Huskers Cafe

Great breakfast and brunch diner. Nothing fancy but the food is delicious!!! This place fills up fast. The service is regular (nothing special). The ambiance is that of a busy, friendly and chatty eatery. Great informal place for great food ... a little pricey but good!Recommendation? Absolutely yes!

I've visited Husker's Cafe many times for brunch! Their brunch food is so good! They serve southern comfort kind of food. In the past, I've ordered the steak bowl, shrimp and grits, and biscuit beignets.The service is quick and the waitstaff is always friendly. You feel at home at Husker's each time.

Yesterday, 4/25/24, I called in an order, but we had a little issue with the options for the number of pancakes and bacon slices since they had changed their policy on a few things. However, when I arrived they were so accommodating and helped me find a solution. The chef, Mr. Troy, hooked me up. My food was piping hot, and he cooked my eggs and pancakes to perfection. I requested hard fried egg (i hate when it's still runny) and dark pancakes. He did not disappoint. Everyone was so kind and pleasant. Thank you Huskers family for making me feel like family!

. We were looking for a black-owned restaurant for breakfast and Huskers kept coming up. I ordered the southwest omelette with toast and side of cheese grits. Everything came out piping hot and fresh. My guy ordered a ham and cheese omelette with a biscuit and cheese grits. His ham was way overcooked, almost burnt, so he asked for it to be recooked. They did, and he raved about the taste after he received the recooked version. Yummy food...good service...expensive prices for breakfast though. Welcome to Atlanta!

The food was excellent. Something about southern cheese grits that just makes everything better. Loved the atmosphere with the cook yelling out the orders in the back. The staff was attentive and took care of the family making it a great experience. Great place to stop at after a nice hike at Stone Mountain.

I had a lovely breakfast experience at Huskers one morning when my cousin, who was visiting from out of town, joined me. We were craving breakfast, and Huskers turned out to be the perfect choice. Their menu struck the right balance with a good variety of options without overwhelming us.I decided to go for the salmon with creamy grits, cheese eggs, raisin toast, and a side of spinach and tomatoes. I must say, it was a delightful meal. The salmon was cooked just the way I like it, and the grits were wonderfully creamy and flavorful. The cheese eggs were cheesy without being overly runny, and even though I'm not usually a fan of raisin toast, I found it surprisingly enjoyable. The combination of spinach and tomatoes added a burst of flavor to the meal.After finishing my plate, I couldn't help but wish for seconds. I told myself that I would definitely return to Huskers because I genuinely enjoyed the meal. My cousin and her family also had a great time, and we all appreciated the variety and quality of the menu items. The service was top-notch as well, enhancing the overall experience.Huskers left a positive impression on us, and I'm looking forward to my next visit to enjoy their delicious offerings once again.

Fish and grits were delicious, small restaurant but they keep it flowing, great service.

Naturally, (being from Nebraska) we opted for this breakfast spot based solely on the name! We were created by friendly smiling faces for 2 of our 3 mornings in Stone Mountain because we enjoyed Huskers Cafe THAT much. Good coffee, good food, good people- what more could you ask for? The restaurant is located in a strip mall and is a pretty nice and inviting place inside! They serve breakfast and lunch (not sure about dinner). I had their chicken and waffle for my first time there and had the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit the 2nd trip there. The chicken and waffle were great! The chicken was breaded, seasoned, and cooked to perfection and with the waffle and syrup was a perfect pairing! Their syrup comes out in preheated bottles which is a nice touch. Their syrup isn't as sweet as I am accustomed to so keep that in mind. The sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was amazing. Biscuit is moist and buttery but held its own on the sandwich.

You just can't beat the food quality or the service for the price! It's what keeps us coming back time after time.

Fantastic food and service. Very clean and attention to cleanness was obvious. Definitely will visit again. Very friendly invite when entering business. Thank you for a great experience.
