We are from Austin originally, and we randomly stumbled upon this place while walking around from our hotel. What a find! This place is amazing! We currently reside in Las Vegas, and we have not found one restaurant in the entire city that even comes close to this!Everyone was super friendly. The host staff was great, Blight was outstanding and everyone who came by the table was great. The food was amazing. We went crazy and ordered the Meatballs, Barrata Salad, Cacio Pepe, Al Limon AND the NY strip.Literally everything was delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked, prepared and presented. The combinations of and development of flavors on all of these dishes were creative and exciting.I feel the price point is an absolute steal for what you get. There's no reason not to come here. I very very highly highly recommend.

I came here for the first time tonight and ordered the Spicy Gemilli Pasta for dine-in and got a takeout of Gemilli Bolognese afterwards to share with my cousin for a late night snack later. My entree was very aromatic and very delicious. The pasta was not too thick, very fresh and mixed perfectly with the vodka sauce. The flavor of the sauce was a little tart, zesty but not spicy like its name and nicely savory holding enough creaminess. It wasn't soupy, but more like a dry gravy with an ideal amount of saltiness. I got the takeout meal with the same pasta base, bc imo, it is such a good one to have with richer, denser sauces. I love capellini/angel hair, orchette and gemilli now for that category too. The bolognese had a bold, deep and hearty profile with a generous amount of savory, seasoned ground meat, herbs and butter. The pasta was obviously very soft and fresh like the dish I had eaten already. The gravy was very tasty. The service was great. I plan to try their Prime NY Strip meal with a dessert after it on my next visit. Awesome Italian food gem.

Got takeout steak tartare, gemelli, focaccia bread and it was so so good. Definitely recommend for a cozy comfort meal on a night in. They prepared it all fast and the hosts were so polite when I showed up.

I've been craving Italian for a month and this spot missed the mark.Smash:Tortellini - this was an off menu special and honestly deserves to stay. It was the only thing we loved.Steak tartare - we got two of these.. enough said.Espresso martini - absolute yes.Pass:Al limone - when lemon pasta is done right... it slaps. This was oily/buttery and the noodles were clumped together.Chicken sandwich - it looked incredible but was meh.Bolognese - it was one aggressively long noodle with meat that was ok.Cacio e Pepe - not sure what went wrong here but it was just.. odd?Service was great and I'm obsessed with the interior design, but that sadly isn't enough to make me want to go back.

We were craving some great Italian food on a Sunday night, and decided to try Il Braco out. I was surprised how underwhelmed we were compared to their rating on Yelp. It seemed like they had a nice patio for days where the weather is nicer - it was cold when we went so we were seated inside. The ambience felt aged - dark wood paneling, dim lights - made it feel like an older place. Service was okay - felt like the waitstaff was hovering over us at times, which felt uncomfortable. We tried the focaccia bread - the bread is very oily. Overall, was just okay. Pastas similarly were okay - we got the cacio e pepe and Al limone. Honestly, reminded us of an Olive Garden experience. Decided not to get dessert and instead walked across the street to Whole Foods to pick something up there.

I've been to their locations in both Dallas and Houston and they are consistently great! We ordered the exact same thing at both restaurants and were impressed both times. The Dallas location felt a bit lighter with gorgeous outdoor seating and a decent amount of seating inside as well. The Houston location definitely felt more like a date night spot with moody lighting and plenty of indoor seating. The best and most consistent part of both locations was the food and the service. The food is delicious and I would highly recommend the focaccia. We ordered paper planes for drinks and after about 10 minutes, they would come back with new chilled glasses so that we could continue to enjoy cold drinks. They pay close attention making sure that your drink is full and that plates are cleared when you are done.

My husband and I decided to go for dinner at Il-Bracco after he enjoyed a lunch with company earlier in the year. As soon as we entered, after making a reservation of course, we were consumed by boisterous voices and laughter. It was nice that so many people were having a fantastic time with their loved ones, but we were on a date! Unfortunately, as the night went on, the space got louder and it was hard for us to hear each other. The focaccia, the tartare, the artichoke, and Marsala truffle pasta were good, just not great. The food was overfall decent, but this is Houston, and we're known for food. You know how when you're on an airplane, food doesn't taste quite right? Well, I read that has to do with sound, and I felt that this time around at Il Bracco. Maybe it was too loud and that affected the flavor? I really want to enjoy all our courses, but they either tasted too salty, too greasy, or jus average. I hope this was a fluke, because I'd like to give this place another try. SO many good reviews can't be off, right? I'll update Yelp when/if I return

