Pop Top Burgers

I wanted to like it more than I did. It was a whole lotta bun and the meat wasn't spectacular. The Oreo cookie shake could have been better. The thin onion rings were very good. Overall, (I'm sad to say) I wouldn't go back. In the same category of burger types Pappas makes a better burger.

I should have taken pictures before we started. We had the Friezz in me Crazy, Spicy onion rings, HashTag Burger and Aye Yei Yei Burger. Everything was delicious. Messy, but worth it! The service was awesome. Makayla was friendly, helpful and attentive. We left full and satisfied with our experience!

Pop Top is one of my mom's favorite stops. The PT Breakfast Burger being the reason. She says the creamy maple bacon spread is just heaven. I'll take her word for it, eggs and breakfast not being my thing, so certainly not on my burger. On our most recent visit, I had the Razz Burger. You know when you go to a party and that block of cream cheese with chipotle raspberry sauce has been poured over the top and you think how lazy but can't step away? Yeah....the Razz Burger. Look at the pic! Anticipate the use of many napkins or a knife and fork which i refuse on principle. Our server (whose name escapes me, dangit!), was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He offered our side as 1/2 and 1/2. Well, yeah!! And onion rings thick or thin? Spicy or regular? Sometimes, too many options are not ideal. Honestly, i may have thought that looking at burger options. But for my tots/fries/onion ring basket! Those options made me giddy. Numerous people came in to get their to-go basic turkey cheese burger. Sure, be boring if that's your thing But when you have company, bring them to enjoy the sit down space and service! And the overall unique experience.

Menu looked extraordinary! The service was very friendly and kind; The prices were high, but if the burger looked as the menu pictures looked, it would be well worth it. Honestly, I've had a few friends rave on it, so i was excited. The result - pretty good! The onion rings on the burger I ordered were several inches tall on the menu picture. On my burger they were flat! It wasn't worth the price, but, maybe I just had the wrong burger, because several friends rated it highly to me. I should have had the crescent maple breakfast burger because several people claimed it is killer. I'll give it another shot and order that burger.

I am crazy for the breakfast burger. All of the ingredients worked so well together that I have never bothered to try anything else here

Went for lunch today 10-13-23 & it was wonderful. My friends & I have been looking for a good hamburger in Clear Lake area this seems to be it. I had the Chopped Japaleno Burger, my friend had the Wine Not Burger. Also had the onion rings my friend had curly fries everything was done to perfection. The Wine Not Burger was unique tase & was a surprise. Next time I'll. try it. Our waitress was right on top of everything. She was cute & happy. She was another perfection. Next time I'll try a starter & looking forward to it. If you're looking for a GREAT Burger go here.

I came in for a quick burger for lunch and wasn't impressed. Yes, they are better than the fast food places; however, the bun was stale (at least it was properly toasted), extremely dry, which ruined it for me. The meat was very good, as was the cheese melted on top. I'm not really into all of the different varieties, just prefer their old fashioned (a regular cheeseburger with tomatoes, onions, pickles, lettuce mayo and mustard). It would have been very good if not for the old bun. The buns may very well be house-made; if so, they most likely do not have preservatives and what I had may have been a few days old. That's what it seemed like. It wasn't moldy, just as dry as the Sahara. Like this review, prices are fair and honest. A thing that irritated me was a sign reading "Please tip our wait staff and support local businesses." I find telling a paying customer (that is already supporting a local business by being there) how to behave, uncalled for. While I always tip (even with poor service, as most people do), I do not feel that a business has the right to suggest that a customer tips their waitstaff. Here's my sign for the owners: "If you want your waitstaff tipped, please train them better and they will not only be tipped more but may even receive larger tips" - or better yet, "Stop being so damned cheap and pay them more than minimum tip wages." That's their responsibility and they have no business tip shaming customers with signs. What restaurant does this? It's disrespectful to the customers....and about the service - I did not receive outstanding service. When I came in, I walked through the door and sat for about 5 minutes without being noticed (waitress was in the back and not on the floor). A customer should be acknowledged the minute they walk in the door. When my burger came out, it was delivered by another young lady - who threw the plate in front of me. I said, 'thank you,' to no reply. Rude. She walked promptly away, back to the kitchen, not asking if I need anything else (which I did - ketchup for the fries). Again, my waitress was in the back and not on the floor. I got up, went to an unbussed table (that mess was there the entire time) and retrieved the bottle of ketchup that was sitting on it. There should always be a person attentive to the customers' needs on the floor, at all times - even if there is only one table with customers. I still left a good tip, I attribute this behavior to bad training (and perhaps no management during the time I was there). That sign though is BS. I think the place would do better with just a simple counter service (like the Gyro Guys a few doors down). All in all, it wasn't a total disaster. If the bun was fresh and the service was better - this could have gone 4 stars. Hopefully, the owners have enough sense to read their customers' review and will take care of a few things, or at the very least, get rid of their absurd sign.

Ordered To-go and my dad picked up our order. The food was ready when it was supposed to be. We were all happy with our burgers, fat onion rings, & sweet potato fries. My dad is happy that there's a good burger place close to home that isn't a chain and will definitely return.

Sadly, our service was pretty bad but I'm assuming that was the waitress being alone and doing a million things. Unfortunately I saw 2 different parties sit down at a booth and they left after not being greeted for a while... I'm assuming it's the small business struggle between adequate staff and overhead costs, etc... anyways, they make a pretty mean burger and their tots and onion rings are crispy and delicious!!We'll be back but will plan on the likely slower service.Thanks!!

35 minutes for our online order to be ready while someone walks in and says I placed an online order ten minutes ago and.... wow - there order miraculously is ready.Sorry Webster... this two to three times a month customer is moving on.Absolutely Horrible to not even apologize knowing my frustration and not being happy.
