorful but very spicy! Not a complaint, but definitely more than I expected haha. The spicy beef patty was excellent as well. Many other items were quite appealing too.

I am always looking local places to get food from and I wanted to visit Jamaica so I looked on Yelp and they gave me this place. I enjoyed it the food was seasoned really well. The service was good the people were nice. Service. Ambiance was cool too. I will be back

Not sure why this place is rated so low. Jamrock is INCREDIBLE! Literally the best Jamaican food I've ever had in my life! A lovely family owned business. The father and son were crushing it! Not only are they so kind but they gave us fresh, made to order Jamaican food and made us feel at home. Literally so authentic. I had the fish plate with all the fixings and my husband had the oxtail.Let me tell you: that fish, that fish was incredibly tender with the best, can't describe kind of sauce that was flavorful and had some spice that was not overpowering but was just right. The best rice and beans came with it too and they pickled their cabbage. Wow! So delicious and filling! The oxtail. OH. MY. GOSH. Wow! Tender, succulent, great spice and flavor, just incredible! Jamrock Restaurant is such a hidden gem. There is no other place like it. If you want authentic, fresh Jamaican food and amazing, warm and friendly service, come to Jamrock restaurant! Can't wait to come back! They really should get a Michelin star. I'm telling you, that good! Incredible! Come to Jamrock Restaurant!! So good! :)

This spot used to be located off Moreland Ave & I-20. They have the best jerk chicken I've been able to find here in Atlanta. Quantity of food is respectable for the price as well. The owner and employees are always easy going & polite. When taking your order. Never any attitude or feeling of being rushed. I will say this new location is tricky when it comes to parking. But there is a paid $5 parking garage directly to the right of the business. For this Jerk Chicken... it's totally worth it. The inside is not very large. & there are just a few tables to sit down and enjoy your food. In my opinion, the food is more important to me than the ambiance.

Ordered thru DoorDash. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Very reasonably priced. Ordered two meals, jerk chicken and oxtails. Both were delicious and plentiful. Arrived on time, as stated on App. Very satisfied.

Very mediocre. Rice & peas was decent. So was the cabbage.. disappointed in the mac & cheese. I kept asking was it creamy and cheesy, she said yes. Then I got it & it's literally the pasta noodles with cheese. Dry!The jerk chicken was a BIG disappointment. It has a very odd taste. It's almost as if they mixed Walmart jerk chicken sauce with their own recipe and it's gross. I love spicy food but this was Wayyyy to spicy... I'm used to jerk chicken having a sweet jerk taste. I will say that the chicken was fresh & well cooked. The sauce really just ruined my meal though. Why aren't there any good Jamaican restaurants in Atlanta!!

Local restaurant with several tables inside. They have lunch specials for $7.50 and mini lunch specials for $5.50. I got the jerk chicken with cabbage and beans/rice for $10, and it was very filling and came with 3 big pieces of chicken. I'm glad I got the jerk sauce on the side - the tender chicken was already very spicy. The beans and rice and cabbage weren't bad as well! I'm used to jerk chicken being sweet but this one was savory and spicy - probably more authentic. I should have gotten the plantains - I bet they're good. Not a restaurant that I would go out of my way to go to, but a quick spot to grab food in the area (esp if you're on jury duty).
