Istanbul Doner & Kebap

So I tried this place for the first time today and I even told the guy this was my first time and for some reason this is what I was given for a chicken shawarma arabi order. It's burnt. Tastes super weird. When I pick up a piece it falls apart and the entire sandwich is broken. Just wasted my money and I will not be returning at all. I expected much better after reading the reviews and looking at the pics. I don't recommend.

I love this food truck. We are limited to Turkish food in houston so this gives anyone more of a reason to try it out. I was skeptical to try the food since I hadn't heard much about this place but I was optimistic when I drove past here with my Windows rolled down and smelled the delicious food. The Adana kabob plate looked amazing so I gave it a go and to my luck I find myself there quite often getting the same thing but I have promised myself to change it up the next time I go so looking forward to making my way through the rest of the menu. Definitely get the Adana kabob. You will be amazed how juicy and fresh the kabob's are!

Incredibly disappointed with this place. I took an Uber out here thinking this place was open. Both on google and Yelp it said they were up and running this late at 11pm. Yelp said 12 but google said 2am so I thought I'd be good at least since I came around 11pm. You guys need to update your hours online, set times and stick to them. I called to check if they were open around 10ish and I just assumed they were busy since it's a small truck. The area is sketchy too so that just made it worse. My poor Uber driver had to stay back so I could rush to find something to eat for the night. Thank God Gyro Hut was open. The food is delicious here so I definitely recommend. It's literally across the street.

Best Turkish kebab in town, no kidding! Especially Ahmet is the master of kebabs as he's from Adana, can't beat that taste!

I didn't know what Doner was and I saw this new food truck by my office so I decided to give it a try. I had the best lunch today, I absolutely loved it! The seasoning on the meat was fantastic and it had the texture of roast beef instead of ground pressed meat. Next time I'll definitely get it with the white sauce already on it that was also fantastic but the red sauce was too spicy for me. The service was fast and friendly, I will definitely be back soon!

I've been meaning to try this place for some time. Honestly I wanted to try the adana kebab but they ran out . Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. The service was awesome. Super kind gentleman taking the order.food was fresh and served piping hot just 10 mins after ordering. They also give hefty portions. I liked how you could just park on the side by the uhauls, make a quick deli run (love that gas station deli) or fill up your gas while you wait. Now for the food...Because they did not have the adana kebab I decided to go with lamb platter. It was decent 4/5. Lamb was seasoned well but lacked a certain punch and zest. The rice was very different from what I'm used to from most meat/rice trucks. Very very very orange almost like they added food coloring. The taste was kind of bland. I used the spicy mayo from the feta rolls and added some of their red sauce and it definitely elevated the rice.. I will say that the pickled veggies were super fresh and tasted so good. As for the feta rolls, I thought this was just ok. 3/5. Not much taste. The 2 sauces they give you with it are not appropriate in my opinion. When I got home, I decided to try them with honey. Yes, HONEY! Went from 3/5 to 5/5. Tip to the truck: offer the feta rolls with honey instead.The price was right. I believed I paid less than $15 for all of the food I got. Final grade: B+Absolutely plan to go back.

I got the Adana plate and paid extra for rice at the vendor's suggestion. Tis a mistake. The rice, though I can appreciated the spices in it, was inedibly dry. The salad with pickled veggies were good, and the meat was good, though. If you get this plate, don't fall for the upsell.

My Dad was in an appointment at VA. I got hungry waiting and I needed to refuel. This food truck on Citgo's premises was so busy the whole time I refueled at Citgo. I then made my way there too for a warm meal on the go. Best beef and lamb wrap I've had in a very long time. My new stop when taking Dad for his VA appointments. The Gas station owner was awesome too.

Dude, I ordered beef over rice. This is what I got!! Is that beef over rice or charcoal over rice!! What a disgusting food truck I have ever had.... Ya must cheat in different way to make f... money!!
