"Axelrad is probably one of favorite beer gardens in the city. It has been around for a minute, but is still a local favorite for many. Usually places open and is the it place to be, and then inevitably it loses it's cool at some point. Not Axelrad. Located in Midtown, it is easy to find. They have a small, free dedicated lot for the establishment, with free street parking nearby as well. On a busy night, parking can be a little bit challenging. They do offer a discount to all those who use every mode of getting here other than your own personal car. I've been here quite a few times and have never had a bad experience with the staff. They are always friendly and gave the best drink suggestions. Do not come here thinking there is alot of inside space because that is not the case here. Axelrad is all about their outside space. In all honestly, the inside has minimal seating and can feel super cramped at peak times. Most of the space takes up the line of people trying to get drinks. The bathroom situation is not ideal but I did see on a recent visit that there were bathrooms outside as well. As far as the outside space, it is one of my favorite patios. The focal point is this beautiful tree smack dab in the middle with cool neon lights on it. Then they have benches, and lots of picnic tables and hammocks all around. On a busy night, you will be hard pressed finding a spot to chill. They also have a upstairs patio with seating as well. There is also a stage that they host live bands at all the time. I love that they change up the genres of music all the time. They also have broadcast games and such as well. They have a really good draft beer selection as well. I can always find something new to try along with some of my faves. They also have a nice variety of bottled and canned items. Don't sleep on their cocktails though. They are quite delicious. As far as food goes, Luigi's Pizza is on the same plot of land. They will allow you to walk in and get pizza to bring into the beer garden. It's really a match made in heaven. More restaurants and bars should team up for ultimate combos like this. They also always have a food truck on site that rotates. I don't know why it took me this long to review somewhere I have been many times, but it seems like the people of Houston agree. This is a great spot. I will definitely be back!"
"I've been here a few times over the years. It has always been a solid experience. The bar wrapping around to both sides of the joint is clutch. The service has always been pretty fast, whether it's crowded or not. They always seem to have a different food truck or popup for food. I'm not sure I've ever seen the same crews twice, but that could be because I don't go often, and always on different days. They have a solid daily specials menu. The last time I went was whiskey $5 with premium specials at $7. Not a bad deal. Also, last I heard this place has an age restriction of 23+. I dig a bit of refinement in regards to the clientele (insert golf claps). Their drinks are basically classics. I haven't seen them have creative cocktails, or an amazing beer selection, just a solid sports bar type of menu. This place would accomodate any social or professional gathering where anyone could find something they like to drink, at a reasonable price, and a fair bit of room. My last experience was supporting a military veterans group at MD Anderson. Everyone was happy with the drinks and food. It happened to be steak night, and the steaks were great. Location-wise it is relatively central to most places. Rush hour sucks on 59 (always), but it sucks everywhere. They have a larger parking lot that always seems to be full."
"Been here a couple times for dates or for a quick beverage when I'm in the area. It's a bar that has basics such as full-bar drinks, typical bar food, inside and outside seating, a good amount of tvs, and live music on Fridays. Last time I was here, they had a live cover band consisting of a pair of aspiring musicians who played some classic 90's tunes (think 3EB, SemiSonic, STP, etc.). I think they even threw in a Spice Girls song which was a nice touch.I haven't tried any food here; just drinks. While they aren't the cheapest (who is), they do have happy hour and drink specials that have extended hours on weekends and some nights. Hard to argue with that. One of many bars in Houston, nothing special about it. Yet nothing negative. Fortunately I've always gotten solid service when I'm here unlike some of the other reviews I've read."
"I come here every time I visit clear lake shores. For this to be a yardhouse, they make some of the best martinis I've ever had in the area (but beware they don't have many martini glasses) The food is what you'd expect from a bar. The service is always fast and friendly, and the live music is always a plus!"
"Excellent all the way around. The beer is absurdly good and the food pairs well. Their pineapple/ jalapeño sour is one of the best beers in Houston. We also tried the sausage roll and meat pie. You cannot go wrong with either option."
"Lucky 19 Brewing Company is my favorite place to hang out in Huntsville. For those who don't know, they do not serve their beer inside the building you see when you arrive. Their beer is served on the patio so be mindful of the weather when planning your brewery trip. They are pretty good about updating their Instagram (@lucky19brewingcompany) if they will be closed due to weather or for an event. When in doubt, check the socials. Parking: There is very limited parking in front of the building. It is best to continue around the side of the building or to the back parking lot.The patio has plenty of options for seating. My personal favorite spot to sit is at one of their picnic tables with individual swinging seats. What a great concept! I've told so many people about these picnic tables since I first saw them at Lucky 19. Near the picnic tables, they have an area designated to lawn games for their customers to enjoy. I also love that their patio is dog friendly. With Lucky 19's close proximity to the State Park, this makes it an easy stop for lunch and a refreshing beverage after a hike with your doggo. They have an on-site food truck that serves bar type food ranging from burgers & chicken sandwiches to soft pretzels & funnel cake fries. They also have canned soft drinks & bottled water available to purchase. They have a good variety of beers on tap. If you're a beer drinker, you're sure to find something for your taste. Their Bearkat Blonde Ale seems to be the most popular, as it's a salut to the local university. But they also have light beers, hoppy beers, and darker varieties of beers available. You can buy by the glass or you can do a flight and try four different beers. If you find something you like, they also have six-packs or cases of beer you can purchase & take home. If you're in the Huntsville area & like beer and patio hangs, definitely give them a try!"
"Love love love the vibes here at night!! It was our first time here and absolutely will be back! They had live music and a car show here tonight. Very inexpensive. They have local beers and food trucks. Family and pet friendly. Just only wish there was more than one bathroom! But overall a great experience!"
"What a cool bar, with a very creative menu. I hung out with some Yelp Elites after a Yelp event. The bar groups there drink menu by drink types, so it makes it soo much easier to figure out what you want, by finding a category that suites you! Some of the Groupings: Refreshing & SpicyTropical & TikiSpirit ForwardMy favorite: Off the Beaten Path Drink- I had the Identity Criss, the bartender said this was one of her favs, I see why. I liked it alot! The spirit was mezcal. What's awesome about this place:-Swings, enjoy your cocktail on there patio. -Ample parking lot.-good vibesWill be back!"
"The cocktails and the vibe here is spot on! Indoor/outdoor seating options take WA up even further in the ranks for me! I freaking love their cocktails. The bartenders are friendly and know how to make great drinks! (Joel is my fave!) I love that they have great food options as well. I'll be a frequenter, for sure!"
"This is a fun, off the beaten track I've house in the Heights. If you are looking for a classic night out without all of the frills, this is your place! Great outdoor space as well as some parking, which is rare in this area."

