Food was excellent! Very cute, cozy atmosphere! The service was great as well, very friendly people, will definitely be going back:)

Had a reservation on a Monday evening. It was empty when we arrived but filled up by the time we were leaving!The food was delicious and big portions! The Malai Kofta was so yummy! I had it made mild and it had a nice kick to it. I also had a house white wine - chenin blanc which was also good! Service was a bit on the slower side. Our food came out quickly but it took a bit to get our orders and for a second round of drinks.

Atmosphere: Monsoon is fittingly decorated with colorful umbrellas on the ceiling. There are a decent number of tables available inside. During the day, the large windows let in plenty of natural light! Service: The service was friendly and fast! Food: We ordered the Rogan Josh, Spiced Mango Shrimp Curry, Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. All of the dishes were beautifully presented. The Rogan Josh was tasty and had nice chunks of chicken. The Spiced Shrimp Mango Curry was flavorful, though the shrimp was a little tough. The Tikka Masala was good -- creamy and rich! Overall: We'd recommend Monsoon if you're looking for well-presented dishes that are also packed with flavor. We were pretty satisfied with our meal and had plenty of leftovers to enjoy at home.

We really enjoyed our dinner meal. Service was fast and friendly and the food was great! We had Mysore masala dosa tandoori shrimp, chicken tikka and almond korma with chicken. The shrimp were large juicy and tasty. The chicken tender and flavorful. And the basket of naan was right for a party of 4. We loved the modern design of the room and the VERY convenient parking. Definitely will return

Very glad we stopped here during road trip. Excellent food and atmosphere. We ordered a platter which is only available on weekend. The portions were huge and every item was very delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian cuisine.

This was my first time coming to Monsoon. I'm glad we decided to check it out. It has a cool ambiance and the staff is so friendly. The food and drinks were delicious. Plus there was enough to take food home. But be ready for some spice! We will definitely be back!

This place was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I tried it since it was absolutely fantastic. The service was superb with the food coming out extremely fast and the server was attentive to check in on any needs or to fill up the water though wasn't pushy. The garlic naan was amazing with a crisp bite with flavor bursting of herbs and spices. The chicken tikka masala was also a huge portion size with both the entree and the rice. It was spicy with a nice kick but not unbearable. They had an appetizer of some chips and sauces after we sat down (included) which was a nice start to the dinner. I would highly recommend this very nice and hospitable place with exceptional food and service. The inside seemed more on the fine dining side than casual but still very welcoming.

In my travels for work, I get a chance to eat Indian cuisine all over the US. I have to say that this place rates at the top of my stops. I put my judgment on the Lamb Vindaloo, Samosa app, and garlic Naan. The lamb was cut with a fork tender and the Naan was great. I will be traveling to NC in the near future and I will make a point to eat here again.

Indian Monsoon is located in Downtown Durham and close enough to dine at before a show at DPAC.The website is a little confusing with opening times as it has both 11am and 12pm in different areas on the website. The website also takes reservations for 11am so that is when we went. The workers arrived at 10:59am so there was some delay before we were seated.But once we were seated the service was friendly and the food came out fast. The restaurant is open and clean. It has a nice flow. I had ordered the goat korma not knowing about the goat bones. So when I was unsure how to go about eating it they switched it to lamb. We also ordered garlic naan. My dish had a really nice flavor. I didn't expect my meal to be changed. I just wanted to know how to eat it as I hadn't eaten goat before. The lamb was good.This is definitely on my return list to dine again when in Durham.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a good Indian spot and this is it !!! I ordered takeout so I can't comment on service but the food is DELICIOUS!!! Best coconut curry I ever had !!! Will definitely be coming back !
