"Small kolache store off of 59. Donuts are cooked well and taste like Shipleys. The jalapeño sausage kolaches are solid. The Boudain kolache is a bit bland and heavy, I forgot to consider it was rice wrapped in bread..."

"Why 4 stars? Because I loved the European vibes. --- --- ---This is one of the most European restaurants I've been to since my visit to Europe, 6 years ago. The vibe, the menu, and even the plates/cups/utensils. I'm pretty sure I entered some kind of portal in the Woodlands that teleported me across the Atlantic. How I ended up here is: we have taken our son to the Play Museum next door many times and recently noticed Simona's had opened. I bookmarked it, but kind of forgot about it. Fast forward to a morning a couple of months later where I got done playing basketball and was experiencing a shocking level of hunger. Like, I was going to need medical attention if I didn't consume a lot of food, very quickly. I opened up my bookmarks and Simona's was the closest spot to me at only 6 minutes away. Done!I ordered a very odd combination of things, but when you're that hungry, nothing makes sense:Protein Shake: 3-stars. This was fine, but not something I'd order again. I just really needed protein.Ribeye Sandwich: 4-stars. I didn't love that jalapenos were in this, despite them not being listed on the menu. That was a surprise, found out too late. But otherwise, this mostly hit the spot for me.Berries and Sweet Cream: 4.5 stars. Not too sweet, but perfectly satisfying. Hey, did I mention that this place reminds me of Europe? It certainly didn't hurt that I sat outside and the weather was postcard-perfect. Next time, we will definitely plan a visit here for the whole family post-Play Museum."
"Waffle house, you know what it is. So good American breakfast food. May not be the best for you but it's so so good. I have a sausage egg and cheese hash brown bowl. I topped with chili, it's one of my favorites. First class"
"City Cafe is great . The food is great always fresh service is quick and very polite everyone is paying attention. The ambiance is normal not sure how else to describe it but not loud . Highly recommended if you are in the Pasadena area or don't mind driving there ."
"Juicy sourdough burgers with an excellent seasonal fried seafood menu. Just added gizzards and they are pretty good but need to add more to their basket. They serve blue bell Icecream, shakes, malts, and sundaes."
"I'm sad to say this was our first time at Waffle House but what a great experience! Yaketta took care of our family and was wonderful! I can truly say this staff is some of the hardest working people ever!"
"My second time at this Denny's location. I got the same waitress as last time, she's amazing, energetic & prompt... Her name starts with an M I believe beautiful long red hair that's how you'll know her. I only always order the Moons over my hammy (sub turkey for ham) but this time I chose french fries as a side. NEWS FLASH: Denny's has NEW FRIES, steak cut with deep ridges, super crispy, dipped in ranch, so yum! All of the staff is nice here, there are plastic plates to separate each booth for sanitary reasons, nice! Anyway... enjoy...oh huge plus, I left my laptop at the table by accident & left. She put it away for me. So thankful for good people left in this world."
"It's been a while since we ate at a House of Pies. This one was close to our hotel so gave them a try. Plenty of parking. Seated right away. Our waitress Royalty took excellent care of us. My wife decided to have the Club Breakfast- French toast with scrambled eggs and a sausage patty. Very tasty French toast. Yep they have heated syrup (don't often see that anymore).I had the chicken pot pie- very good served nice and hot. Could have used a bit more gravy it was a bit dry. Plenty of chicken and vegetables a nicely baked top crust. I had a slice of cherry pie and wife had the Dutch apple. Both good but to be honest we've had better. So it's a solid 4. Looking at the menu I think it would be a great breakfast choice."

As a true connoisseur of casual dining, I must say that my recent experience at the White Elm was nothing short of exceptional. My BFF and I stopped by for a girlfriend brunch one Saturday and feasted on delicious meal.Located in not so busy strip mall this gem of a restaurant has a cool French vibe with two types of dining options. You can choose to eat in open dining room or in the adjacent dining area near the lounge area. We chose to eat in the room adjacent to the dining room. Seated in a corner table we were ready to taste away.Among the various culinary delights on the menu, the hamburger stood out as a true masterpiece. The patty was expertly cooked, achieving an optimal level of juiciness and tenderness that is often elusive in the realm of hamburgers. The toppings were also carefully chosen, complementing the flavors of the patty rather than overwhelming it.And the bun - a crucial element often overlooked by lesser establishments - was soft, pillowy, and perfectly fresh. In short, this hamburger was a triumph of gastronomy, and I highly recommend it to any discerning foodie. In addition to the perfectly juicy hamburger, we also had the pleasure of trying the deviled eggs for an appetizer and the bread pudding for dessert. The deviled eggs were expertly prepared, with a creamy and flavorful filling that was a perfect balance of eggy and savory. The bread pudding was equally impressive, with a rich and buttery flavor that was enhanced by a generous drizzle of a sauce that may or may not been caramel. Whatever it was, it was delish. Both dishes were true highlights of the meal, and I highly recommend trying them.. All in all, this restaurant is a true gem, and I can't wait to go back and sample more of their deliciousness.