Came here on a Friday for HH to celebrate a friends birthday, and hadn't been before. Have quite a few friends that have come so I knew I was excited to see what all the repeated visits from friends was all about! When I arrived, wasn't quite sure of the parking situation, but considering the area, knew that I would need to scout out a good spot. Fortunately, timing is everything, so I was able to grab someone's spot that was leaving from the parking lot when I arrived. There is also some street parking along the sides of the street where you turn in and across the street. Coming into the place, I wasn't 100% sure where to go, but if you pay close enough attention, there are signs posted. I walked in through a pizza shop area that led to the outside main area of Axlerad, and it was such a cool little spot to walk into. To the right was a main stage, ahead was was tons of seating and with tables, chairs, and hanging hammocks! Past all of that was another side of Axelrad where you could order drinks on drinks on drinks. Lots of options to choose from. Also, there was a food truck selling crawfish, another vendor selling amazing hibachi food, and then of course the pizza. Great spot for a nice day to hang outside with friends with some good food, drinks and what would soon be live music. I saw another table that brought in games, so definitely next time would like to do that, as they were having a ball. Axelrad was kind enough to hold the birthday cake in a fridge for my friend, so that was super nice of them considering they don't sell food. I will happily be back here for a good time.

Ok I love this place! 21+ only. Great sports bar, soooo many tvs. Love the outdoor space. I ordered a drink at the bar and then went to go sit outside. My drink was fine. There's plenty of heaters around. A food truck too. Tons of parking!

Watsons is another great dog friendly restaurant with a shaded outdoor space! They have dog bowls for ice water and fans with misters everywhere outdoors!I had some great fried pickles and some other seafood and sides. The food was good for the price and we were able to get comfortably full on the portions. The only thing needed to get it to a 5 star for the prices would be better service. Our drinks sat empty quite a bit of the time, which isnt fun with fried peppers and salty food.

