Cool atmosphere and lots of diversity. It can get quite hectic at night as everyone seems to love to come here after dinner as a place to chill.I love mangoes but I thought the desserts were underwhelming. D3 lacked pomelo; too much coconut milk. A4 was just okay. Nothing special. Perhaps of the chewy balls had some mango flavors. Sweet mangoes so that's a plus. Mango pancake was quite disappointing. It's Hong Kong style but I mainly just taste whip cream. The mango piece inside of it was quite tiny and only 1-2 pieces. Exterior had no mango flavor whatsoever. It could be the batch I got. Overall, it was just okay. I do like how they display their desserts at the front and I do love that there's actually diversity, even late at night. Prices are a tad on the pricier side for not being satisfied with what seems so simple.

I've been eager to visit Hui Lau Shan for their mango desserts and drinks. The fast-casual mango dessert shop appears to be everywhere, and I finally stumbled into their Houston location. The majority of menu items are tempting, and the service time is impressive given the consistently large crowds.I ordered their popular and incredibly tasty pomelo and mango drink, with pureed mango, fresh mango, coconut milk, pomelo fruit, and tapioca-like sago pearls. Extremely good. I look forward to returning for their other items, including their mango mochi, mango pancake and mango chewy ball, with a scoop of mango ice cream.

Super busy and packed late on Sunday. Completely bypassed the display case in the front of which items were which. The menu is pretty overwhelming but they have a one with pictures on the counter next to the cashier. The mango chewy balls was refreshing. It's cold with ripe sweet mangos. The chewy balls added texture but didn't have any flavor to them. The line is long but it moved quickly. The dessert held up on the ride home or snag a seat and enjoy.

Hui lau Shan is one of my favorite spots for dessert!!! Every time I go, I have to get these two items: pomelo & mango with sago + taro black glutinous rice (cold). Never just one or the other, have to have both lol & that's because they balance each other out so well! The taro black glutinous rice has mochi balls that are super chewy and pieces of taro throughout, which are smooth, soft, and sometimes served warm!! The pomelo & mango with sago is so refreshing, and the mango pieces are always sweet. The mango ice cream really is the cherry on top. I usually alternate between the two desserts, and it smacks so hard. This place can get SO BUSY on the weekends, like I mean line backed up all the way to the door. And don't even get me started about parking... the plaza is always popping, so be prepared to park far or circle around for an eternity trying to cop a spot. I had to wait quite a while for my order to come out, and I was just patiently waiting by the trash can because there was like no room to stand or sit. The desserts made up for it in the end, and all was well. The employees are always kind and hard working!

I didn't know they had this here! I came from out of town. My friends went and got a massage so I explored the little plaza and realized this is here! I got my favorite pomelo and mango with sago drink for $8.49. The sweetness of the drink was just perfect. It's like a dessert in a cup. When I walked inside, it was pack with people on almost of the tables. I think there were 4 tables on each side. Pretty pack on a Monday night. But it didn't stop me from going inside. Plus there was no one in line.If you love mango and pomelo, you must come here! 1000% recommend!

If you are a mango lover, this spot is definitely for you. We ordered the popular jumbo mango chewy ball and it was sooo gooood. Their mango purée and ice cream are phenomenal. The chewy balls add a lot of texture along with the mango chunks. They have a cute to go bag if you can't find a seat inside. It can get pretty busy and loud inside during the weekends so we opted to do take out and sit outside. Service is pretty fast so you won't be waiting long. This is one of the better chains that sells mango desserts.

My friend said this is THE place for mango dessert and she is right!!I got the mango sago and it's just how I remembered it from when I tried it in Hong Kong. Sweet, refreshing and the perfect balance of creamy and soft with a hint of tartness. Can't wait to come back and try the coconut jelly!

Finally made it to try these new mango desserts! It was incredibly busy on a Sunday afternoon- line all the way down the store and every seat full. The menu is quite extensive, I was a little overwhelmed by all the choices! I went with the coconut jelly with mango. The jelly was very coconut forward and not too sweet, which I really appreciated. There were little clear boba balls and rice balls on top, along with mango pieces. I wish there had been more mango! It was a little pricey, but a sizeable dessert and this container is definitely reusable so I took it home. There are a lot of drink options and other fun desserts, so I'll have to come back and try some other things!

If you're a fan of mangoes, you're gonna love this place. I ordered the Mango Chewy Ball. The puréed mangoes in it are so flavorful and sweet, while the mochi balls were super chewy and fresh. Definitely buy a box of Mango Mochi while you're here. These might be even better than the actual mango desserts. These are also super chewy and have a chunk of mango right in the middle and are covered in coconut shavings. YUM. I will say that I found the Mango Yogurt drink to be underwhelming; the mango flavor wasn't as vibrant as the flavor of the Mango Chewy Ball.Atmosphere-wise, there are a lot of seats but because this place is so popular, you may have some trouble finding one.

I came here a couple times and they've been great all the times I've been. I went during mango season and also not in mango season and I can definitely tell the difference, though it is still great off season. My favorite is the mango chewy ball, I also tries the mango trio as well which is good and the mango mochi. I think the drinks are pretty good but overpriced. Lastly, I thought the mango pancake was not worth the hype. The service was fast and it was really crowded the first time I went when it just opened but now I am able to find seats pretty easily (it still has a lot of people though). The inside is pretty clean, sometimes the tables are sticky because you clean them yourself.