Hadn't been to the Tomball Denny's in awhile it's been updated with a nice clean new look with tile like flooring no carpet. The booths need a little more cushion kinda felt like the booth we sat in was sucking me in and lumpy. My hubby and I just had the classic slam w/ 2 eggs, 2 bacon/2 sausage and 2 buttermilk pancakes. Their coffee is still delicious Our waitress was great.

Super cute spot here in The Woodlands. Staff is super friendly and their Nutella Crossiants are to die for. We definitely want to come back and try some of their wine and tapas. We love the art work and the restaurants whole vibe. Definitely coming back!

Generally when dining in the south it is my expectation for the service to be warm , friendly and inviting. This Waffle House in general was NONE of that!!!! Let me tell you what the Positives were before I lament on the detractors of this spot. Our server (David) was the bright spot of our visit. Today was his 1st day after a breif training and in our opinion he was doing an excellent job despite the lack of respect he was afforded from his co-workers 7.1.2021. David was polite, paid attention to details and worked expediently. Thank you David and best wishes in all of your endeavors!!! The food was fresh, but not hot. We had to ask for a cup of hot water to clean the utensils and the coffee cups weren't clean. I realize the workers were young, but no excuses for Waffle House !!!! The store was equally unclean.

Went there for breakfast while in town on business. There was not a lot of people in there that morning which was great. It was a standard diner appearance inside with booths, tables and a counter. The waitress was friendly and efficient. She did a good job. I got the pancake special. It was only 10 dollars and had a ton of food. It was good overall but the pancakes were a little underdone. The centers were a little raw. I just ate around it. I'd go back but ask for more well done pancakes. They're HUGE and thick so maybe they just need to be cooked another 60 seconds.

This place is small and unsuspecting but they have a big menu full of big flavor. Our party ordered a little of everything. Top compliments to the Philly cheesesteak and the burgers. Their tots and fries are spot on and the onion rings tasted fresh from the garden. To make this whole thing above and beyond, the customer service was welcoming and made us feel right at home!

They had some of the best service imaginable and were open during the storm. However, they were not very nice to us on the second night when we came back here hoping for some more food, and wouldn't let anybody in even though our part of the city had no power or food, and they did here in Stafford. But I can understand considering the circumstances. Based on that experience I would have given and one star because it was a nightmare. But if I focus just on the first night and how well they treated us, I will give them five stars. However, the third trip will be the Tell-Tale. When the storm hit there was nobody as welcoming and wonderful as these guys honestly. That's why I choose only to review them based on the first night. In any case, I have always been in love with Waffle House Hash Browns. I get them with everything on them - even the Jalapenos, although sometimes not the cheese. Especially the chunks of ham and the chili, so good. They often make me run to the bathroom though. This place makes them as well as any... absolutely spectacular Hash Browns all the way... especially with the onions, ham, chili. And their patty melt, and chicken patty melt - sensational. And don't get me started on that awesome sausage breakfast sandwich. My reviews are full of waffle, and so is Waffle House. Match made in heaven, am I right."
""It is indeed marvelous-- an irony-free zone where everything is beautiful and nothing hurts; where everybody regardless of race, creed, color or degree of inebriation is welcomed." - Anthony BourdainThe episode of Parts Unknown when chefs Anthony Bourdain and his buddy Sean Brock visit a Waffle House is the greatest commercial of all time. How many people (including myself) were moved to visit a Waffle House after that? Millions perhaps? This one I visited in Rosenberg, TX is by far the best Waffle House I've ever been to. That's not saying much. Most of them are dangerous, frequented by all kinds of villainous folk. This Waffle House is clean. The staff is friendly. The patrons are normal people. And, the food is absolutely delicious.I start with the incredible breakfast sandwich with buttered and toasted Texas toast, two eggs over easy with a melted slice of American cheese, and two strips of bacon (to which I add a little tobasco). It is the perfect breakfast food. Side of delicious sausages and hash browns. Everyone cooked to perfection. Orange juice and coffee. Is there anything more American? Of course, what trip to Waffle House would be complete without their specialty - the waffle? The waffle has its own plate. Once the butter has melted, now you can add the maple syrup. Never before. I'm in my happy place. Their waffle is a gift from Heaven. So good. I'm so grateful. And, now I'm so full.Thank you Waffle House. I love you."
