This is a convince store with a deli in the back. There is metered street parking out front of the deli and there is also commercial lots within a reasonable walking distance. The convenience store has everything from soft drinks to canned food to soft drinks to energy drinks to milk to a wall full of booze behind the register. There is a small little deli in the back that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open late. There is a little table, with a few chairs next to the register and you will also find a small patio out front with a couple of tables as well. The deli has a menu packed with burgers, cold cuts, steak sandwiches, hotdogs, and salads. For breakfast they have burritos, bagel and PB&Js. I ordered the Spicy Devil Steak sandwich. It was made fresh and took them about 15 minutes to prepare. It was very tasty, flavorful and delicious. I really liked it. I sat on the patio and ate....while I people watched. You can call your order ahead to the deli to save some time if you so choose. All items made at the deli are paid for at the register up front so I paid for my sandwich, along with a soft drink and some drinks from the convenience store at the same time. This place has some great food, at the deli food is delish. The canned food looked a bit old and weathered, but that is a different story and I was not there for that. This place is definitely worth checking out for your drinks, snacks or to get a bite to eat.

extensive beer selection with a deli at the end of the store. the sandwiches can take a long time here to make if you have orders ahead, so plan accordingly. the parking in the area is horrible but it's a great place to stock up before the game. for a deli, not many chip options though .. if you live in the immediate area like me, check out the ipa selection!

The best sandwiches are always in the back of a random deli. This was no different. I came in for a sandwich and the guy behind the counter was really hyping it up so I was skeptical. I took his recommendation and ordered the Gio Supreme Sandwich. It was a gooey mess but delicious. The bacon with avocado and the honey made it creamy salty and sweet balance. The guy behind the counter added jalapenos and that acidity was necessary to round out the sandwich. TBH without the jalapenos I probably would not have enjoyed it as much. I will be back to check out more of their sandwiches in the future!

Stopped here to get some snacks and sandwiches. They carry lots of beverages and snacks. In the back, they have a deli sandwich area. There was no one there but a person noticed me and came to make my sandwich. They have lots of sandwich options, including hot sandwiches. When I went to pay the two employees in front were loudly discussing a disagreement they had. Was a bit scary. But I think it's a family business so probably just conducting normal operations as usual.

Was craving a true deli sandwich and this didn't disappoint. Went for The Gaslamp (minus tomato) and it's massive, delicious and hit the spot. Slightly drippy/messy so grab extra napkins. I think I accidentally got extra meat as the ~$13 sandwich ended up being ~$15.50 after taxes and a 'surcharge' which I guess was for using a credit card? Not very busy on a Thursday before noon, one woman making the sandwiches. She was helpful, pleasant and put a smile on my face. The market sells some groceries, snacks, alcohol...

$36 for a SANDWICH - SOAKED IN NASTY MAYO MUSH.The kicker - MOLDY TOMATOES & ONIONS. Food poisoning before a flight isn't fun.The kicker: I called the number in good faith to let them know that the food was moldy and not to serve any more people. Whoever answered was RUDE, nasty, and atrocious. Then I got a text from DJ Trump, who gave me a middle finger. I'll post more from my mobile. Now I am double sick and calling my CC company.

This is the place I'll miss the most in San Diego. My heart and love goes out to Nina (one of the owners). She not only made my breakfast croissant sandwich incredible, but she made my trip to San Diego a little more special with her kind words and conversation.Hub Market & Deli is AMAZING! If I could give it 100/5 stars I would. This unassuming family owned shop is one of the most genuine spots you'll find in the Gaslamp Quarter. It was like a bodega in California. My partner and I were trying to find a fun spot to grab a breakfast sandwich. He found this spot on Yelp. If you're like us and looking for that, EAT HERE NOW. I got a breakfast croissant with sausage and added the hash browns. The sandwich was made fresh in house. Nina scrambled and made fresh eggs for this sandwich (which you can't confidently claim for all breakfast sandwiches). These sandwiches were HUUUGE! I could hardly finish it, but somehow managed to stuff in as many bites as I could because it was that good. We loved our breakfast croissants so much we came back again before our flight to share one. Yes, they're big enough to share for two people, in fact, I'd recommend sharing it. It's fitting they're in the party district because these sandwiches are the perfect post night out meals.I love this spot and will be visiting it again on future San Diego trips. The owners came to California on their honeymoon, they loved San Diego so much, they decided to move here and reopen their shop. This place is authentic and fun. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Wow this place is flying under the radar. I got the #2 and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever inhaled. The staff were all very friendly and the place was clean inside. I will 100% be going back any time I am in nasty downtown San Diego.
