"Haven't been out to a spanish club in some time and it took a lot of searching before my friends and I decided on this place. I'll be frank, totally thought it was going to be some ronchie, ghetto ass club. Turns out, it's quite nice. The music was wonderful! I love the mix of all type if music. I adore salsa and merengue, while my friends are more into bachata, so neither of us were disappointed. Only down part is that the it's cash only, but they do have ATM, so that's convenient. They even had a Gogo dance, Weta you're amazing! Over all really nice place to go and have fun with friends. Definitely will be coming back again ;)."
"I'm surprised to hear all of these horror stories in getting in! I went with 2 of my girlfriends and a guy friend. We were a diverse group: I'm asian, a white girl and guy, and my other girlfriend is mixed with iranian/mexican. The guys at the door just checked our id's and let us in with no problem. It was our friend's birthday that night and she did have a table. It was pretty dead around 1030 but quickly got filled up by midnight. I'm super happy that they have hypnotic here! The night went well and their music was great. I wouldn't mind coming back despite the negative feedback..."
"I visited a friend in Humble TX for a couple days and he took me to the Stampede. It is like I walked into the cinematic version of every line dancing bar movie ever made. It was fantastic. Everyone was so cool and non judgmental. I am from NY and have never experienced such a positive vibe at a "nightclub". I have been to regular night clubs all over the US and this is hands down the best experience I had. Sure it was my first..but it is like they say you never forget your first."
"South Beach epitomizes "gay dance club." You've got: multiple levels, a laser light show, black lights, free glow in the dark necklaces, hot oiled-up bods in tighty whities and sneakers dancing on blocks, cutie bartenders (some straight), insanely loud music with DJs from across the country ... and restroom signs that say, "one person per stall." Holla.I've never been to South Beach in Florida, but I can only assume this club is as wild as the town gets. The last time I came here with my (straight) friend Tony, it was because his cousin (also straight) was working the bar, and I'm not one to deny free drinks--they just taste better. It was Thursday's Noche Latina Uncut, and a DJ from Miami was brought into town (The music was so good, I later snagged a cd from him.) After a few shots of "Sex on the South Beach," we made way to the packed dance floor where there was every type of person: gays, straights, transvestites, the "confused," thugs, hipsters, body builders, ladies and more. When things got too hot, South Beach unleashes the Liquid Ice Jets which instantly drop the temp 20 degrees; you literally can't see the person in front--or behind--you when that happens, so watch out!I happened to find myself dancing with a French male flight attendant from Canada (not kidding) who claimed to be gay, but after a few sneaked in feelskies, I realized this wasn't true--that or he was just messing with me. Biting my bum was the last straw and I quickly turned to him, pointed my finger and scolded: "No! You are not gay!" and stormed off. Ahh, anything can happen at South Beach.Besides the way I've seen management treat their staff, my only complaint is that they almost always have a cover, ranging from $10-$20. For a gal who can certainly ring up a bar tab, I'm not a fan of covers. However, they're open super late night (think 5am), so they gotta make their extra dough somehow. For those who are wondering, the dress code allows "anything from underwear and up," so enjoy the sea of eye candy."
"Despite the bad things I heard from people, I actually like this club! It's a fun, upbeat Hispanic vibe! They play a lot of Latino music like reggaeton, bachata, and merengue etc. I came here on a Friday with some friends & I like it! They also serve hookah here as well. I'd come back"
"Horrible bar operations. Went on a Saturday night. 1) Walked into the club and looked up above the person collecting money to see a drink special sign. Go to bar to order and order from the sign. Gets first tab and prices were not correct. Bartender goes to look at the sign and comes back to simply say that's not for tonight, that's from Wednesday. Night. I paid the higher prices and went on about my dancing. 2) Went to a different bar and bartender and ordered another round of drinks. Ordered a Crown and Ginger and definitely was not ginger ale and had a hint of tequila. I went back to the bar and asked if he could remake it and he did. ($10 drink should be made correctly). 3) Drinking that drink and dancing, then I pull a piece of a broken glass through my straw and luckily felt it with my tongue and didn't swallow it. Took it to the bartender and he got the manager... he offered me something free. I said the only thing I would probably want is a beer so it doesn't come from the ice in the bar well that had broken glass in it. Still charged fully from that bartender when I closed out. Obviously was not going to order another drink from that bar well. 4) Ordered 1 last drink because I thought the bar closed at 2 when it actually closed at 3 and they continued serving alcohol beyond 2. I ordered 2 well vodka sodas and after I waited 15 minutes, he comes with the credit card bill and it was $24. In summary, drink prices vary from bar to bar and time to time. Manager advised prices go up after 2am haha. Music was pretty good and dancing with fun, shame bar operations are not the same."