"10.1.23 Super late lunch again. Hubby and I were in the Cypress area finishing up some chores and stopped at BBD for a quick meal before heading home.We both ordered breakfast food. I was going to redeem my birthday meal but when I went to pay it was expired. Bummer! I ordered a French toast meal with bacon and eggs. Everything was very tasty. I would order it again. Hubby ordered biscuits with sausage and gravy and it also came with grits. He said his meal was good and super filling. The gentlemen waiter was good and they were not crowded when we arrived. So it was quiet. We really like BBD - wish there was a location in Magnolia, TX! We will eat here again when we are in the area."
"Every time I'm in Montgomery, I head to El Bosque. The service is so excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming and the food just melts my heart! The shrimp tacos are a particular with plump juicy shrimp. I love their Charo beans, and I always ask for green sauce, which is outstanding. My sister loves their taco salad with fajita meat. I wish there was an El Bosque in Philly; I tell them that every time I go."
"Sorry but Not sorry...I've heard of the great reviews of this place and was very disappointed in the way they conduct business. The ONE time we come out for breakfast we were totally ignored when we first came in. 2 Other tables got served before we were even greeted or acknowledged..I had to stop a waitresses to get service. It's not like No one saw us....because everyone stared at us when we came in. My father is a disabled veteran and was in a wheelchair. However they tried to make it right but the damage was already done..Not coming back."
"My Mom likes to keep it simple when it comes to her food choices, we was out running errands and today was my turn to treat. I knew she would really like Telwink Grill. The wait wasn't too long, while she waited in line, I was enjoying the energy of the eclipse moon.Your never to young or old to enjoy their country cooking and wonderful service.I ordered my usual, a real egg meat omelette, an omelette is not a real omelette without real eggs. Grits of course, fresh churned buttery butter hold the cheese and sugar please. Mom got fish, green beans and fries. So we're chit chatting and my nose and eyeballs keep zooming on my neighbors stack of pancakes. My nose and eyeballs all ways bully's my waistline, I fought really hard but that's a battle I choose not to fight. "Miss, can you bring me 1 pancake?" Who said that? In my Porsha William voice, I look around and Mom said "You, Niki"Our food came and all conversation ended. That's my review in 300 words are less."
"Reminds me of home, simply a good place to eat. This place was filled with smiling faces, full belly's and empty plates. It was my first visit and I immediately knew I had stumbled upon a gem. I was greeted and seated promptly. The menu was easy to navigate and offered a variety of choices. My waitress was amazing; her recommendations based off of my inquiries were perfect. The vibe was chill, a sure place to enjoy a comfort meal. I'll be returning sooner than later."
"Came for houston restaurant weeks 2022. Place was pretty empty. I made a resy prior to. I found street parking, it's metored parking during the day, there's also a parking lot up the street. I didn't see valet. Cassie I believe was our server she was attentive. Drink- I had the sunrise or sunset drink. It was good, not too sweet, it had mango brandy in it, which I never had before.Food- first course I had the mushroom toast. I liked the ingredients of it, but toast ended up soggy, should have gotten the yellowtail crudo. 2nd course I got the short rib paperadelle pasta, it was large portion. I wanted more cheese on it. Flavors were subtle, I think it needed more herbs. It had real potential. Last course I had the lemon basil cheesecake. I love cheesecake, it was a bit salty. Couldn't tell if it was salty because of the crust, the cake, or the Carmel sauce?Anyway, overall nice service, spacious place, nice decor. Would have to come back to say and see if the food is good. It was alright this visit."
"1st visit. Stopped in on the way to catch our cruise. Great food, great service. Food comes out quick and made to order. Typical dinner scene. Nothing fancy. Just good old fashioned food and service. Waitresses are hustling and cooks are flipping flap jacks and cooking it up fast and delicious! We sat at the counter and shared a breakfast plate. Prices are reasonable. Very clean place."