Perfect weather to visit Okie's before the Texas heat is upon us! We visited during the afternoon and enjoyed sitting outside with our dog Charlie Boy! Our server Connie was attentive and helpful explaining the menu. Went with the Nashville Chicken and was very pleased with the selection and quality of meal. Great atmosphere and will definitely visit again soon!

Platypus Brewing company is an absolute H-town gem! A friend and I happened upon this spot on Sunday Funday, and we had a fantastic time!!! First of all, the staff were sooooo polite, down to earth, and had excellent recommendations and customer service. That's hard to come by these days, so s/o to them! Second of all, the food was amazing, we had the Sunday house special which was THE MOST AMAZING chicken Parmesan over a bed of fancy fries, which were absolutely amazing. These "fancy fries" gave "mama's fried potatoes" and that made my soul happy. We also devoured one of their flatbreads with pepperoni, crumbled sausage, and jalepeno Now let's get into the vibes.... Omg Platypus Brewing understood the assignment! There's a 21+ game room upstairs that seals the deal. You get to walk through the brewery room with the cauldrons of good stuff, go up some stairs, and there's a room with plenty of leather couches and chairs (I love that cuz fabric couches give me the heebie jeebies, but enough about me) to hurkle Durkle on (is it still hurkle durkling if you're not at home? Probably not, but it's a great place to lounge about.)They have 2 TVs, with guitar hero on one and some raspberry contraption that allowed me to play N64 Mario kart racing on the other. It was truly a gem! You can also use the TVs to stream your shows as they have firesticks on both, and we were the only ones there. Definitely gives hidden speakeasy/ sneaky link spot . I will absolutely be back!-Pheyonce

Loved the beer! I had the pale ale and hubby is an IPA guy. Nice people! Cool outdoor spot. Had a burger and brat. Dog friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you're into beer. They also fill growlers and have beer in cans. Right off I-45, easy on/off.

