Usually an older crowd, but still lots of fun. I like coming here for all the different live bands and cheap drinks. Staff is always nice and lots of fun. They have a couple of pool tables, shuffleboard, and darts. There is also a pretty good sized dance floor.

Good drinks, reasonable prices.. karaoke on every other Saturday night, 10 diamond tables, 2 Valley tables. Basically a pool hall. Typically, tournaments on Friday and Saturday nights. League play 7 days a week, so usually a table isn't available until after 9:30, but still worth the wait. Aesthetically not eye pleasing, but still a good place to hang out.. Good people, good staff

This place is a little hole in the wall, and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible. I started coming here because they have free poker night 3 nights a week. Its a friendly, family run business. They have their regulars at the bar, and the bartenders and waitresses learn your name. They have live music from time to time as well! Its a cozy little bar away from the hustle and bustle of downtown!

The bar is pretty much a dump. The men's room could use a good cleaning and coat or two of paint. The drink prices aren't really that great. $4.25 for a Blue Moon draft is a bit over the top. Pool and Poker appear to be the big draws here. Unfortunately, I don't play either so It's really not a place that I would frequent. Nick the owner is very nice though as are the bartenders, Nona and Sherry Bob. If I go to Lopez for lunch, I will definitely stop there for a drink but otherwise, I'll miss it.

I work around the area, seen this place before in the corner but never stepped inside. Stopped by three weeks ago. I thought it was going to be a small dive bar but turned out to be a big place with dartboards, pool table and dance floor. The crowd was older but I don't mind that. The no smoking inside had me pleased even though I don't mind if they do anyways. Was welcome with open arms. Prices are decent and decided to stay. Will come back in the future.

Convenient to the freeway, that's good. Looks like they're remodeling... this place could use a lot of help. The one bartender acts/seems like she's on crack. I was shocked at my bill when I learned I was charged for Diet Coke, for first serve AND refill, even though I bought alcohol. It'll be easier next time to avoid ordering anything.

Jacks for cocktails is the place to be on Friday nights. The bar is geared to have cheap mixers (lots of bottled options, few drafts) and has pool, shuffleboard and darts available. The crowd is generally older (30s to 60s) and is an overall friendly and very inviting. The service is flawless and the prices are some of the best in the city.Poker is the main draw to the bar (Texas hold 'me, no limit, run by an entertainment company called "snowman") the bar goers are way into it, and you'll have up to 10 tables at the start of Friday night tournaments. It's a really fun time if you are looking to hang out and meet some characters. If you are looking to dance and hook up, go somewhere else.

I would call it a dive bar, but not in a negative way. Lots of characters and a lot of fun. Drinks are cheap, but good quality. Great juke box and a wide variety of music. Seasoned bartenders. Friendly owners. Wednesday and some other nights feature a limited menu with good burgers and some finger foods, but not each night. If you like Live Texas Hold 'em poker, they have it each Wednesday. Been going there since 1980, with hiatus a decade or two at a time. Best thing about Jack's. If you ever want to revisit a 1980s wild west Houston bar, it's no different now than it was then - no different now then it was then.

I have always seen their ads in Music News , so I've been curious for a while. So I set off for Another epic evening adventure. I 'm always a little apprehensive checking out a new place but soon I came in I immediately felt comfortable. The place big and clean. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They had a s great band that night too. I also got to meet the owners Debbie and Mark, who were great fun people who actually hung out and partied with us . I've been back many times never to be disappointed.