"On my mini vacation in Texas, mom and I was craving a hearty breakfast/brunch and why not let's get some Denny's!! Looking through the menu automatically the double berry banana pancakes caught my attention to the point my mom had orders the same exact thing!! The Doubke berry banana pancakes came with two fluffy pancakes with hash browns, your choice of style eggs, your choice of sausage or bacon!! Our waitress was fairly friendly however some what forgetful, we had ordered two coffees and it took her awhile just to bring the coffee out. But when it did come being the coffe o' Holic I am, I was content! The meal itself was SUPER DELICIOUS!!! The double Berry banana pancakes are to die for!! Slices of fresh strawberries and bananas all over the two fluffy pancakes with whip cream and blueberries cooked inside the pancakes oh my!!! The hash browns are ultimately one of my faves!!! The eggs was cooked the way I wanted it!! And the bacon was cooked to perfection!!My mom and I was wobbling out after that brunch!! It was truly a great stop to have a hot breakfast!!"
"This was my second time here and I forgot how good this place is.We ordered oysters and drinks for appetizers. The cocktails were delicious and well made. I ordered the fried chicken and my husband ordered the steak pastry dish. The chicken was enough for two people! It was crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside with great flavors. Our server was absolutely fantastic, I love this place and will be back soon"
"We stayed at margaritaville for New Years and wanted some good yummy breakfast. Of course with the help of YELP! I found a yummy diner. It was alittle packed but we waited only about 20 minutes. Service 10/10- Plenty of refill coffees and water. Kept communicating with us! Food 10/10 Breakfast was awesome- we got the works there was 7 of us. Pork chops and eggs 10/10 French toast 10/10 Pancakes 10/10 It's a really good place, i think also if you have a kid you get popcorn i thought that was neat at as well. The price wasn't bad at all either. If i ever go down that way again. I will be eating there for sure!"
"WooowwwI can't believe this place! This was the best food we had and all of Houston. It is in a tiny, metal, unassuming little restaurant on the side of the road. It looks like nothing from the outside, but when you go inside, it is the friendliest people ever. The waiter came over and had a full conversation with us, and we did not feel imposing or anything. While he was talking to us other people helps the other tables. They all worked together and all of the diners were having a great time. It's a very friendly place and the food is absolutely outstanding. We made substitutions and asked questions and they were very accommodating and helpful. We had a crab cake, chicken and waffles, and pancakes. They don't have a liquor license but they have a bunch of different drinks so we have a peach mimosa, Bellini, Moscow mule, and some other drinks. Absolutely terrific and I hope they stay this way."
"Our first time here. Previous YELP reviews very mixed. We went tonight for Valentine's Day , fixed price menu. Great cocktails to start and we did a bottle of a very nice Petit Chablis. There were some other nice choices on a small wine list. The first flight, not shown was a sushi flight which we both had. My only complaint there was that i did not noice the wagyu beef which i cannot eat and which not normally on. Sushi flight, traded for th yellowtail with my wife so not big deal. Good quality sushi, no soy sauce needed thank you.I followed with Salmon and my wife had Chateaubriand. I did the passion fruit and my wife did a strawberry sorbet. NiceWait staff great, they seemed to know well the frequent diners (not us) and the decor was modern and a nice match with the not modern music. Good, mixed crowd. Not sure how much mix from an artificial v-day mix (ah, that would be us). Hint. We took the very very uncool 6pm seating , but heck, we got seated on time. When we left at 8:30 pm or so, the line was very long with people waiting for their much cooler 7-8pm seatings. We were not chased out and frankly the kitchen backed up anyway. It's V-day, cancellations are very low and this sort of things happen. I think if i had one of those ultra-cool 8pm seatings and waited 60min for my table I would have killed a star or two. There is no 'wait bar' , it is a line out to the parking lot. They need to rethink that form a cash standpoint. We also went a week later, to see what it was like on a non holiday Friday night. Obviously better menu though portions a bit too large. No change to the review. Pricy, but good food, great waitstaff in a fun environment. We also did the 6pm seating to avoid the chance of a wait but that was a bit paranoid. 7pm would have been fine."
"So, I'm updating my review because...*drum roll*, Ken's is NO LONGER SMOKING! Y'all this is fantastic. I can finally bring my nieces and nephew on the weekends without subjecting them to the smoke. They've cleaned the place up and given it a bit of a makeover. You can't even tell that this used to allow indoor smoking. The food is virtually the same but if they added fresh fruit or avocado toast, I'd probably make this a regular spot. Great bacon and the service is always friendly and spot-on."
