Most legit Chinese food in the loop. All the dishes are delicious and flavorful. The Mapo tofu has good flavor, soft tofu and bits of pork. The stir fried bok choy has a buttery garlic sauce and is delicious. The Mongolian beef is tender and flavorful, but has a high ratio of onions.Lunch and weekends they have a few popular dim sum like har gau, siu mai, pork buns and sesame balls.Service is efficient and on point. The food comes out quickly. Casual dining atmosphere is great for a gathering of friends or family.A few parking spots in the front. A small lot in the back the fills up quickly during peak times.

This place was packed for lunch. Their menu was quite extensive, including a lunch specials menu, dim sum menu, and regular menu. Sometimes, this can be a red flag for Asian restaurants perhaps trying to do too much. But, it really feels like they own and master every menu item, and some might be catered for the more Americanized tastes, and some for the authentic crowd. The customers were really quite diverse in there.Snow Pea Leaves - perfectly cooked, just enough crisp in the stems without it being hard, and leaves still retaining the green color. The first half was great, but towards the end, it was slightly too salty, but still tasty when eaten with rice. They could tone back on the salt a little overall.Salt and Pepper Shrimp - Excellent dish, the shrimp were larger sized than any I've ever seen in this type of dish. Onions and peppers were cooked well. I devoured this dish completely.Shrimp Shumai - I had a shrimp shumai and thought it was good as expected. It came with a large portion of soy sauce and chili oil. My mom bought some chili oil to-go because she liked it so much.Great Chinese restaurant! Food came out quickly, and the service was great. The parking lot in the back gets filled quickly, so you might have to find street parking in the nearby neighborhood, but it's well worth it.

Who is Hu, because his cooking is super cool! Hu's Cooking offers a wide variety of Chinese cuisine in a warm and homey-feeling environment. The restaurant is extremely clean and comfortable to enjoy dinner in. Along with the comfortable ambiance of the restaurant, the service is nothing short of exceptional. The waiters were constantly checking on us, refilling our waters, and provided immediate action when something was requested. The food here tastes authentic, very well seasoned, and packed with flavor. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you're craving some Chinese food and are looking for an amazing dining experience.FOOD REVIEW:- Stir Fried String Beans (5/5): the string beans were fresh, crunchy, and seasoned very well. Would recommend as a vegetable dish.- Sweet-Skinned Duck (2/5): I am not too fond of duck myself and the flavor of the duck here was too pungent for me. However, the sauce to dip the duck in was very flavorful. If you are a duck person, this dish would probably be more enjoyable.- Eggplant (5/5): came out hot and fresh. The sweet flavor of this dish helps balance out the rest of the other dishes.- Dan Dan Noodles (5/5): the BEST Dan Dan noodles I've ever had. The flavors were on point and noodles were not overcooked.- Spicy Fried Chicken (5/5): chicken was super crispy and tasted amazing. Be warned it might be too spicy for some.

Excellent and efficient lunch here! We shared the Orange beef lunch special and Kung pao chicken lunch special, hot & sour soup, egg rolls and fried rice included.we also had the BBQ Buns. It was all delicious and perfectly cooked. Can't wait to come back. There are a few parking spots in front for lucky patrons.

Hands down probably, my favorite Chinese restaurant in the loop or near the medical center. There is limited parking in the front but there's additional parking in the back but they are a bit tighter. It's always bustling inside but there are plenty of seating options. The service is always quick and efficient and it doesn't take that long for the food to arrive. Everything I've ordered so far was exceptional but if I had to highlight one thing I would be the fried spicy chicken. As someone who has a low spice tolerance, I am willing to suffer for this dish only. It is so flavorful and crispy with each bite I am addicted. I am a regular here as I can't get enough and each time I come I will try something new since there's so much to choose from on the menu.

If you are missing the flavors of Taiwan or wanting to try it, this is the closest in Houston. It is Chinese food but with Taiwan flare. For example, the hot and sour soup has a unique flavor I've only tasted in Taiwan. The service is always quick and attentive. The restaurant is always bustling which feels happy. Which then makes me eat more than I can fit in my stomach, but I'm not complaining. Everything we've ever ordered is good. My go to dish is the poached fish filet in hot chili. It's a one dish meal with fish and vegetables.

Went there to eat in this restaurant yesterday on the weekend. Because we eat take out dishes from this restaurant before and was happy with the few favorite dishes we always order. But this time when we eat in the restaurant, we found some dishes has been downgraded either to reduce cost by replacing some original ingredients with cheap ingredients from the original formula such as the Spicy Chicken(辣子鸡)... they cut off all the dried red pepper and replace with sliced onions, reduce the amount of chicken by 50% and also use fried smaller size chicken with more thicker flour. Also this spicy chicken dish size is reduced to 75%. Another dish we ordered is Giant Meatball with Cabbage(狮子头), there are only 3 meatballs ( 1bigger 2 small) with only napa Cabbage.. presentation is terrible and taste is minimal. This is why I gave these 2 dishes are 2.5 Stars. But I still recommend this restaurant but you need to know exact what to order, otherwise you may have some catch or misses dish. It seems this restaurant starting cut corners on the dish authenticity to reduce cost. Be aware what dish you order.

A GREAT spot when you're craving Chinese food. While I stay about 20 minutes from this location when I'm in Houston, it's worth the round trip drive to eat at home We got the Mongolian beef and the chicken with broccoli. Much to my surprise, the chicken with broccoli was our fav of the night!Service was right on time and they were very helpful with locating my order!
