Another Lunch Buddy Adventure! My LB and I like to eat Asian for lunch sometimes. You can avoid the fried potatoes, buns, get in some good vegetables, etc. O.M.G. This was one of the best lunches we've had. O.K., the place could use a remodel. Maybe pull up the carpet and recover the booths. But other than that the food was undeniably good. The wait staff was wonderful in making recommendations and just take a look at our food. It tasted better than it looked. We will be back. If you want some good Chinese food you can definitely get it here. NOTE: They will seat you and wait on you, but you pay at the register at the front. Just FYI.

Looking at my last check-in here it's been a long time since I've been to this place. sad to say they haven't updated the interior since I've been here last. Also sad to say food has gone downhill as well. Got the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and dumplings. The sauce for the chicken was overly sweet with a sort of strange aftertaste with the rice being overly dry. The dumplings were okay. And these two items came out to $33 which is high for Chinese food, especially in the area. I'm still on the hunt for Chinese food as good as New York does it.

It's easy to see why this place is something of a neighborhood fixture. The food is reliably good. Look a 3-star review isn't bad. It's good. And Hunan Inn is good. My wife and I stopped off to check it out for the first time. Service was quick. The ambiance was quiet and dark. And the food was good. Hunan Inn was a bit more expensive than we thought it might be for the food that we got. I hear the lunch specials are a bit more affordable, and I may go back and visit for lunch. Be sure to ask them about the poem on the wall. It is called "Bring in the Wine."

Decent consistent southern Chinese food. Kid and wife love the steamed dumplings I enjoy the hot and sour soup. Mom likes chicken with string beans. If you are from NYC lower your expectations and you'll be fine

Great food and prices!! Love coming here for the lunch special, you get so much food for the price. The owner is super kind and always comes over to the table to make sure that everything is good. I got the chicken lo mein lunch special, which came with fried rice, a spring roll, and hot and sour soup. My husband got the Szechuan beef lunch special. Both of our meals were delicious. Look forward to comjng back!

Food: Got the Hunan Beef. OK tasting but not a lot of portion size for price. In addition, taste was your usual Chinese takeout fare. Could find better value at Panda ExpressService: Nice enough. Only ordered takeout. Food came out quite quicklyParking: There is a parking lot at the location. However, the parking lines are very worn and hard to see.Ambiance: Has your usual Chinese restaurant ambiane with a golden, lucky cat giving you a high-five at the entrance. A lot of seating available

One of my favorite spots. Staff is amazing, they always know what I want, the shrimp egg foo young and their shrimp fried rice is the best I ever had. The restaurant is clean and quiet, family atmosphere and we just love it.

Can cokes. Stale chips for soup. Small portions. Lunch menu is expensive. Not worth it. Too expensive for the return. $17.50 for sweet and sour shrimp, can of Coke. Plus tip, $20.50 for lunch.

We love Hunan Inn! Been a neighborhood "go to" for over 20 years. Classic Chinese menu, nothing unusual but all well prepared. Clean dining room and pleasant people. Plenty to love!