"One night, we decided to bar hop. And we ended up stopping by this place, It was amazing. The staff is so wattentive and nice. The environment was welcoming. I would definitely be stopping by there again. It also helped having 2 food trucks in the parking lot."
"When I saw their website, I figured they used the same web page for both clubs but that they were far apart from each other. Turns out, they're right next to each other. 2006 is to the right of 2001. There are two dance floors, two levels on each side of the club. The dance floor to the left plays music in English, it's the first to fill up and it gets full. The dance floor on the right plays music in Spanish. Rap, bachata, salsa, merengue, and punta are some of the music genres played in Spanish at 2006.Given that it was the Friday before 4th of July. They were handing out glow sticks with patriotic colors. People were so creative with them. Some turned them into bracelets, anklets, necklaces, halos, belts, and some just swung them around for fun. I ordered a pina colada. A red syrup was placed at the bottom and along the shaft of the glass, before the pina colada was poured in. It was topped off with three tasty cherries. It set me back about 7 bucks.I had a blast dancing with friends. In between dancing, we watched others dance and we chatted amongst ourselves. I played with the escapade matches on our table, the best friend joined in. We disposed of them in the ashtray. At one point, a white light was turned on. It was as if the papparazi has entered the dance floor. A bright light would turn on, light a flash light, every .5 seconds over the dance floors for 30 seconds. It was cool but bright. The dance floor on the left has a circle of flat screen TVs, playing music videos. Every now in then you see female dancers. I figure they were patrons, rather than go go dancers. The crowd was 20-30 something, fashion-forward and nice. It was a great experience overall. We headed out about 1:00am, before the crowds headed out. Though I was initially reluctant to going out, I gave into my best guy friend's invite to Escapade 2006. I've never been to a foam party; I'd like to come back for one of those nights."
"Julie is running a great business, legit one of the last remaining lesbian bars! We were there recently after a very long time of not going anywhere and now being fully vaccinated. Great outdoor space! Great place for Saturday night or Sunday Funday! Clean environment great bar staff, and a lot of fun. Weeknight dinner specials too. Casual environment."
"It's #s! Best Night Club in Houston...in the Universe. Great for concerts. Friday night...still the place to be. Great bar drinks, drink specials, and selection. DJ Wes is everything. Get your friends and just go. GO! Parking is tricky. DO NOT Park on Avondale. Uber or Lyft are your friend. Party on!"
"A group of us came here three years ago for drinks and some funky dancing to a great mix of music! It was number two out of three bars we went to in Downtown Houston and we had so much fun dancing on there stage away from the bar! This place is a must visit if you want to dance the night away and you appreciate a good mix of music, real music. We came on our bar hop for New Years Eve three years ago. It was early in the night so when we arrived it was mildly packed. My friends and I ordered some drinks that I don't remember the names but they were not that strong. I remember they were pretty bland. However, the main objective was to dance and have fun and that we surely did! They have a lot of space for dancing, even a stage with a mirror to watch yourself as you're getting down lol.Fun place! I may go this New Years Eve!!!"
"Love the dance lessons offered at no cost and drinks are good as well.,, definitely will be going back"

I've been here twice in the past before (one of those times was for my birthday) and I always have a good time! I like how they play a variety of music and how it isn't overly packed. There is actually enough room to move around without a bunch of people being all over you. The VIP area is free and it comes with a free bottle, you just have to call and reserve. The club in my opinion isn't trashy at all and drinks are very affordable. The only thing though is that they don't take credit, just cash. But other than that, it's a pretty neat place and I would definitely return again! I also got a shout out for my birthday so that was neat!

First time here since it was renamed Sampede. Came out to celebrate a birthday and the place accommodated 10 of us. There was never a dull moment and kids didn't get board. There is also a mechanical bull. Enterance for ladies that night was free before 11pm or free if you wore Astros gear. Ages 18 and up welcomed. There is a food tent as well and cards are accepted. The layout was pretty cool, clean and kept kids entertained. All generes were played but mostly country. It was a fun night.

