"This a great place to meet and have adult beverages. They have a beautiful room with a large fireplace burning real wood. It was nice to be near it when the weather was cold. There is also a beautiful patio overlooking the vineyard to sit outside and enjoy the view. The bar serves wine and bubbly. They don't do cocktails but they do have a good selection of brown water to choose from. If you get hungry they do have a charcuterie and delicious Neapolitan style pizza to name a few things from the menu."
"Very nice, winery in the country. Wine and food were great! Off the highway a few miles so nice and quiet. Owners very nice and helpful, prices were good also."
"Checked out the new Bluebonnet Tasting Room yesterday for their soft opening. What a great place! Very cozy with many places to sit, inside and out, super friendly staff and a great selection of Texas wines that were quite delicious! I love the fact that they focus specifically on Texas wines and they do have some Texas beer (Paradigm Brewery) as well for those who enjoy beer!We really enjoyed being able to gather on their front patio and others seemed to be enjoying the back patio that they have as well. Lots of space in this establishment and a cute bar inside. This is a great addition to Old Town Tomball and y'all should check them out!"
"Cool new upstart in a town square setting. Live music and a interesting array of beverages to choose from. I think this place is destined for great things! Come see for yourself."
"We've stayed here for the weekend twice now and have really enjoyed ourselves. With the stay, you get breakfast, one wine tasting & tour each, and a glass of wine and cheese plate in the bar each night you stay. The Innkeeper and staff are great. The walls are a bit thin, but it doesn't seem to be a loud, party crowd. We have stayed in the Messina Room (2nd floor) and Romeo & Juliet Room (1st floor). Both were large rooms with large bathrooms and king beds. We were very happy in both, but the bed is a bit hard for me. Also, the rooms have beautiful stained glass windows over the door, but they let light in at night, which can be annoying. The breakfast has a nice spread of cheese, fruit & muffins, and an entree-there is only one choice for entree, so if you don't like what they are serving you must make do with the continental offerings. They also have coffee, juices, and mimosas. This place is beautiful and really feels like a getaway. I'm sure we will be back."
"Last weekend, my husband and I popped in the lovely DeepRoots Vineyards! The vines are young but blooming beautifully. We snacked on their infamous charcuterie board by the small pond and sipped delicious Texas wine! .The barn was spacious and perfect for all types of events. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the staff and cannot wait to return!"
"We stopped by Sixth Street Bourbon today while site seeing the town of Giddings. The owner was very welcoming and gave us a tasting of the different bourbon and vodka. He gave me tips on how to take in more of the flavors while sampling. Overall I would recommend this business. The bottles are very nice. With Christmas nearing they would make great gifts. Stop by on your way through and check them out."
"I visited here this past Saturday with my boyfriend and this is a great place for a date night. We did the wine tasting which came with four 3oz pours (cab sav, rose, sparkling wine, and a white blend). The rose and white blend were my favorites. Delonte is very knowledgeable about wine and walked us through the tasting and engaged us in what notes we were picking up, origin, etc. It's an intimate space with a sophisticated feel. It's perfect for a quiet, low key evening. I will definitely be back."
"What a beautiful venue. We went for a wedding and everything was top notch. I am not sure if this is called cowboy chic or classy barn but either way it was very comfortable, classy and inviting. If you are looking for a place for a wedding and reception with some great photo ops, take a look. you wont be disappointed."

This is such a hidden treasure! I felt like we were in an upscale wine tasting room in California when we walked in this beautiful establishment. We were greeted by an amazing sommelier (Caitlin) who was just effervescent! She made the experience extra special. They offer a nice variety of wine tastings. My husband chose Texas wines and was very pleased. I chose California which never disappoints. You could also do whiskey tasting and they have nice beers to choose from as well.We did not have any food this visit but it looked like they had some nice offerings. Something to go with the wine like pizzas and charcuterie. Next time we will dive into the food. A really nice place. We will definitely be back.

They have such a fun set up with the option of wine tasting, glasses, or bottles. The service was quick and we had a great time enjoying Texas wine there!

