It is incredibly disappointing that Ideal Market is switching to a regular Whole Foods and will no longer be making twigs or scratch bread. There is no other reason to shop at such an overpriced store. I's rather support local businesses and bakeries and will not be returning

Ideal market? What is Ideal about this? Is it the insane prices for basic food items? The fake image of a friendly neighborhood "Snow White" village is quickly unveiled. Mine happened when I was 63 cents short for a slice of pizza and coffee... Could I run to my house and grab the change for you? (my house is literally 2 minutes away) "I can't do that" She coldly said. I mean someone could lose their job over 63 cents. Unfortunately this doesn't fit in with the fake 1950's capitalist dream that they're dying to get across. This place is fake and has robots. It's trying sooo hard to be something it can't.

Happy to have this store in the neighborhood. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but the quality is solid and they have a great selection of prepared foods. And the salad bars - yup, these are some of my favorites. I'll often go here for lunch and choose items from the hot and cold bars. You can get a super-healthy meal with lots of variety for under $10. I choose things that I won't be bothered making but want in my diet, like quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, beets, kale. And if you're hungry for dinner, there's usually a hot chicken dish or two. The meat counter also has a great selection of prepared items including marinated chicken and beef on skewers (in the summer - perfect for the grill). The fish is sustainably caught! Also have to give a shout out to the challah!! Definitely the best around.

So, ok -- it's owned by Amazon which is why it was called Whole Foods before (because they're part of or partners of Amazon). I'm not sure why the rebrand to Ideal Market other than what I consider the obvious... changing brand names disassociates the average consumer from the knowledge of brands they're aware of from the news (e.g., WF) and 2, maybe they're trying to be more product localized with this new brand name? More local suppliers, I mean. It's really, really priced much higher than most grocery stores. I couldn't find a lunch meat from the deli under $12 a pound. That's kinda crazy. I ended up paying a whopping $10 for a few slices of roast beef cause I really wanted a sandwich! And it was stringy AF. As in I couldn't take any bites without the tough string tendon fighting me back on nearly every bite of my sandwich. For that price I expect perfection! So, I can't give it 5 stars for that and was battling between 3&4. Because of the massive price gouge and that you can't get a lot of things on your shopping list here, it's a 3 at best. They do have little inside & outside dining areas, too, that's cute!I like it for its location as it's the closest store to where I currently live. I don't get any prime discounts because (GASP!) I'm NOT an Amazon prime payer. You do know that shipping is free for any order over $25, right? So I choose not to pay Jeff an extra hundo or two like the rest of ya do! They have a great local CO seltzer that tastes just like a cider! See pics!

We were visiting Denver from Arizona as we normally do a few times a year and were staying nearby. This was the first time I not only enjoyed but looked forward to going to the grocery store! It was about a 2 block walk from our stay and I visited every day. The staff were all super helpful, kind and friendly. I love that it's a small market everything is easy to find. Great selection of foods and drinks. I was delighted to find they had samples on Saturday! My favorite thing I got from there was the blackberry hatch Chile bacon. Best bacon I've ever had! Wish we had markets like this where I live. I would live in this neighborhood just to make this my regular grocer.

My husband and I DREAD coming here but we live so close and they have certain things that king soops doesn't, so we begrudgingly have to make a visit on a regular basis. Yes they are way overpriced, the produce doesn't last very long either, also, the self checkout girls are consistently super rude and disrespectful. It's to the point where we try to avoid them because they always have an attitude and are so unpleasant. I don't understand how or when it was okay to be entitled and rude to customers at a grocery store, you literally work at a whole foods, maybe calm down and just let people exist without making them feel uncomfortable with your basic impolite judgmental attitude? It's almost comical how insufferable a lot of their employees are, and they go out of their way to make you know how insufferable they are, which is not what I'm looking for when I'm just trying to get some groceries. Such a bummer. I have never written a review for a grocery store before, but as a customer that has had countless bad experiences here all I can do is write a review, put on headphones when I have no choice but to go in and mainly go to a different store from now on. I have the ick from this place.

Ideal Market has quickly become one of my favorite grocery markets in Denver! Located in Cap Hill, it has its own dedicated parking lot that almost always has a spot or three. It's a smaller boutique Whole Foods store so it has the same stuff as a bigger WF, just more local choices! Their coffee bar when you walk inside is soooo good (love the draft oat milk latte), and they have a covered seating area out front too! There's also a bar inside with draft beer & maybe wine too. Of course it all comes with the notorious Whole Foods price tag, but it's such a great shopping experience compared to King Sooper's, so I come here often for a quite few things.Fresh food: Their hot bar is much smaller but they always have 4-6 yummy soups, and the salad bar is well stocked. They have a small selection of prepared foods to prep at home, and I like snagging some fresh Asian dim sum too- they also have sushi. They have a wonderful cheese/meat & accoutrements section to make divine charcuterie... and the folks at the meat counter will slice anything you need for it too! Try their prime rib roast for fresh sammies, it's amazing.Bakery: maybe the best part! They make an amazing sourdough loaf that we get freshly sliced- easily the bear sourdough I've had in Denver. Their other pastries are made fresh daily & so good - even the salted ballpark pretzel is great! Other goodies: they have a nice little home section with candles, soaps, makeup, & fun local jewelry. They also have seasonal things (local ornaments, holiday decor) that is often made locally- a great spot to grab a gift!Grocery/drinks: they have basically one or two brands of everything you really need, so it's great for a quick trip. Their products are mostly locally sourced, organic, and mostly healthy (to an extent), and they always have what I need (from regular shelf groceries to frozen stuff to dairy). All in all, Ideal Market is really a go-to grocery for me. The staff is always super helpful & kind, and the store is never too crowded or hectic like the big box grocery stores. And, they have ready-to-eat foods & drinks.... ultimately they have everything I quite possibly need!

I have frequented this location for many years and for many years I have walked to this location with my dog. Just the other day I was followed out of the store and told that it was being rebranded to a Whole Foods and there is now a no dog policy. I was first told it was a city ordinance which it is not - then when I questioned it I was told it was a whole food policy. WHOLE FOODS has always owned this location - ALWAYS. And now you are going to take a small neighborhood location rebrand it from Ideal Market to Whole Foods and not allow dogs to be safely tethered outside!!!!! Not cool Whole Foods. I shop with you often but I will no longer be shopping at this location or any of your others! BE BETTER WHOLE FOODS.

Loved, loved, loved this store. Freshest produce, nice meats and the in-store bakery was the best. The twigs were an addiction for me! Can I get an amen from the audience??Unfortunately, this Ideal is being turned into a regular Whole Foods so product changes and NO IN-STORE BAKERY. Not sure how well this is going over with the staff but we customers are heart broken. This was the best store in our neighborhood and many of us shopped here regardless of price because the quality and service was just better and worth it.But no more, I had my first negative service experience at Ideal after the announcement. Doesn't seem like a coincidence. Plus, without the bakery, the price and service just doesn't seem worth.Nice job, Bezos. Another screw up of something that wasn't broken.

I just learned that they are not going to be baking the twigs anymore at the Denver location. That is incredibly disappointing to learn because it is our favorite baked good and one of the only reasons we visit this market. I was also at the bakery counter with another customer who was also very disappointed in this. I hope you can figure out a way to keep this delicious bread. It is a huge loss. #twigsforever
