IZA Robata

I don't know what I can tell you to come here other than YOU NEED TO COME HERE! This is my favorite local spot, been here numerous times and I can honestly say that they are always consistent. Always clean, neat, and minimalistic which allows you to appreciate the environment even more with a glass of wine.From their tasty gyoza, to their raw octopus, honestly all their apps are delicious, the only issue is settling with just a few. Their buns are also a favorite with my family, the soft crab and pork ones are our favorites.Spicy chicken Ramen is my go-to all the time but I like to steal some bites from my boyfriend's steak hibachi, I tell you they know how to properly cook a steak hibachi with rice and veggies. Their teas are also a great addition to the overall experience, Peach is my favorite with their peach popping balls, my daughter personally loves the "fancy" glasses they come with to add that extra touch.Lastly, the service is always great! I feel like IZA hires employees with the same expectation from Chick-fil-a because everyone is always so kind. When I say kind, they are always happy to greet you, give you a genuine smile, and such a overall a great experience at a community restaurant.

Very clean, attentive service and the menu was great. Also pretty affordable so you can try different things. Worth the drive. The only issues we had was the chicken was way too big for the bao itself.

I love this franchise, but this location in particular is disappointing and it has disappointed me several times. I ordered through Uber Eats and they neglected my order Notes twice . They literally just fix it with no care of your request.

My boyfriend and I were in the neighborhood and wanted to try this place since I was hungry and craving a poke bowl. This place use to be a katsu place which was my favorite but unfortunately closed due to Covid. However this new concept seemed very cool so we were both interested to see what food they served! When we entered, we were seated at a booth and a server came by to give us menus. However afterwards, he never came back to check in and take our orders so we had to ask for someone. When the server finally came back, we placed our orders all at once. Their menu is pretty extensive and has a large variety to choose from but I got their poke bowl, my boyfriend got an unagi bowl, I ordered the takowasa (pickled octopus) but it didn't have a medium to be enjoyed with, such as seaweed. It was just by itself. I also asked for 2 skewers which were forgotten until we brought it up and then the server brought it out. My boyfriend didn't enjoy the unagi bowl much because there was no sauce with it. It was pretty dry. He had to ask for extra unagi sauce just to add to the rice so that the eel had some additional flavor. I enjoyed my poke bowl which was overflowing and way more food than I anticipated. The skewers were delicious though with a nice flavor to it! I would be open to trying this place again, I just hope that service has since improved and that they're more organized so that orders aren't forgotten. Great place for small groups or single individuals to enjoy some japanese bar food or a quick bite!

I absolutely love coming to IZA Robata. I brought a coworker for her first time and it's always nice to see people try it for the first time. The service is always amazing! The place is clean and the food is delicious. We got a little bit of everything to try as much food as we could. We ate everything up, they bring out your appetizers as they are ready so your food is always coming out pipping hot!!

You can tell when a owner takes time in their business in the food lighting and most importantly wine selection. Absolutely love coming here it is definitely one of my Ramen sushi destinations. The staff is always polite and attentive. Two of my favorite things to get are The 72 hour Ramen and the Unagi bowl.

I don't know what food critics call an "umami" flavor for some foods, but if it means really salty ramen, then this restaurant does it in spades. I ordered the iza poke, which, from the description on the menu, seemed like the tastiest of the poke options. I wanted to avoid meat because it's pretty much what my family and I have had in our entire time here in Houston. What I don't understand is their poke seems to have been mixed with a salad. Who puts lettuce and cherry tomatoes in a bowl of poke?The seafood ramen was so salty. As was the takiyoki and the gyoza dumplings, though that was tasty. I also ordered the mango boba tea, and it was really sour. I think I'm coming down with a sore throat so I decided to order some warm water like my mom and aunt did. It came out scalding hot. How hard is it to make warm water?

I decided to go outside of my comfort zone on this visit and try a beef miso ramen instead of my usual pork tonkotsu. It didn't taste great, and something tells me the tonkotsu wouldn't have tasted very good either. The broth lacked flavor. I am a huge Thai tea fan, but something tasted off with this one. Still searching for some good ramen in the area... this one was yet another strike unfortunately.

Was at a carmeet last night and I was getting hungry. Luckily, the carmeet was held in this shopping center at the Vibtage neighborhood. Iza Robata was amongst the few food area around and I was happy to visit the establishment again.I ordered my usual rainbow poke and added the shrimp tempura don. It was delicious and i love the food when it is warm and they delivered it just that.We walked the carpark around with me hugginf my poke bowls checking out all the cars and bikes. It was fun to be there and enjoyed the food even more.I recommend anyone to try their food if you haven't done so. I was too busy eating and walking the carpatk I didn't get photos of my bowls.

We were starving and wanted something different. This spot is somewhat hidden. Nice seating area outside and the vibe of the inside is upbeat. They have a full bar and perhaps that's what they pride themselves on because we were not impressed with the dishes. We got grilled edamame, shrimp dumplings, spicy Thai shrimp ramen and hibachi shrimp. All dishes but the edamame and hibachi shrimp were bland. The ramen was just spicy. The best part of the ramen was the boiled egg and shrimp but I'm pretty sure the shrimp was grilled with the others before adding it to the ramen.Not saying that this spot is a no go. It just wasn't hitting the spot for us. I'm sure that since they had a few condiments on the side that they're expecting the customer to flavor as they'd like.Service seemed possibly tired or had too much on her plate because we'd ask questions or respond to her and she'd just have a blank stare but she was also serving a larger party next to us. I can understand that and let that pass.Overall, give the spot a try. Perhaps it was just an off night.