We tried their mead at the Texas Ren Fair and knew we needed to go try their full menu. Parking was easy enough to find, seating was plentiful, and while some of their meads were sold out, that was to be expected since we came towards the end of their business day. We even took home a bottle of the mango mead and my in laws loved it (after being really hesitant when we first described it post-fair). They don't really serve food, but they did have charcuterie boards so we tried to order one but they weren't serving them that day (I don't remember the reason). I know we'll be back because their mead makes for easy gifting!

We stayed at the Villa during the Aggie Parents Weekend and enjoyed our stay. Our second floor room was excellent - with a covered balcony that faced the woods. Sipping a glass of Messina Hof wine on the balcony and watching the rain was a great end to our day. The next morning the cardinals and blue jays were on branches almost close enough to touch as we enjoyed our coffee. Our spacious room had comfortable antiques and many of the pieces had a story that tied to the six generations of family wine masters. One thing that wasn't an antique was the flat screen tv and cable channels for plenty of sports and entertainment viewing. A couple of nice touches - the complimentary wine and cheese that we enjoyed on the patio of the winery and the breakfast buffet. Jean, the friendly hostess of the villa puts out a nice spread of sweetbreads, fruit and a home cooked hot entree. We had Sunday brunch at the restaurant on the property. I won't review it here except to say that you won't be disappointed if you eat there. If you spend any time on the property you will meet the owners Merrill and Paul who definitely will make you feel welcome. And don't miss the winery tour - also complimentary for guests of the Villa. This is a great and relaxing place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Finally managed to make a visit here after passing it countless times on road trips via the new SH249 stretch. DeepRoots is both your typical regional "winery" -- and not. It has all the usual characteristics: show grapevines, wines made elsewhere, live music, etc. But it is also different -- more of a beer hall vibe (that's a compliment), lower on the Snooty Scale (and I'm not anti-Snooty -- just giving you a feel for the place). Everyone at DeepRoots was very friendly. We had reserved a table (not necessary if you get there somewhat early), so the onboarding process was easy. Our pre-ordered food wasn't ready when we arrived, but was ready shortly afterward. Caesar salad was so-so, and a brisket sandwich fared somewhat better -- given the newness of this place, it all met expectations. DeepRoots offers a decent wine selection -- I'm often disappointed in the reds choices at these sorts of wineries, but DR had a decent syrah at the dark end of the spectrum to make me smile. They also had a few beers on tap, including Yellow Rose, so extra points for that and the frozen winearitas, useful during the worst of summer.Enjoyed a fun live music show -- the available indoor seating will make this tolerable through the worst of summer. As with similar places, you WILL drop some money here -- you're paying for the experience as much as the food and drink. And be warned -- the entrance/exit onto a single-lane 249 could be harrowing. They've going to have to address this somehow. I didn't see if the entrance via FM1774 is still open -- if so, I'd recommend using that one.Overall, a great experience -- we'll likely be back...

"I stopped in on one of my day trips and this place did not disappoint. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They make all locally sourced rum that's been on their family since 1884. This can't be bought in stores only here at the distillery. They are only open seasonally so make sure you come out and have a drink under some majestic oaks!"
"In the enchanting Texas hills, a sanctuary of opulence awaited my presence--a luxury winery unlike any other in Texas. The symphony of flavors that graced my lips, the culinary delights that danced on my palate, and the ambiance that enveloped me in its embrace were nothing short of extraordinary. The vineyard's splendor unfurled before me, a tapestry of beauty and serenity, inviting a tranquil escape. If you love wine and a great wine experience, this is a must visit."
"Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar is located just a block northeast of Hwy 6 in Missouri City. This cozy little wine bar is like a home away from home. It's the perfect place to enjoy a Save & Exit glass of wine and good eats with family and friends.Off the Vine Bistro is family owned - and that is very clear the moment you walk through the door. Every time I visit, I am always greeted with a large smile and welcoming conversation. I highly recommend you ask your server to find out what they recommend pairing with your vittles. They will not steer you wrong. And that's a fact! You'll always find scratch cooking here at Off the Vine Bistro. Their home-grown spices, along with locally-sourced and produced food, are the perfect recipe for a delightful dish. If you like fresh, then you need to come and see what fresh tastes like. For real!Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar is so much more than a place to get a wonderful meal - they also offer cooking classes and wine-paired dinners once a month. I like that!If you are looking for a place to kick back and finish off your week, their Sunday Brunch has healthy, flavorful options with carefully-selected ingredients for palates with food restrictions and allergies. This is definitely a designation for those who need to pay attention to what they eat.If you love live music, then I am about to add another layer to this cake. They have live music every Saturday night - brought to you by local community performers in a variety of different genres: jazz, rock 'n roll and pop covers. A good time to be had by all! Now, if you have been following me for any length of time, then you know I can't visit a wine bar without ordering up a Charcuterie & Cheese Board... it would just be sacrilegious! Right? So, that is exactly what I did! Our gracious server paired this piece of art with a Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara - one of my favorites with a beautiful floral and mineral character typical of Santa Barbara Pinot Noir. I instantly had a smile from ear to ear!The Hangover Fries caught my attention as I was thinking about all the pairing I'd be doing that evening. Maybe I should just take them to go... tomorrow would be coming waaay to soon! Ha!The House Chips were piled high with onions, tomato, cilantro, grated cheese, sour cream and grilled chicken - the perfect medicine for a sour stomach after a long night of leisure and laughter. The combination of flavors is something else! The menu is all so good, but you gotta try these potato sticks with a blanket of naturally-sourced love! The Appetizer Sampler Plate is another must-try here at Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar. You get to pick any 4 appetizers (half portions). We chose the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp (of course), Lettuce Wraps, Spiced Meatballs and Mama's Spiced Chicken Bites. Wow! The spread was beautiful. I thought I would try a selection of apps and then I'd know exactly what to order the next time around- turned out I wasn't any better off than I was when I started. Everything was just so good! I think I will just have to order the sampler again. I suggest you do the same.Another favorite of mine is the Summer Sausage Flatbread. This flat bread was carefully crafted with Summer Sausage slices, cheese, apples, onions and fennel. This sandwich is a great option if you are looking for something light. You get a mouthful of crispy crust in the first bite and then you taste the sausage, cheese and apple combination that just pulls it all together. Now, I have a soft spot for a nice Cuban Sandwich, so when I noticed it on the menu I had to try it. This pressed sandwich was covered with smoked ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles. We cut it up to share with the group, but I figured out right away that this was a mistake; I have been thinking about that outstanding sandwich ever since. The mustard and pickles gave that excellent accent to the smokiness in the ham. This sandwich might be my favorite of the day... it's just too hard to say. But, do try! And, just when I thought I couldn't eat another bite, two desserts showed up! Not a surprise... my friends have just as big a sweet tooth as I do. I never turn down a sweet, sweet, decadent dessert - don't ya know?My love of Chocolate Cake started as an infant. My first cake was a Triple-Decker Chocolate Castle. I gotta say, this dark hunk of sweetness brought me back to when times were a little simpler. This Chocolate Cake slice with Chocolate Filling and Chocolate Ganache took me to chocolate heaven! What an Ahhmazing experience here at Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar. You walk in as a customer and leave as a part of the family. Don't be shy to ask the owner Namita about her spices and recipes - she has a wealth of knowledge and is eager to share. I am so happy I found this little gem in in Missouri City... and even happier that I can share it with you! Enjoy!"
"Fantastic establishment! Intimate atmosphere. The owners are awesome and a great family history story with the land they're on. Their meat and cheese plate is worth the trip alone! Fantastic merlot as well. Can't wait to come back!"
"Where do I start? The mead, the atmosphere, the employees... All amazing! Derek and the rest of the staff are some of the coolest, most knowledgeable guys I've ever spoken to. They'll gladly tell you about how/where they select the specific types of honey they use for their mead, as well as the overall process.I first heard about Celtic Cross way back when they initially opened shop, and I remember thinking how cool it was that we had a legit meadery in League City. I tried their very first mead and thought it was outstanding. Since then, they've branched out and now have a wide variety of meads to choose from.Even better, they now have a really cool and intimate taproom where you can hang out and try their various meads, cakes (amazing, btw), and their surprisingly good charcuterie board. They encourage you to bring board games to play while enjoying the mead, and even have several available for you to use. It's seriously rare to find a hidden gem like this, where it's extremely obvious that the owners enjoy what they do. There's no doubt in my mind that they are going to majorly take off in the future and it will be cool to say I knew them back when they were small. To Derek and the rest of the crew, keep doing what you're doing. You seriously have something special going, and your awesome personalities are going to ensure that Celtic Cross keeps growing and gathers a following."
