"My kids wanted to play pool while we were here. They ended up loving it and we went 3 times. They got pretty decent rates. We played at least 2 hours each time and I don't think we payed more than $20. They have snacks and ramen you can buy."
"Who doesn't love Slick Willie's? Barbie's seen quite a few of these, and apparently gets them slicker than anyone. Well, no, she really does, I can tell you from experience. And there's nothing "family" about her "pool halls" if you know what I mean. This is your typical pool hall located right in the heart of Montrose on Westheimer. It's a good place for a pool hall because this area doesn't have any typical standard bars and hangouts like this, mostly just hipster craft beer stuffs, so it's something that Montrose needs and it's great that it has it."
"The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed they had non-alcoholic beverages. The tables are by the hour at a decent price. We were able to get a table even though they had a tournament on."
"First time here tonight and overall I'd say it was a pretty good experience. I had a girl named Kim serving me. From the Jump she noticed I wasn't exactly sure if they just had bar service or if I could take a seat and have someone come up to me. She let me know how the place worked and took care of me for the rest of the night. She had a great attitude all through the night even with it being a Saturday and extremely busy. I'm usually not one for super busy Bars so would definitely prefer this place on a weekday instead of weekends, but if that's your vibe, THIS IS THE PLACE. Lots of people, good music, fun arcade games and GREAT drink prices. My only issue was how much drama was going on, my first night there and I watched 4 different fights break out, that has nothing to do with the establishment though and everything to do with just drunk people. But the security 100% did there job and diffused every situation before it got out of hand. I recommend everyone try this place out atleast once. The location in Richmond texas is also great."
"Nice pool hall and smoking is allowed just glad only ONE person was smoking. Pool free all day with purchase. Only food available is queso and salsa"
"I have to admit that I like this place. I had just come from dinner, so I was neither hungry nor thirsty. No foods were offered to me, so I like that they allowed me to dictate my pace. For the staff not to offer may be an irritant to some, but since it is a pool hall, I like that they put that mentality first. I do know that they charge by the minute. I would be comfortable giving them a 4 star rating except one thing happened...they forgot to give me all the pool balls on the initial handing out of supplies! That would not be an issue, but if you are charged per minute, and you have to wait several minutes for the one guy handing out supplies to get back to your area, then that is kind of unfair to the customer to have dead time waiting on your to do your initial task properly and charge me for your mess up. Screw your 4th star!!!I like that they have a great deal before the night time hours kicks in with regards to pricing. You were charged about $7 an hour ($0.11 a minute) for pool on my particular Sunday. It goes to $14 ($0.22 a minute) an hour for the nighttime play. I was not told if the night time was something based on a set time, or if it was when you looked outside and saw it was dark.I noticed a full bar, darts, a game to test how hard you can punch, a basketball shooting machine, and a menu with light eats...with no prices...I hate no prices. I should take away another star for not allowing my frugal meter to activate and scope accordingly! All in all, a good experience. They truly earned that 4th star on the strength of them not allowing smoking inside of the building! That's a huge plus for me. So, you do get the 4th star. If I order food next time, you just may lose that forth star, so be ready!"
"Bar has good music like Nikki, Bad Bunny , Beyoncé,Drake . Possibly some country . Cute guys and chicks . Good place for a Saturday and young crowd too and second not a strong smoke smell.. Good hole on the wall a bar"
"They have dart board back! Yea! I really love the ladies that work there. My husband and I go in about once a week. I almost never go alone, but recently I went in by myself. I was quite impressed with Kelly, she thought I was being bothered by another customer, Kelly was quick to protect me. She had my back to make sure I wasn't being bothered. Thank you Kelly! So all you single ladies out there, you will not have to worry about walking in here alone!"
"I really liked their tables here and the layout of the pool tables. I was here for a ladies tournament and the staff seemed to be quite friendly also. The only thing I would have to say that was not nice was the ventilation but I guess that is what you get with all pool halls. They have plenty of tables to go around which helped the tournament move along quite quickly compared to the amount of people who showed up for it. There is also plenty of parking outside and the windows are tinted quite well so if you are there during the day you won't be blinded by the light outside while shooting pool. They have a restroom on either side of the building and when it gets busy they open up the one in the "back" (which is the right side of the building if you are looking at it from the front) They also seemed to have a poker or card game area for those who are interested in those kinds of things."

