I decided to order dinner from this decent restaurant for the first time on 3/8/24. When I say it was finger licking good; there is no lie in that. I ordered through DoorDash and my driver was quick with delivery service. When I received my food everything was as described from the menu. Everything was also a first try except the Naan, which is one of my favorites when it comes to Indian cuisine. The Quail was exquisite especially paired with the Turmeric spices; that's one dish I will be ordering again. Lastly the "tasty" Pakoras. I didn't know a dish like this existed until ordering from Indian Char House. Another favorite of mine. If you are looking for a decent dine in, be sure to give Indian Char House a try!

I tried the Shrimp Biryani, which came with about 8 medium sized shrimp and a generous portion of rice. Unfortunately, the flavors were very underwhelming, almost like I was eating plain white rice with shrimp. It's surprising how bland the dish was, considering the variety of spices typically used in Indian cuisine.On a positive note, the server was kind and the place looked clean.Overall, I don't have much else to say about this place because I was so disappointed by the lack of flavor.

Great new addition to west Philly! Probably the best lamb chops I have had out side of home and I said the same thing in my reel on Instagram! We were extremely happy with our visit, it's a clean atmosphere with both outdoor and indoor seating, the food is fresh, flavorful and appetizing. We had a lovely chat with the owner and are looking forward to future visits. The desserts were amazing too! Lam chops 10/10 Chicken tandoor 9/10 Cheese Garlic Naan 10/10 Tandoori Paneer 7/10 Malai Kulfi 10/10 I definitely will be back to try the biryani and some more Lamb chops.

Good flavors but fairly modest portions. Vindaloo flavor was really great but it felt a bit padded out with potato which is fine, but harder to justify the price. Definitely a great addition to West Philly and everything was served hot and fast.

The lentil soup is deliciously complex. I really hesitated to order this one, but am very glad I did. My only feedback is, I would like little bit larger serving. The plastic container seemed more dessert-sized, like a rice pudding container. I think soup is better suited for a lined cardboard soup container.

THE BEST! This is honestly the best Indian food I have ever had and I am so happy I found my new spot. I'm extremely picky with Indian food because it's my favorite, but this place is better than overseas. Everything we ordered was 10/10. I highly recommend it!

Ordered takeout from Indian Char House & then catered an event with them. Shah was great to work with for catering -- service/communication was quick and clear. I believe pricing was on par with the quality/quantity of food that was ordered. IMO, the catered food was much more delicious than the takeout we had. Excellent, delicious, amazing on the menu: chicken cubes, gobi manchurian, mixed veg curry. All of our guests complimented the flavor, and we agree!
