I was staying at a hotel around the corner and wanted some sushi. After a quick search on yelp I found this place, it was close and had good ratings so I placed a pickup order. The restaurant was quite fast and I got my order super quickly. The employees were nice and friendly. Sadly, the sushi wasn't good, especially the tuna and salmon rolls... in my experience most grocery store sushi has it beat. The specialty roll that I got was at least a bit enjoyable. I also got the ginger sauce to try and it added a fun flavor. Not gonna lie the fish was pretty suspicious and did NOT sit well in my stomach. I have been ill for the past two days, may or may not have gotten food poisoning.

TLDR: Good for groups. Good food. Meh drinks. This place is definitely not icky. I went with a pretty large group (18) last week and we all had a good time. The service was a little bit slow, which was odd since we were the only people in the restaurant. We all loved the food, though.I got the sushi pizza and sushi boat to split with my friends. I've never had sushi pizza before and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it. The boat was also really good- lots of different rolls and nothing disappointed. My friend & I also got the lychee martinis- these weren't great. It mostly tasted like vodka with some lychees dipped in.

Came here after the museum of illusion. The food was delicious.everything was fresh and quickly prepared and served. It was a cute little space and I enjoyed the music choice playing. I'd def come back. I'm a big mojito drinker and the Asian pear mojito was nice strong and vibrant. 10/10. Service was quick and impeccable. I would suggest this if your in town visiting and enjoy sushi

I wish I knew how to pronounce Ikki. Is it like icky or eye-key or something else? The lunch I just had here was definitely not icky. It was wonderful.I was solo today for lunch and I knew my unadventurous coworker would never come here so I made the few block trek to a new sushi place that has been open about a month. The restaurant has a very modern vibe and industrial feel. Everything has its place with its mostly grey colors. There's even an upstairs which I knew existed but have to check out someday. Pretty cool and got me excited to want to eat some sashimi and sushi.I was the only one in the place but other customers slowly were making their way in; two to sit and eat, more coming for their takeout orders. They have a full bar menu with many cocktails and wines. I didn't try them out today. But I did try something a few of you Yelpers suggested; the Blue Crab Fajita. I'd have to agree with the one other Yelper that it was more like a quesadilla. It was cut into triangles and positioned to point to the sky in a pyramid. The blue crab and its flavor came out immediately and with the small amount of greens gave texture to the mostly crisped outer shell. The sauce it came with was very flavorful and not spicy. I would have liked more spice and a little less sauce on it.My main lunch of sashimi and sushi came with a bowl of very nice Miso soup, and had the wasabi and ginger you can find anywhere else. But the fish was super fresh and a pleasure to eat. I wish I had better control of my chopsticks. It was a tuna roll, six pieces of sashimi, and three pieces of fish with rice. They put one piece of sashimi on a box with a lighted cube inside so the effect was rather cool. I bet it's even better looking at night if they dim the lights.Overall, I loved Ikki Sushi. If I'm solo again for lunch and wanted sushi, this is now my go to place. This is also a good date night restaurant to show you have some class. Although not seen on the menu, I'd like to come in, drop some cash, and say to surprise me...an omakase! On the expensive side to get an appetizer and main but once in a while is ok. $32 including tax but not tip. No drink except tap water.

My family and I came here for lunch, just in time before they got busy! It's a very tiny restaurant with a bar. Basically 2 tables that can fit a decent amount of people. Pretty much clean and nice! So many selection of sushi and drinks! Our waitress was nice and accommodating. I would love to come back and try more things on their menu! BUT!!! There was an altercation about the DOOR. So basically there's 2 doors to enter in. First door doesn't shut by it self but second door does. We sat by the door which I didn't mind at all...When we walked in, the costumers prior to us TOLD US TO SHUT THE DOOR when my family and I didn't finish coming in...I was confused. Like do you work here?? I understand it's January and it's cold but can you wait??!! The one annoying costumer kept telling everyone who walked in TO SHUT THE DOOR. It was pretty much annoying...I felt like we didn't really enjoy our lunch. I mean if costumers want the door shut the staff should put a sign up! Overall food was delicious...

Love the rolls from here! The sauces really make a difference. Recently tried the fried ice cream--it's the best I've had in town thus far.

This new sushi spot opened up on market street in center city and decided to give this place a try! Walking in, the place was very nice and well designed with a bar...place had a good vibe to it for a sushi dinner. I ordered salmon sashimi, ikki special signature roll and sex on the beach roll and everything turned out amazing! It was so delicious and fresh. Server was very attentive and helpful and even the manager came to check up on us to see how everything was. I highly recommend this sushi spot if you're a sushi lover! 10/10! I will definitely be coming back!

I heard from a friend that a new sushi place opened up not far from where we typically hang out; since it was literally around the corner I decided to give it a try this evening. It had a nice, classic sushi bar vibe and looked clean and bright. A group sat near the entrance, and further inside a few folks were enjoying the sushi bar. I was seated at a small table at my request and the waitress offered drinks and appetizers. I decided to order a "Sushi Bar Special" which consisted of three types of maki (rolls), and an offer of unagi maki (eel and avocado rolls). After a surprisingly short wait, I got some of the best sushi I'd had in a very long time! All of the rolls were fresh tasting and very tasty - I almost want to say, "perfect." The presentation was wonderful as well, and the waitress was both friendly and attentive without being annoying. I can say with absolute certainty that I'll be back, alone and with friends. In fact, it looks like the perfect "date night," since they seem to have an extensive drink menu including several intriguingly named cocktails and what looks like a good sake (rice wine) collection. (I'm a fan of chilled, unfiltered sake in the warmer weather.)Nicely done, Ikki! Domoarigato Gozaimashita!

This new sushi spot just opened up so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out because I was around the area. We walked in and was immediately seated with no wait time. We tried the crispy calamari, lobster rainbow roll, and duck wrap. Everything was delicious! The duck was juicy and the outer wrapping was perfectly crisp. The lobster roll was amazing. It was fresh and didn't leave a weird aftertaste. Overall, the service and the food was great. The manager even checked up on us to see how we liked everything. I definitely recommend checking this spot out if you're interested in trying some amazing sushi! I will definitely be visiting again !

Wonderful Sushi- - - - - - - -October, 2023 VisitOur family visited Philadelphia for a family wedding. We had a good time. After seeing the 2nd National Bank, the Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall, it was time for lunch. Our daughter proposed sushi and we quickly found Ikki, which is located in a building that is narrow width but with much depth, and with an upstairs eating balcony. It's located a couple minute walk from Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Museum of American Jewish History. Our server was helpful in identifying which items were and were not gluten free, and she also provided GF soy sauce. We ordered and enjoyed seven rolls: 1. Boston - shrimp, lettuce, cucumber 2. Tuna Avocado 3. Futo maki 4. Alaska - salmon, avocado 5. Avocado mango 6. Mango Tango - Tuna, salmon, and avocado topped with mango, red tobiko, and mango sauce 7. Out of control - tuna, salmon asparagus with sauces 8. With Miso soup & saladThey all tasted great and filled us just right.Thank you, Ikki sushi!---------------
