The birthday cake and Dr pepper are both great! The dr pep was just the slightest bit icy but the flavor was still awesome. I'll definitely be coming back to try more flavors! I can't wait!

This hidden gem is tucked away from all the other shops and restaurants in downtown Cary - but so worth going! There is plenty of parking because it is right by the parking garage! The ice cream is delicious! There is room to sit insides and outside to enjoy it! It employs people with intellectual and physical disabilities. The service is outstanding! Can't wait to come back!

Great ice cream with a mission to support giving career opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities. Highly recommend. Waffle sundae was excellent.

Beautiful Saturday evening and it was a perfect day for some ice cream and decided to try this new place in Cary called Howdy Homemade ice cream. It's located off of Walker and Walnut and has a few places outside to sit and enjoy the weather and your ice cream. Walking inside the atmosphere is very bright and cheery and are immediately greeted with a "Howdy" and a warm smile from the young staff. The menu is very easy to simple to see and to order from. They offer a few different sizes of cups and at the time they were out of the waffle cones but will try next time for sure. Their is a good amount of seating inside with a public restroom and they have a few toys and some books for small children. We tried the non dairy flavors to kind of compare with other local ice cream shops non dairy options. We ordered the Coconut, Coffee and Salted Carmel. -Coconut had a very good flavor, a bit sweeter than others but still very good. Nice flakes of coconut in the ice cream and good overall texture. -Salted Carmel had a nice richness and good amount of sweetness to it and not too salty, nicely balanced for the most part. -Coffee was also good with good texture but could have more of a coffee flavor. My favorite was the Coconut This place is to be commended for creating jobs for young ones with developmental and intellectual disabilities which is so noble and rare to find in this world. We really enjoyed our visit to Howdy Homemade Ice Cream and will be back. We are so glad that there are more options for a dessert like this one in the Triangle

Amazing ice cream! The chocolate peanut butter is my favorite. And there is a parking garage which makes parking a breeze! Super employees too!

I love the mission of Howdy, which they have clearly outlined on their website, and am happy there is another ice cream option in downtown Cary. Especially one that is so close to the library, which we frequent. My daughter and I came to check out Howdy, and she ordered the Cookies and Cream while I tried their Coffee. The coffee was non-dairy (they had two other non-dairy options that day - Salted Caramel and Coconut), and I thought the coffee had pretty good flavor and texture / consistency. I sneaked a bite of my daughter's Cookies and Cream, though, and enjoyed hers better.Their other flavors were pretty standard, but they had a few interesting ones that I may try next time - namely, Dr, Pepper Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Velvet Peanut Butter Cup.The service was great - we were greeted immediately when we arrived, everyone was friendly, and we got our ice creams promptly. The prices were reasonable - we both got a one-scoop cup for $4 each, but they also have a two-scoop option for $6 and 3 scoops for $8. We didn't go for any toppings this time, but those were 2 for $1.The place is new, so it was very clean and well-kept inside. Parking was easy at the neighboring parking deck, which is shared with the library. There isn't much signage outside, possibly because not many other businesses have opened in this complex yet, but I'm guessing they'll have more noticeable signage with time. There was an A-frame sign outside the door when I went, which was sufficient. We hope to come back soon!
