Perfection is an understatement. Chef Sujan's incredible attention to every detail doesn't go unnoticed. From the moment we walked in, we felt like this would be special and the sentiments continued throughout each of the seven or eight courses as well as the opening cocktails are the bar and small treats at the end.The food is a mix of Indian and French and it stays true to its' genre. As an Indian, I deeply recognized each flavor and for someone who appreciates the aesthetic and richness of French food, the match was so refreshing and yet extremely intimate and 'known'Our favorites off the pescatarian tasting menu were the scallops, the Dahi puri appetizer which offers a burst of chaat flavor in your mouth yet pastry like presentation on the plate. The seabass, daal makahani, the naan stuffed with cheeses and the layered kaju katli inspired paneer dish were all to die for. Oh and the khaman!!! Try for sure!!!Special mention to our server and the bartender who's simply rocked!! What a special meal. Would highly recommended the wine pairings and telling them what you like or dislike early on.

I have never done an Indian tasting so wasn't sure what to expect, but boy am I glad we came to try this Michelin ! We added the supplementary courses to share between 2 and it was just the right amount of food.Service was excellent and the food was so interesting and flavorful. The first bite (DHOKLA AERO) blew me away. I wasn't quite sure what to expect visually, but eating it was a unique experience... it disintegrated in my mouth in a way that I wasn't expecting. The GREEN MANGO PANI PURI was a burst of juicy flavor with a crispy texture. The scallops were one of our favorite plates. It was cooked to perfection - very tender and meaty. The cauliflower sauce it came in was wonderful as well - so creamy but with the perfect balance of acidity from the citrus. Plus, you can never go wrong with caviar ;) The lamb kebab was marinated SO WELL - I honestly didn't think it needed any of the garnishes it came with, tho those were fun to try as well. The CHICKEN MAKHANI was a little underwhelming after so many excellent courses. The MISHTI DOI was a great dessert to finish off the menu and beautiful as well.We ordered a mango non-alcoholic drink, which we didn't finish. However, the cocktails really surprised me! I can't remember the names but the passionfruit oxidized wine one - initially I thought they had accidentally gave me wine then smelled it - had the most fragrant aroma. I wanted to bottle it up and use as a perfume! It was so smooth to drink. The strawberry vodka one was so cute and tasted great too - not too sweet. For my foodies - the sea bass cocktail was so unique and interesting and tasty - definitely not a drink you'll find anywhere else so I highly recommend trying! If you're on the fence about coming here, I definitely recommend!!

From the team of Baar Baar, this was an elevated, contemporary Indian fine dining experience that was well worth going to. The ambiance is upscale and modern. Service was on point. My husband and I did the non vegetarian menu and he enjoyed the Reserve wine pairing with it. The cocktails were extremely well made as well. Favorites were definitely the lamb two ways (get the cheese kulcha with it), the chicken makhani, scallops, and Pani puri (so basically everything). Would absolutely come back and also recommend this to anyone looking for an experience dining that is outside American cuisine with robust flavors.

This was my first michelin star experience and it was special since it was an Indian restaurant. I have always felt double minded about eating Indian in a sophisticated setting but this place blew my mind. Every recipe was authentic and at the same time it was play of gastronomy with each bite uncovering different flavors of food in layers. Lifetime experience. Service was really great. They were so polite and patient. Only thing i would be careful is listening and double checking with servers since we ordered few things as addons thinking it was a part of the menu and ended up costing almost $50 extra. Since it's already a huge blow on the pocket. Add ons is just extra hole . Otherwise great place

My first Michelin starred Indian experience When I was growing up, the highlight of the month for me was going to a hole in the wall Indian restaurant located in Wall Township, NJ. Those days gave me a deep appreciation and predilection towards the bold flavors of Indian Cuisine.Indienne took me on a journey I could have never fathomed. Each course in their non-vegetarian tasting menu left me breathless. I don't know HOW I can go back to my (down the block) Indian place I visit once a week after this. The Chicken Makhani was a true standout. The scallop was oh so tender and donned with a generous serving of osteria caviar. The blackberry and buckwheat tart amuse bouche was slightly reminiscent of Alinea's "explosion" - only sweeter! I also had the ability to try a couple of experimental cocktails from the bar staff. They were OFF THE CHARTS!! If you come here (which you must), let the bar staff work their magic on you.

We had some very mixed feelings about Indienne but ultimately it did not live up to our expectations, not by a long way.We are huge fans of Indian food and India itself, we eat Indian food regularly and eat at fine dining establishments several times a month. We have eaten at top rated Indian restaurants in London, the Middle East and India. The surroundings at Indienne are nice (first time we had been in this space since it was Graham Elliott) and the staff we encountered were all very pleasant and professional. However, we felt like the food and wine were at best average and did not live up to the price point. The amuses were nice, as were our cocktails, but $26 for a gin and tonic is crazy. I could have had a better one at The Aviary or Violet Hour for $5 less. The first course of a lentil donut sounded good but was too sweet, it was more like a desert. The scallop was lovely. The lamb rib was just fat, no meat but the patty was good. The bread was nice but it cost extra .... yes an extra charge for the bread on a chefs tasting menu. The crab (a supplemental course for an additional $21) was nice, but $21 for less than an ounce of crab and some rice? The chicken was nice, as was the black dahl that accompanied it. The naan that came with it was nice and it was "free". The chocolate desert was decent. We also did the wine pairing and they were the stingiest pours we've ever had, perhaps 2oz, if that. Between the entire pairing courses we receive the equivalent of perhaps 2.5 glasses of wine. All in all we felt like the $700 price tag for the 2 of us did not represent a good value, in fact it felt excessive for the quality of the meal. On our way home I couldn't help but think that we should have just had delivery from Cumin, bought a couple of bottles of wine and kept $550 in our bank account.

One of my work friends had visited this place for her anniversary and she was raving about the food and service she experienced. I know Chef Sujan's Culinary works from Rooh and I was thinking about trying their tasting menu here. With my friend's strong review, I planned to try out their 5-course menu for the springtime. The restaurant's interiors are simplistic with a nice touch of pastel colors. We arrived earlier than our reservation time but we got seated at our table. From cocktails to our 5-course menu, nothing was short of brilliance. Being Indian, I was very much impressed by the new creativity of native dishes. I would highly recommend trying their London (gin and tonic) - they bring the cart to your table and they make it with exotic flavors.

Wow! What a fantastic experience. This is my first Michelin star exposure and I am so glad to have it be at Indienne. Reservations were easy to make through the online site and we were seated very quickly when we arrived at our assigned time. Our servers were quick and patient with explaining all the menu options (we don't eat Indian food a lot, so really appreciated the explanations!). There are several add ons for small extra fees that I highly recommend! My favorite dish was the scallop - a nice richness with full body taste that melts in your mouth. I highly recommend getting the crab dish! The presentation is flashy! It is expensive, but you definitely get the experience you pay for. Impeccable and attentive service with delicious food. I will highly consider revisiting for another momentous / celebratory occasion - We celebrated our anniversary here and were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne.