"Not to be confused with the songs Avalon by Roxy Music or Tom's Diner by Suzanne Viva-Las-Vega.It's a pretty standard diner located at the massive plaza where we like to go shopping in Stafford which is called The Fountains, just off the south end of the main shopping area, and it doesn't get too busy. It's not rocket science so to speak, but they do pretty good food, chicken fried steaks and such, and it's a lot better than Denny's or IHOP, and the prices are comparable, so I can't really give them less than a four star - especially considering they're a local place. I upped it to 5 because the only time we've been here in the last 2 years, the service was wonderful."
"Well...this is about as American as you can get. Super friendly service. She knew everyone by name who came thru the front door. Everything was piping hot!...Amazing pancakes ...top of the line bacon and fresh eggs. Biscuits fresh out of the oven...seriously couldn't have been a better experience! And this is why the wife drives when we are cruising cross country...As navigator I'm in charge of keeping us feed...found this on the fly and would go back in a second!"
"Best by far the greatest WAFFLE HOUSE.SERVICE GREATLOCATION GREATWAIT STAFF BETTER THAN MOST.This store should be a training store. Very clean restrooms.Marc the mgr. Wasgreat. Super ice and backed his staff."
"Magnolia Diner filled the craving I had. The BLT hit the spot and you have to get the seasoned fries which are crispy and deep fried with seasoning. Great spot and friendly servers. Shoutout to Billy for being an attentive server. Thanks Magnolia Diner!"
"STEPH JUDGEMENT: We got what we came for.My second-ever Waffle House visit (the other was in Atlanta). We were very hungry after missing dinner and this was the most palatable option to us in the area (we weren't in the mood for straight-up fast food). I just got a waffle and cheese hash browns, and the hubby got a waffle and a scrambled eggs and hash browns plate. It was just what we were craving and we liked it fine. The interior is typical Waffle House, nothing out of the ordinary and reasonably clean (didn't get a chance to use the restroom so can't way what that was like). We did spy the TouchTunes jukebox, which I don't think I saw at their Atlanta location. I had some leftover credits I got at a bar in Long Beach and was able to spend them here, which was fun. Service was ok--we got to put in our orders and got our food in a timely fashion but when we got our bill there was some confusion about the amount--we were way undercharged. Our waitress had stepped out so we had to get another person to look at it and finally figured it out but it was a bit of a hassle. Overall, a satisfactory visit; if I'm ever in the area again and need to visit a Waffle House I wouldn't hesitate to return."
"BBD... aka Black Bear Diner.. such a cozy spot that reminds me of GoldiLocks and the three bears... except this bear theme is originating from Nor'Cal. Hence the theme of alll the northern trees and Nor'Cal Diner Vibes.. and yes.. some of my favorite diners are in California (my HomeState). On with the food. This spot has been tucked away within the land of Sugar since 2019.. I've been visiting since then and have always enjoyed the grub at BBD. Albeit, their are some days when the foods perfectly on par, and then on some days when its just okay. Within my most recent visit... lines were out the door, frigid air was kickin' in and groups of folks were simmering within the cozy diner. Thankfully a group of us were seated promptly and found good seats closer to the entrance. Due to the fact they were busy.. it seemed the food was just okay this time. I ordered a beef patty melt with fries and coleslaw. Fries were blonde in color, cold, and such few. Patty melt was okay. Pancakes were warm and tender as they typically are. With such a huge crowd on the weekends, food can be subpar at times. Other than that, I have always appreciated BBD's expansive menu. Their hot chocolate is sweet, warm and creamy, and their desserts are quite nice as well. Savory hot items such as their omelets and other sandwiches are typically good. Dining experience and service? Great. BBD has a nostalgic, woodsy, Nor'Cal feel that will make any nature enthusiast appreciative of their whimsical theme of all things bears and forests. They even sell a few bear plushies, socks, and all cuddlesy stuff at the front (where you pay). Service has always been warm and appreciative. Servers almost always check up on you. Though, they ought to put table numbers or order numbers on the table. At least twice during the weekend rush they brought out wrong food orders to our table. All in all, this is a spot that many cherish. Perf for families, friends and groups of folk that wanna chat over coffee, pancakes and all the sweeter things in life. Until next time!"