They have a lot of table and a friendly staff. If you're looking for something to do late at night, MJs is open late and is relatively cheap at $10/hr. Thy have enough tables for a lot of people and they have two different types of game tables for different games. If you ask, they have gloves which they can lend to you for free!! This is a great place to take friends. They do allow people to smoke or vape so if anyone has asthma, be careful. But late night fun!!

Good times out at the Slick Willie Family Pool Hall in the Montose area. This was my very first time at this establishment and it was a very nice experience. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The pool tables were all very nice and well kept. Pretty impressive. I do remember hearing good music from the juke box in the background too. Seems like good parking too. The drinks were good. I did not have a chance to go to the Lady's room but from the look and feel of the whole place, I'd say they were probably just as nice and clean. All in all it was a great time. Will definitely be back for more pool playing fun.

Big tyme billiards was just ok. I had never been to a place like this before, and my expectations were kinda high (I love playing pool). I went with a group of friends on a Friday night and they were pretty busy. Most all of the tables were spoken for. The bar wasn't super busy, but it still took forever for them to serve us. It also wasn't super clear how to actually reserve a table. I have to say, I don't think me and my friends were the target demographic for this place, we got a lot of stares and definitely didn't fit it. It was still kinda fun tho, but if you have a pool table at home or anywhere else I'd just play there instead. I probably would not come back here unless my friends really wanted to go.If you are middle aged, like pool and dive bars you'll probably love this place though.Fun fact: they had tvs that shows a constant scroll of big white text memes that looked like they came straight off Facebook.

Its a pretty relaxed type of pool hall. Definitely not a family pool hall but its good for friends to go and have a good time or a large group to do the same. If your not a fan of cigarette smoke, then don't come here. Its constantly polluted with smoke. Other than the smoke, its a pretty cool place. $12 an hour for a table which is good because about half of the time they don't keep track on how long you've been there and they just charge an hour. I've been here plenty times before for more than 2+ hours and they just charged $12. The food and drinks are expensive, but if you go for the pool, you'll have a good time.

If you don't do hole in the wall spots. This spot is everything. Ike is the bartender and he is EVERYTHING! Great personality and all. He recommends the best drinks and very personable. This place is not upscale but great music and drinks. Awesome hole in the wall bar. If you love poke this is a POOL HALL with great drinks and music. If in the neighborhood it's a great meetup spot with good service and good drinks. The location is great with plenty of drinks. Met all kinds of people. They have plenty of parking and very easy to locate. I will definitely be back. Try a OMG shot it's awesome.