"A gem! I thought it would be like postino or tasting room. It's bright, spacious, elegant and has a pretty patio area too. Service was exceptional. Everyone including the chef went above and beyond. Best I've had in a very long time. The Prosecco bottle was delicious. And don't miss the harvest platter! Divine for veggies but non-veggie girls loved it too. Friends loved their paella and they could literally watch it being made. Menu is very sophisticated and diverse. It goes way beyond meats and cheeses. The desserts are excellent and I don't even like sweets! I don't usually care for crème brûlée but it was divine. Maybe I've come around! Also, not a lot if parking but I was able to find some on a Sunday afternoon. They have valet too."
"Nice little escape from the Houston city life with just a hour and 15 min drive. The building and inside is very beautiful and well decorated. All the people that work there are all so pleasant and friendly. We got the summer night flight and chapelton flight. Both had very good wine selection. The cheese board was also very good. I would say it needed more crackers but all over great! We ended up getting a membership!"
"I wanted to love this store after hearing it hyped up...but it's pretty meh. The two women behind the counter could have used a bottle or two of wine to loosen up their RBF they had going that made both myself and some of the other patrons feel a little unwelcome. Cute decor items, but the markup is extreme after looking up several of the items online. The clothes are extremely "junk gypsy" style with a limited range of styles: peasant blouses, long skirts and button downs..and several styles of western style boots. They are also a Jon Hart dealer, but it was sort of shoved in a corner.I was told I'd be greeted with a smile and offered wine while I shopped, another patron and her daughter thought the same...and we were all kind of left with "ummm sorry we bothered y'all by coming into your store...".The ladies should work more on customer service and kindness rather than gossiping and making pinched faces at potential customers. And why did Yelp let the owner/Owner's significant other post a 5 Star review? Not cool."
"My assistant and I had a wonderful time here!! Mechelle and Heather were both so accommodating to us. We got a tour of the entire place, which has some warm and inviting rooms to hang out and enjoy a glass of wine, or have a private party! The Italian Gourmet cheese board was so delicious!! I love that the veggies are sourced from their garden during the Summer! We did a flight that included the Peach Chardonnay, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon! I have to admit that I rarely drink sweet wines, but the Peach Chardonnay was amazing!! Tasted like I was eating a fresh, juicy peach!!They will also be distilling vodka before the end of the year, including a black cherry vodka!! Yum!This hidden gem is a must visit!!"
"This is the most relaxing place. The wines are distinctly different and delicious. The atmosphere is totally Zen."
"Beautiful! What a serene spot for some great wine. Go downtown for a stroll and pop in. See Chris, she is classy, helpful, and a great conversationalist. Try a flight or two. It's the best way to try several wines. Yes, they are all good!"
"We visited on warm day with a friend. We ordered some appetizers, sat under a sun sail outside and sipped their Super Tuscan. The setting, food and wine were wonderful. We sampled some more wines. Their dry red wines are very good, nicely balanced and well rounded. Predominantly based on Sangiovese grapes, they are akin to chiantis or Super Tuscans. Perhaps some even shared flavors with Rhone Valley wines. We signed up for the wine club and waited for our first order. We went and picked it up. Again the wines were very good, but we felt we didn't want to continue in the club. Then we discovered the catch.WARNING: Unlike most wine clubs, WSV requires a year commitment to their club. When we asked to leave the club, they initially did not respond to our emails or messages. Eventually communications was established. After some discussion, WSV agreed to end our club membership."
"A bit of a road trip but worth it! Very well landscaped and fits most needs. This vineyard has a restaurant on property, wine bar, gazebo, lodging, and an area for wine tasting. If you decide to stay by the wine bar area you can still order food- appetizers and sandwiches. Staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. We had Messina charcuterie board and it more than satisfied!"