Looking for a great gay club? This is it. The space is large, the bars are plenty, the music's bumpin, the people are fun and friendly. There's a lot of male eye candy for anyone who's interested, and periodic drag performers. We had a fun time dancing ourselves silly. But who's the only 37 year old girl that gets hit on by a 28 year old straight guy at a gay bar? This girl. Awkward!! Parking can be a PAIN around the area, but they do have $7 valet :P

In town for the holidays and we wanted to go to a club on a Sunday night... well this place did not disappoint!!! Not sure why all the bad reviews honestly because I had the time of my life! Not sure if it was Latin night on Sundays or what but that's the only music they were playing!! It was four of us and we danced all night. We arrived around 11 and it was pretty empty but the vibe was still there.. had a couple of drinks and next thing you know around 12ish it was a decent amount of people there, and around 1 it was packed!!!! The drink prices were very reasonable. I'm used to the Vegas prices and so when the bartenders said about $30 for 4 drinks I was like WOW!!! Yes!!!! Also, no cover charge!! If you're in town or live here this place is definitely worth to explore!! I'm pretty sure it gets better on Friday or Saturdays!!

If I could give this a negative one I definitely would' this bartender decided to give me drinks in the tiniest water cups and charged me like 3$ so I was fine with that. At the end of the night I bought three drinks only and came out to 30$! Like who does that? Super Lame, this is the only bar I've been to who tries to get away with stuff like this' because it's crowded and is mainly spanish speakers. Shut this place down so grimy! It never changed one bit after years of me not going. Don't Trust these Bartenders!

If you are looking for a different experience on 20th street, look no more. Tokyo Joe's is a very different bar. I do have to warn you, it feels very small, but the place is very fun inside. It has arcades upstairs (just a handfull of games), a automatronic dragon head on one side of the room and I remember they had a ping pong table there one time with above average size beer pong game (which honestly got a bit chaotic). The drinks are above average and the price is fair.

So much fun! All types of Latino dances like Bachata, Merengue, Zapateado, etc & mixes. There's about 4 clubs in one here. Different sections you can attend. It's unique and I like different scenes. I'd come here again for sure!
Visit Restaurant Page"We had a blast. Loads of fun! We were at Base for a specific one time event. Three DJs, one silent dance floor, headphones for dancing to our hearts desire. All five of us left delighted at the new experience and would do it again. The layout of the underground club was great, the lighting was lit, but we asked for Tito's vodka yet we were served local vodka. Tell me you don't have it. I actually like the exit sign with the secret door. Both ways in and out its tricky but the staff helps. We got to take the elevator down but upon our exit we were directed to the stairs. I look like I could use the excercise, but I had 3 bottles of wine, vodka on the rocks, and beer. Accident waiting to happen."
"I love coming to this bar/lounge and have been coming ever since they first opened a few years ago. Bauhaus is located downtown near the Toyota Center and down the street from Spire. They bring a lot of great DJs to play at their venue as well as other amazing local DJs to spin tunes and keep you dancing all night long. They have 3 different bar areas, an upstairs as well as downstairs bathroom, and also and outdoor patio area if you're looking for a chiller vibe. I also love that they carry my favorite tequila brands as Cle does not. I've said it before it's very easy to lose track of time here especially when you're having fun. Everyone is welcome although it may not be for everyone's taste and that's okay. I guarantee you will meet some fun new friends because the vibes are always right! They also have a kitchen you can order food from to eat in the lounge or on the patio. They were one of the first bars in the area to open up during Covid following all the safety guidelines. If you want a hip place to go with beautiful people you should come check them out!"
