The spirt of Giuseppe's Old City's La Locanda Del Ghiottone lives on with the help and love of family. You'll see some favorites from the old at the new including the amazing mushroom crepes. Coincidentally, Il Ghiottone is a single story building as well. A wonderful nod to the old single story restaurant in Old City. Great service as the staff treats you as if you're family. Don't forget your wine at this BYOB as well as cash. The good news is the prices are very reasonable and the food is amazing!

This is a cute, neighborhood, BYOB establishment in Olde Richmond. We can walk from our home, which is nice. The menu is very straightforward, old-school Italian and the servers are friendly and welcoming. They typically have quite a few specials each night, which aren't on the menu. You don't need to get dolled up to go and that, in itself, is a nice change. The food is what you'd expect, nothing exciting but very good. Sadly, some of the dishes we've had have been too bland hence not giving them 4-5 stars. I don't mean this negatively, but their food is what it is, and that's nothing to complain about. If you want a low-key, good Italian meal, this is your spot!

We are so glad we stumbled across this gem in Olde Richmond. There is nothing better than the corner sit down Italian restaurant, and in this neighborhood, it is the ONLY ONE. When you walk up to the restaurant, you are greeted with their pretty hanging flowers from their overhang, and outdoor seating options. We ate outside, but got a glimpse of the cozy indoor seating space. It is welcoming and has its own unique spin on the quaint and tacky italian restaurant scene. Our service was great - quick & easy! Loved our waitress. It is a small menu, but they will provide specials that you don't see online. We loved starting with their warm bread and something we never had before...a vegetable puree to dip it in. Let me tell you...it worked! haha. My only critique here is that I would like this a lot more in the winter time, so a lighter sauce (or even olive oil) for the bread would be better suited for the summer months. I thought the portions of the food were great. And as honest as I can be, I felt the food was "ok" - hence the 3 stars, but I am not saying this negatively. We enjoyed our meals, but weren't taken back by them. If someone lived in the neighborhood, I would recommend it, but anywhere outside of the city, I probably wouldn't. I have all intentions of going back myself, because I do want to try more. One thing that I LOVED, was their chicken parm special. They serve it with a side of spaghetti and the chicken is pounded super thin, which is what I think makes a chicken parm great. The sauce wasn't all that, but overall, it was good. They had a creative appetizer offering, which were these mushroom crepes. First time having anything like it, but again, I thought it was good. They are a BYOB too, which is nice and a cost savings. I am excited to head back and try more on their menu.

Solid Italian food tucked in an unsuspecting place. Was not very busy when I stopped by but made for a nice comfort meal.

The Button (Il Ghiottone) is a genuine family restaurant. The people who run it are absolutely loving. The food is first class. The best of everything. The flavors are exactly as they should be, vibrant and sumptuous. And the portions are the same as Nonna served up. It's a great place for a date or a family outing.

5 stars all around! Food, service, atmosphere: all amazing!I'm always shocked this place isn't busier. It's relatively new and they opened during Covid so I feel like not enough people know about it yet but it's so cute and the food is delicious. It's my new go to when I'm craving Italian. The food is very authentic Italian. The freshest pasta and seafood. I always can't wait to hear the specials. Always flavorful and creative. Some of my favorites include: lobster and crab ravioli, orecchiette with sausage and kale, and the mussels. They also make an amazing zucchini vegetable dip with fresh bread for the table. Desserts are amazing too. The tiramisu is light and sweet and can never be passed up. Also it's BYOB and the prices are incredibly reasonable for what you get. They never disappoint!

I ate here last week and the food was amazing. Just as amazing was the atmosphere and the service. This is a family run business and it shows. They really care about the food and the specials are so unique and delicious. It's BYOB so if you choose to imbibe be sure to bring it with you.

Absolutely unbelievable experience. I call and confirm a reservation for dinner, literally spoke to someone and even asked about BYOB, and drive nearly 35 minutes only for them to say they are closed even though it clearly showed on the door that they closed more than an hour later. Don't think I'll ever bother to come back and won't be recommending to people.