Finally got a chance to try iL Bracco in Uptown. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about this place and I do understand why. Upon walking in the inside is nice, but it kind of reminds me of a fancy diner. If you've even been to the old Houston's restaurant, it's a good comparison. The hostess staff and management were ok, not super friendly and not rude, but our waitress was super sweet. We tried the artichoke w/garlic aioli, little gem Caesar, bolognese, salmon and chicken piccata. The menu is quite simple, with salad options, sandwiches, pastas and various entrees. The sides could be a bit better imo as there aren't many hearty options. Getting into the food, the Caesar was good, nothing earth shattering, but lacked a bit of dressing. The chicken piccata was very fresh and flavorful, it just lacked some sort of potato for the side to really enjoy all of the sauce. The salmon was ok, not bad and the bolognese was tasty and a good portion size. Overall, it was good, but not 100% sure that I would return. But I do encourage anyone to try it out. I do want to point out something that our table found rude from the manager...after we paid we were talking at the table and she came over and very rudely picked up the remaining napkins on the table as if she was rushing us out. So just some feedback that it could have been approached in a friendlier manner.

Awesomely Great Food & drink. That's why Il Bracco is getting 5 stars from this reviewer. Along with great friendly service from our server Jerica. I will comment on the one negative that I wrestled with in giving 5 stars and then finish with thoughts on the food and drink that were the star of the meal. We visited Il Bracco early on a Sunday evening. I've often commented on the perils of dining as a twosome and having to deal with 2-top options in restaurants. Sometimes it works out, sometimes its a failure. Bottom line is that we show up at 5:20 to a mostly empty large restaurant space as a couple, and are marched to the back corner of the restaurant to a small two top booth next to the only 7 other people in the place at one table. I admit, I'm not a small human, but I barely fit into my seat at the two top booth. I was the biggest person that could fit in the seat, and I'm not the biggest person, just a big guy. And the 7 top was obnoxiously loud (probably in town for the college championship game). So my question is why sit two people in a mostly empty restaurant next to 7 loud people in a tiny booth. OK - rant over. Where we were sitting was not the fault of the server or the cooks and bartenders, and the main reason we eat out is to experience good food. And we certainly did at Il Bracco.I liked how Jerica took our appetizer orders and drinks at the same time and we didn't have to give the full order all at once. That seems to help with pacing of a meal in my opinion. We ordered two cocktails and the Italian Martini was so good my wife ordered a second one later in the meal instead of wine. For the appetizers we had the Sicilian Crudo and the best foccacia bread service you could ask for. Both excellent. We then shared the Caesar salad that had a very punchy dressing as well as crisp large romaine leaves that added a perfect texture to the salad. For a mid course we shared two pastas - the Cacio e pepe and the spicy gemelli. Both excellent with the Cacio e pepe having the perfect balance of cheese to pepper and the gemelli having the right amount spice for you to know its there but to not blow out the palate. It seems like the pasta was made in house, but I'm not sure. For our entree we shared the sea bass and got a side of white beans as a complement. The fish was excellent and might have been even better without the clunky gremolata on top. The white bean side dish was really good with some italian sausage mixed in. At this point we were thoroughly stuffed, but we can't pass up an Italian Budino. This chocolate version was very good while our preference are budinos that have some sort of caramel component. It did the trick however, light ending to a great combination of food and drink. I pried myself out of the booth and we headed home happy with our choice to visit Il Bracco. Super excellent food, great service (thanks Jerica) outstanding cocktails, and a beautiful restaurant. Would have given 6 stars if I could if they would have set us at a reasonably comfortable table. Come on Houston restaurants - treat your two tops better, at least when the restaurant is not full.

2 visits in 3 nights should say it all. Found out on the 2nd visit that this location used to be a CPK! What a phenomenal transformation. It's a comfortable, upscale eatery. The food is extremely well made, from what I gathered everything is made 'in house' or at least across the parking lot at their other restaurant Balboa. My dining partner said it was one of the best burgers she had, even my untrained vegetarian eye could see how juicy it was. I had pasta on both visits and each was flavourful, gemelli possibly a couple mins underdone but each satiating. We tried the cheesecake, tiramisu and chocolate budino, all perfect dinner endings.Enjoyed the wine we were recommended on both occasions, I also had a martini to start which was uniquely bright and floral. Service was excellent and attentive. As I often dine solo, this is a comfortable place to perch at the bar. Conversation was easy flowing and it was apparent that they take our cue to know how much to engage. Will certainly be back.
