I just got my reasonably priced meal for my wife. We enjoyed our time we were respectful and we enjoy our time at the restaurant.

This is a great place with great people and great food!! I choose it over any other Mexican Resturant in town! And let's not forget about the great MARGARITAS!!

AWESOME food. This is a tiny little place in the middle of nowhere. They have this buffet that is seriously one of the best I've ever seen. Authentic Mexican food, cheap, and just awesome. The buffet has enchiladas, nachos, tacos, burritos, most mixed to your liking. If you're ever near by, its worth a stop.

This is a fantastic, 5-Star restaurant without the 5-Star prices! I stopped here for vital nourishment on 27JUN2011 while enduring a 1400+mile/2200+kms Trans-Texas Bicycle Odyssey, 11JUN-08JUL2011. It was so well worth it--I enjoyed a delicious local quail luncheon, as well as plenty of COLD, clean freshwater (a MUST-HAVE for anyone, especially if they are involved in a physically strenuous feat). I highly recommend it to locals and travellers alike!

This is our go-to favorite Mexican restaurant when visiting the Hallettsville area from San Antonio. So grateful that you are open late.

Excellent food! I have to admit coming in to Jalisco, I was biased because there is so much great Mexican food in Houston but this place is fantastic I had the Enchiladas Verdes and I have to say they were the best I've had in years and I eat a LOT of Enchiladas Verdes. My husband had the Carne Asada and loved it. Great place to have lunch or dinner. Food and service was fabulous! Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. Love it and we'll be back

I am disappointed writing a review that is as negative as this shall be. The Tex-Mex food was not spicy but, at least it was not ice cold. On the positive side they do have a full bar at Jalisco Mexican Restaurant. This family owned restaurant in the town of Hallettsville, Lavacca County, Texas could not have produced more bland Mexican food had they tried. I tried a variety of their offerings thanks to their Jalisco Dinner of which only the beef tamale was alright. The rest of my meal was rather poor in terms of flavor. The food served to me (which took far too long to reach my table after ordering) tasted as though little salt and no peppers were used in any of the dishes served to me. Admittedly I am not their target customer because I live a two hour drive away in Houston but, come on! Decent restaurant food is decent restaurant food regardless of the location. The restaurant did not even have a bottle of any hot sauce I might use to improve their flavorless food. The waiter suggested I use their mild salsa which was delivered to my table with stale tortilla chips instead of the previously mentioned non-existent in this restaurant hot sauce. How does any restaurant in Texas regardless of the sort of food being served not at least have a single bottle of Tabasco sauce, Cholula sauce, Don Julio sauce or any other pepper sauces? I cannot begin to express my disappointment. Skip this restaurant/bar.

Homemade & delicious! Not over priced, either. One of the first Tex-Mex restaurants in town. Still tastes the best, too!

Definitely worth the visit. We were close by at the waterpark, and looking for some Mexican food and margaritas. Lots of choices in the area, but mixed yelp reviews. We tried this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Tasty margaritas, attentive service, and we really enjoyed the enchilada verde, beef quesadillas, and cheese enchiladas!
