The menu was expansive and full of a lot of great items from some typical Tex-Mex items to your more authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was spectacular with the chips not only coming out with Salsa, but also with Queso and Bean dip; all were fantastic. The Carne Guisada I ordered with Corn tortillas were sublime and the atmosphere was really indicative of authentic colors and atmosphere. I will be back should I ever come through El Campo.

I was pleasantly surprised. I have gotten so burned out on all of the local Tex-mex places. They all taste the same. I ordered carne guisada and it was GOOD! I'm not used to spicy carne guisada but I can sure get used to this. The bean dip and salsa is reason enough to visit, the food is reason enough to come back. They were short-staffed and busy but the help they did have did their best to keep everyone happy. I'll be back!

Wow....the food was amazing! The chips, salsa and margaritas were just as good. We will definitely be back!!!!

Hands down the best authentic Mexican around. Everything is good and fresh. Free queso and beans too.

The food is excellent and they use real ingredients. They just started serving alcohol, and the mango margarita was delicious!! Great location, and beautiful entrance with lots of flowers. Everyone is very kind and helpful. A must go to restaurant!

I love going to Jalapeño's any day of the week. Their food is always good! We've needed. Good place like this for a while.

.Went by ''Jalapeno's'' wanting to have lunch.Was greeted by two large red " 51% " signs on entry door.Didn't even stop, just went to a competitor.I refuse to patronize any business which recklessly and ignorantly endangers their own customers & patrons.To my knowledge, this is the ONLY local eatery with this condition.We spend a lot of time in ElCampo.You have been warned !Rick.

Comfy little Mexican restaurant in the heart of El Campo. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the enchiladas verdes and they were packed with chicken. The Al Pastor quesadilla is HUGE and great for sharing. Servers were kind and checked in on us regularly with fast service. Will definitely return when I'm back in town!

My wife and I tried for first time- so so so wanted to like this place - menu looks impressive - My wife ordered the mini-corn-tortilla tacos with chicken fajita -I had the Mole Hoya Soup dish (I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mole)Chicken Fajita meat was DRY and CHEWY, NO flavor - should have sent the plate backThe Mole Soup - Large bowl, FULL to the rim and HOT off the stove - Contained a LARGE slice of center bone-in roast? maybe ? Impossible to reallyattack inside a blazing hot bowl of thin and not very flavorful broth - Like I said, really really really wanted to like this place - nothing else worth mentioning, chips ok, red chunky salsa very pedestrian, queso very plain, bean dip very plain - I am shocked by the amazing gallery photos after looking at our table - I should have taken a photo of our failed meal - the worst part is I try to feed my wife good food every day - for her to try to eat that dry chicken fajita meat, I really feel bad she did not complain to me - TWO Stars is being generous -