Visit Restaurant Page"Had such a great time tonight here! I haven't shot pool probably for 10-12 years but I somehow managed to win a few rounds!Upon walking in, I was impressed by how spacious and clean the place was. We were immediately greeted and given instructions and balls to play. Pricing was $5/person per hour. That's a great deal. We didn't have any drinks today as we just had a pretty heavy meal. Can't wait to return and sharpen my skills again.****Smoking is permitted inside."
"One of the few places in Houston that has snooker. Very rare to find a location with more than a handful of tables. Q Ball has 5 official Strachan snooker tables (used in official tournaments) that are consistently clean and well kept. Three 8 ft. Tables along with three 9 feet tables. Plenty of tables with plenty of space. Staff and owners are very friendly and will always be tentative. I was a stranger before but now, they made me feel like family.Rates: (per hour)8$ - 8 ft. Tables9$ - 9 ft. Tables10$ - Snooker tablesThere is a special on a specific date that reduces table prices!*** Great Pros to keep in mind:- smoke friendly. Q ball allows customers to smoke inside the vicinity and also serve high quality seisha in a high quality hookah. ( brand: Khalil Mamoon)- clean tables with a nice atmosphere.- daily specials like cheaper hookah, wings, and alcohol.- Full bar that serves multiple types of liquor and cocktails.Cons:There are literally no cons besides 1 that cannot be changed due to the environment and that's the fact that the music is playing. Don't think that the store has bad music, i always i enjoy their music selection when I'm there, but snooker players play in complete silence and needs major concentration."
"Really fun place. Live music (JustUs tonight), pool tables, and very friendly clientele. You don't have to be a regular to be welcomed. This was my first trip and every one, patrons and staff, were open and inviting. Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Only 4 stars because the guy behind the bar was clearly having trouble finding and cashing out out check. Thankfully the waitress gave him a hand and got us on our way. Overall all a great place to have a drink and cut loose. I will be back for sure."
"Place is clean with good signature drinks. I took my 18 year old son and had a good time relaxing. The tables were good. We had our own cue sticks so I can't speak to that. Because of Covid there is no hand chalk so you may want to bring your own, but there is still cue chalk."
"I've been coming into Mo's off-n-on for ever. First recollection is Clint Black before he made it big. Anyway, the place is a lot bigger, but it's still a honky tonk. Cold beer, decent bar food. Lots of space. Live music most nights. If your looking for some new fangled fancy pants club, this ain't for you. If you want to hear good ol' country music with cold beer. This is your place."
"So fun! Great friendly people! Great place to stop in Bellville!! Great music, pool, full bar, laid back mentality"
"The best pool hall in Houston for 3-cushion billiards. Heated billiard tables are well kept. 9-foot pool tables run well but the pockets are a little big. Waitresses are cute and friendly. Ice cold beers and excellent food."
"Me and one of my friends attended recently to watch a fight. I had been here once before and got great service at the bar so we sat at the bar again and were waited on by Breyohn. She kept our glasses full and we had great service. They also have food and we tried their wings and fries. My friend did not enjoy them but were OK for me.They are pretty large inside with a stage in the middle of the building. Towards the back is another bar and a number of pool tables. They have a large amount of TV's through the building and behind the bar. They have a DJ on the nights that we were there and on Thursday they have a twerk off. lolIt is cool place for an event or just to stop in for a few drinks."
"A friend and I were in the area and were in the mood to have a drink or two in a place with a lively and fun atmosphere and younger patrons. The Yelp app directed us here.Shamrock's Pub is basically 2 bars in one. When we first walked in, we entered an area that was full of smoke and had a long, rectangular bar to our left, booth seating to our right and was nearly full. Neither of us smoke and we wanted to sit at the bar, so I decided to check out the adjoining space to see if we'd have better luck there. It was yet another full bar, and lots of tables and chairs in this space were available, but this portion of Shamrock's was non-smoking. Perfect! The bartender was friendly, and the drink prices here are definitely reasonable (we had 2 mixed drinks and 2 pint drafts and the total was something like $16 with tax). They don't have a food menu, but do offer bowls of buttered popcorn, and on Tuesdays they feature a steak night. If you're staying near the airport on this side of town, this divey establishment is probably one of the more lively bars to come to through the week."
"They sang Video Killed The Radio Star, but wait, that was The Buggles, so never mind.Houston is a huge city with a lot of transplants from other places and if you're from cheese country - anywhere in Wisconsin - and you're offended the NFL... I mean a fan of the NFL but who isn't offended by the NFL?... then this is the bar for you.Food is good and prices are average and the crowd is fun, but most of all it's the centre for everything Packers related.Any Packers game you want to see come here. That's why it's here and they do a great job with it. For the rest of the year it's a little bit more low-key."
"I have lived in the area for EVER and I have never seen this place ! However, I am soooo glad we stopped by. A.K. Was absolutely awesome! He was so attentive and welcoming. This is very nice spot, very well kept, great sound system, awesome music, the hookah flavors were really dope! The atmosphere is super cool and chill! I will definitely be back !!!! Thanks again A.K. !!!!!"
"Love this place. Came in with a friend and have had a blast. Great atmosphere and amazing bartender"
"I went here about an hour ago. The manager is VERY RUDE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! She had an attitude the whole time!"
"~A foolproof test to determine if you can handle Carro's~Name the song based on these lyrics: "Slow, loud, and bangin' all in my trunk. Trunk full of skunk. I ain't neva been a punk!" Don't know this song? Maybe Carro's isn't for you. I've had *too* many great nights here. This *is* the hood Houston bar, but ALL walks of life frequent this place. You can't beat the music, the $5 Hennessy (!!!), and the feeling of being at home. As an HBCU grad who now lives in Corporate America 5 days a week, I get a sense of nostalgia when I visit Carro's. I'm not always in the mood for a night here, but when I do visit this place, I'm always guaranteed a good time. Plus, there's no true pressure to get all dolled up. I've walked into Carro's barefaced, wearing a plain white tee. On Fridays, the chicken man sells the most delicious fried chicken boxes. Get there before 10 to catch him!"
