Island Tings does not play! Their curry and jerk chicken dishes were tender, spicy, and delicious. The rice and peas were flavorful and the cooked cabbage was nice and crunchy still. I also got a ginger lemonade which I did find to be too sweet and was able to water down. The young person behind the counter looked tired which is very understandable. They were able to help more than one person at a time in a timely manner and made sure the portions were ample. Island Tings decor is like nothing I had ever seen before in a restaurant. Of course there a wallpaper panorama of a beautiful beach and yet I was surprised to see a woman in a thong bikini on the beach. Another side of wallpaper had a much closer up picture of a woman wearing a wet t-shirt which had JAMAICA printed on it. I was only getting takeout but the decor was clearly vibrant and colorful. Only good tings at Island Tings!

Unfortunately, as with many Black owned businesses, and specifically Jamaican restaurants, the service is HORRIBLE! My husband and I waited for a while to place our order, then we had to wait forever to receive our food. And when my husband went back up to the counter to inquire, the lady was so nonchalant with absolutely no sense of urgency. Another customer complained about the wait as well and a man who'd come from the back replied, "she's by herself, I came out here to help her". While I can understand that the restaurant is shortstaffed, that's not the customers fault and I feel like the service should at least make up for the but it didn't. The employee acted as if they were upset with the customers, when we are the one keeping them in business. But even with a good product, if the service is crap the business will not last. (Just ask the owner of Golden crust that was in that spot before them) was Need to say my husband and I will not be back.In addition, the styrofoam containers are the absolute worst to serve this kind of food in. I strongly suggest that they separate the wet foods like the curry shrimp from the cabbage and rice. this is why the juice spilled all in the bag before we even got to our car.

I tried some rice, some jerk chicken and vegetables. It was tasty. Service was pleasant enough.

The food was delicious, the portions are large and the staff is friendly and kind. But read your receipt people, the down side here is when you order in person at the establishment, they charge a 3.5% "restaurant fee"... not a credit card fee, not a tip, not an extra condiments fee, not a take-out fee, not a dine-in fee... a restaurant fee at a restaurant is absolutely ridiculous, charging your customers for being willing to patronize your business is a terrible business practice. How do you charge customers a fee for standing in front of you, I'll stick to ordering from a delivery service from here, at least being charged more is for my convenience and not for being human and actually ordering at the store since I'm already in the shopping center...

Not your typical Jamaican restaurant, once you walk in you'll see the decor and art work dedicated to Jamaican culture. I ordered the jerk pasta, very flavorful. The server was very nice and efficient, with managing DoorDash, Uber orders and serving others in front of her. Very clean area and easy to find.

This evening, my family ordered dinner for FOUR from this location. When the food arrived, via Uber Eats, ONE meal was delivered and it was STILL the wrong meal. It took nearly 10 minutes to get someone on the phone to attempt to rectify the order. When we finally did get through, they offered basically no opportunity to resolve the matter, which was clearly a mistake in their part. It is unfortunate that this is how they choose to conduct business. I wish them all the best in their future endeavors; we will no longer be supporting this "establishment".

I wish I could leave no stars, I ordered Uber eats and got no food the wrong order. Truly disgusted with this service.

Extremely rude customer service, the woman working on 7/11/24 at 9:51 pm walks over with her phone texting we had to wait until she was done texting for her to acknowledge us. We greet her she doesn't even greet us with a simple hello goes back to texting we ask if she had oxtails she mumbles under her breath. We asked her to repeat herself she looked so annoyed that we asked her to repeat it. Wouldn't ever give this place my money. I'm from New York this restaurant hands down has the worst customer service ever