"PROS: This places is nice inside. Nicely decorated, plenty of seating and lots of VIP areas. Great sound system and drinks are not watered down.CONS: OMG! Anyplace that you got to that wants to pat you down before you enter, should tell you right then what you are about to walk into. I knew then, I should have just turned around. And don't let any online ads fool you, there IS a cover charge to get in and if you don't have cash, they will escort you to the bar to pay your 10 bucks cover via card. But I still couldn't shake off the fact that I had to get patted down to enter. And low and behold...this place was thug paradise. So the dress code for guys are NOT enforced. And what really got my attention was there where actually really nice sexy ladies there, BUT...they where all dancing alone. There is a loud chick with a backpack on stage yelling at everyone to party and like...nobody is paying any attention to her. Somebody please sit her down. This place looks too nice for all that. A hype person is not required in any good club. You will never see nothing like that at Drinks. All you hear is her screaming over the music.Be far warned, they play nothing but HIP HOP. Period. Don't get me wrong...I do like hip hop... but every successful dance club in Houston has played mixed music. Not just hip hop. So with that.. enter a ton of thugs who refuse to asked ladies to dance but rather just stand around the dance floor. So needless to say...when I left the club, I told the bouncer, this place must be a gay club cause I don't understand why all the men where afraid to ask women to dance. I will not return here because I prefer more variety in my night spots. Sad because the place is very very nice inside, but I'm not feeling the pat me down at the door mess. That tells me right there that something is bound to happen in the club or in the parking lot afterwards."
"Good Addition to the Northside. Good Atmosphere with plenty of space. Curvaceous waitresses. Pros: HookahBar Clean restrooms DJHip hip Space for everyone to do their own things Food Free parking Cons: NoneDJ should play more to the audience"
"Look. I had an absolute blast. Much thanks to my late night yelp buddy Austin J. When I walked in a little after 11pm there were a few seats at the bar. Nice seats with backs!! But what is that DJ playing? Hard core hip hop and 90% of the crowd was 30s with a few others older/younger in between. I was going to leave after one drink but then the DJ obviously got a clue and realized his crowd was older. He played a few old school hip hop sets then switch to reggae which was cool. So people actually got up and danced. He finally kind of got it. Free buffet from 5-9pm on Friday with half price drinks. Buffet was still out when I got there. Ice cold but free so no complaint. Probably 6 to 8 food items. Bartenders were surprisingly friendly and the drinks were strong. After two mixed drinks and a beer I was done. And how about another place where people dance. It was great to see. The DJ needs to work on his thing. He was switching songs as soon as the crowd got into it, he would switch from hip hop to freaking Latino music. Wtf! He dont know how to mix music at all. Small patio out front. Once it catches on, it is going to be packed. I did not care for the hookah inside. Take that ish outdoors please. But looks like this place will be a good time. Come now while it's not too crowded"
"Late nights looking for food led me here. The place is perfect for any day of the week. The drinks are strong, the food is good and the people are friendly. There aren't many places like this around and it must be protected. Anytime I'm in the area I will be sure to stop by and partake. Also make sure to ask if Jamie is working."
"It's hard to beat 2 dollar well drinks for Ladies' night on Wednesday, they also have karaoke. It does have a neighborhood bar feel to it. Everyone seems to know everyone, but they all are quite nice. The karaoke had a decent selection and sometimes do double rounds which I hadn't really seen done before. All and all, I would probably go back."
"First off to start, when I reached out to Conejo Malo via IG DM to reserve a section they took a while to reply. They eventually told me prices and I booked a section for my bday. Well the week of I didn't hear from them to confirm so I reached out and seems like they never got my info down because they asked all over again. Come day of, we arrived at the bar and the entrance people couldn't find my reservation. The waitress told me they didn't have me down and I showed her all the DM's and said people who book from IG are different ( had no clue what that meant) anywho, she figured something out and got us a section. Once there it was chill. AC was on full blast so it did get chilly. We loved the pic props and music was good! However, the issue started again when they were sending different waitress that had no idea what and how to charge us. Apparently they tried telling us some stuff didn't count towards minimum which according to the promoter was and then towards the end they tried moving us because we "didn't" meet the minimum which we very well had. We didn't get any sort of receipt to see what all was on the tab. However we only paid for our bottle because they were so unorganized about handling sections. Maybe next time they need to have only a specific waitress tend sections because all the ones we dealt with had no clue."
"Always a solid place to hang out on the weekend. No drama, good music, and good people. Oh and they don't charge you an arm and a leg for drinks! Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cool. Now if you don't like people smoking around you this is NOT the place for you. But if you don't mind then this is a cool hang out."
"Love this place! So fun and the music is awesome. Everyone there is just looking to hear good music, dance a have fun. Great vibe! No food but decent drinks and great bar service."
"Lovvveee it here! They're open Thurs-Sat and play mainly Latin music but you can catch a mix of hip hop through the night. Drinks are amazing and the bottle girls are super cute!!! Def the newest and hottest Latin club in Houston!"
"Nice atmosphere here. Not to bad. It's what you'd expect in a club. Decent music. If you're a male there are a lot of single women here if you're looking. Not a bad place. I'd recommend to others if asked"
"This IS the place to be on the weekend to get your dance on. With constantly rotating DJs and styles you are bound to find a night that fits your liking. The exterior is stunning with its neon murals and sleek patio structure but once you get inside you will be blown away by the visual splendor that is a retro-wave heaven. The lights, the décor and the mini castle structure surrounding the dancefloor all add a level of detail that makes it a unique experience. When my friends and I go we meet excellent people and enjoy the whole night until 4am. Nothing but great vibes"
"Definitely better places. This place has an odd floor plan and they partially block the dance floor view if you're hanging out near the bar. They have a few booths for VIP. Charged $10 to enter on a Saturday and it was dead inside. Ridiculous to charge when no one is inside. I've been here a few times and while it can get packed some times, I never have and never will like the way the place is laid out. This tends to be more of a Latin club but they mix hip hop in and rarely any kind of edm. I think there are better places to go. Id go back with friends but this is not a good place to hang out by yourself."
"Great fun place to go country dancing. Drinks are generous pours, ambience is tons of fun, and they didn't charge my brother-in-law and I the cover charge because we're military veterans. How awesome is that! I've been here twice and have enjoyed this place so much. Awesome taco truck across the parking lot for after! Can't wait to go back."
"This place is for real. Chill vibe, Clean, good crowd. Good prices, good flavors, this guy knows what he is doing."
"Best Regards is going to be our new favorite spot to go to! Everything about this bar is attractive and welcoming. The greenery is a beautiful touch and really makes it feel like a secret garden that you can grabs drinks and relax at. Even though we went on a Wednesday, they were pretty busy (they JUST opened) and the music was on point for the couple of hours we were there.Their service is top notch. Our server walked through the menus and gave some popular suggestions and they had our drinks out in a flash. They really make every table feel like their ordered bottle service! The cocktails and Spanish Charcuterie board were delicious. Unlike other places that make it seem like you board is a lunchable, their charcuterie board actually filled us up without being too much."
"Crazy night with too much drinking. I like the place, lots of sex in the air, good drinks, and good vibes. They knew how to make a clasic, so i'm good. Lots of dancing but people dont dress up much these days."
"We've been coming here on Friday nights each week, and let me tell you we fell in love with the place. The music is great, they have two rooms one is karaoke and one is for dancing. Friday nights is Latin night and also gay night. It's straight country nights the rest of the week; they even have line dancing lessons I believe in Thursday's."
"I'm not going to lie this place is HOT. It's the new IT place to be.But what comes with being the new kid on the block? The bouncer. Expect to know someone unless you're a hot girl. If that's you, no prob. Fun time, IF you can get in."
"Background: My group of 3 went on NYE (1 girl, 2 guys). We bought our tickets 2 days before NYE for 40 dollars. They advertised it as 007 themed and they have a dress code. 1. Dress code:I went with a short black dress with converse (caused I didn't wanna kill my feet with heels ). The guys wore collared shirts and jeans with business sports casual shoes. We were let in without trouble. There were a few people by the door that were asked to change because they had t-shirts on. But I saw one guy inside with a T-shirt on (maybe he know someone here ).2. Drinks:12 dollars each. But the drinks are super super diluted... I guess upside is your wallet won't hurt if you tryna buy a girl (or a guy) a drink. 3. Environment:We arrived around 11:00PM. And the place was dead... I'm not sure if it's just because of COVID or if people were just arriving later. If you don't have a table and wanna rest your feet, you can sit anywhere outside by the pool area. The inside got more packed near midnight and the vibe was alright. There are quite a few spots that are good for photos, so definitely take advantage! I didn't use the bathroom, but the guys said th bathroom was smelly... 4. Performance:All the staffs are HOT! The dancers are amazing! The DJ was pretty good. 5. Discriminative? The groups inside the club seems pretty diverse to me. I wasn't made aware of it during my time there. My husband and I are Asian, and our friend is white. So make of that what you will. There's also a few things I won't be able to provide any insights on and you might want to consider: purse storage, re-entry fee, table price..."