As many times as I've been to Wooster's, I have no clue why I've never reviewed the place. Wooster's Garden is a nice bar in the area. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available and the swings outside are a nice touch! There's ample seating and parking at this bar. I've tried a variety of drinks and I appreciate that they have happy hour. I've only ever tried the fries and the tots, but the menu is not as extensive as I'd like. Aside from that, the service is great. You'll find your favorite bartender(s) and you'll enjoy your time. Will always return!
Visit Restaurant Page"My review only takes Sunday mornings into account. We stopped by in chase don't be a good Bloody Mary. Our crew is mixed in Bloody Mary criteria. One likes a good presentation, one can drink them like Kool-Aid, and then there's me -- I show up for the snacks. When we pulled up, we weren't sure we had the right place. There really weren't cars in the parking lot and the building to the left looked like it was from the Hills Have Eyes or something. Still, our desire for munchies made us overcome and reservations - and we went in.We ordered three one for each of us. They did take a little while to come out, but when they did, for a moment the world revolved around those glasses. The drink was great - the food was great -- we could tell that each other was happy simply by eye contact. The wind just blew....that means my arm has been twisted to go back on Sunday."
"Great farm to table home-turned-restaurant. Lots of nice outdoor seating with a smaller indoor seating. Cute mismatched chairs and tables for various sized parties. Menu is unique and gets the mouth watering with unusual fresh ingredients. Menu is on the smaller side but still plenty to make the choice hard to decide. Coffees and dessert menu are plentiful. Professional servers, tasty food and nice ambiance. A little pricey for a regular stop but good for special occasions or perhaps brunch. One of those places you'll want to introduce multiple friends to."
"Why oh why did I wait so long to visit Moon Tower Inn. It is probably one of the oldest bookmarks I have on Yelp. Well, I finally pulled it from the bottom of that list and paid this place a visit. After a few cocktails nearby, we were looking for something to eat before heading home. Parking is street parking. You order your food and you have your choice of two types of outdoor seating. One under a covered patio type area or a large spacious open air patio. Both have plenty of communal type benches and tables. Customer service was great. The staff know their beers and their meat really well. Ask for suggestions and they will get you something you like. I will say, there is a wait after you order, so pack your patience. The only thing I knew about Moon Tower prior to coming was that they had great tubular meat. What I didn't know was that their selections were wild game that was totally chef'ed up. The offerings vary visit to visit, but they have the things like duck, pheasant, buffalo, pork, etc. So you pick what they call their World Famous Tubesteak and pick from a variety of their toppings. It's not your typical toppings either. It's things like sambal mayo, black pepper catsup or creole mustard for example. I got a rabbit with sambal mayo, fresh onion, feta cheese, fresh jalapeño and cilantro. I'm glad I only got one because this thing was hefty. It came on a pretzel bun that was the perfect vessel for the dog and toppings. The rabbit hot dog was absolutely delicious. It was seasoned to perfection and had that nice snap when I bit into it. It was my creation of flavors and toppings and I gotta say it was perfect. I also foolishly got a Fat Taco w/ beef thinking the hot dog wouldn't fill me up. I forced that upon myself, but it was delicious as well. I washed it all down with a Burlington Raspberry Whale Cake beer, which was a fruity cream ale. Delicious! Burgers are also an option which can be made with chicken or veggies as well. If I lived closer, I would be here atleast once a week. I can't wait to go back!"
"What a great food hall, just outside of downtown Houston! The selection of restaurants was stellar! From sushi and egg rolls to burgers and wings, smoothies and Ukrainian dishes. There was so much to choose from. Everyone offered great food and impressive service. The cleanliness of the place was impressive too. I ordered a crunchy roll from Sushi Flora, while gummy and son ordered burgers and onion rings from Peaky Grinders. The onion rings were perfect! My girls and youngest son loved the wings from Greedy Chicken. The Foreign Grill served up yummy kebabs and dumplings. I loved the Israeli salad. And the smoothies at Xica were rea good."
"First and foremost, I have to start out by asking a few hypothetical questions.. When arriving at diversion's cocktails, will you feel like this is a sketchy place? Most likely.. Will you second guess this spot because it's in the most random area of Houston? 100%, yes. Yelpers, please hear me.. we live for gems like this! Somewhat sketchy exterior unknowing what the inside holds... Well, let me tell yall somethin'.. you'll be missing out on the very experience we search for in these streets! Right when you open the door, you feel as if you are in some sort of Narnia like place because everything changes all at once from a super sketchy random building to a dim lit, amazingly boujy bar that gives an extreme sense of intimacy and class. I was so glad I didn't wear my "don't be self conchas" shirt and ripped jeans. Me and my friend immediately loved it and sat at the bar. Please note that you have to actually make reservations to sit at the bar and be hosted by the mixologist, who is super well rounded when it comes to liquor. It's so interesting because it's basically like watching scientists work with chemicals. Intricately thought out, and each drink made with a lot of passion. I started out with the monsoon. I can't even begin to describe it, but if you like that little kick of spice, I would go for it. It's not overwhelming.. more so complimenting. Then I had heavy on the hail. Somewhat set up like an old fashion, but the flavors were very subtle and also very complimenting. We didn't go for any of the super fancy ones only because they looked on the bigger side, and we still wanted to head somewhere else after. After seeing someone get a drink that lit up into flames, I definitely want to go back and experience it! Every single myxologist is super informative and knowledgeable about everything. They are all definitely masters at their craft. Prices are not cheap, but the experience is so worth it. Another hypothetical question.. would I typically recommend going into shady buildings? Probably not.. Even though now that I think about it, I do this quite often. In this case, I 100% recommend doing so. Maybe just make sure you have the right place. I'm definitely excited about coming back and trying some more awesome mixed drinks."
"I have been here a few times for dinner over the past few years. They have an awesome outside beer garden with heaters on the cool nights. There are bars on both ends so there is plenty of drink options. They have a very large selection of beers. You order and at the bar and just move to one of the tables. They have a bunch of food options and they have all been pretty good. Again you order at the bar and they just bring the food out to you. They have plenty of tvs for games and plenty of seating. Overall a great place to meet up for beers and some food. There is plenty of parking in the back in a lot. Happy hour goes until 6pm."
"Great local bar. Great for after work. Happy hour Thursday night gets really packed. Drinks are really fairly priced. Nice size patio."
"I work down the street so we just walked here. They do have a private lot across the street to park. I tried the pizza vending machine out front.... Not good. The crust was almost raw. The front patio is cute with the swings and hammock chairs. The inside is two stories with skee ball, pool tables , patio upstairs ... there's a huge back patio too. Only one bar I noticed so it'll get packed later. We came at 5pm so it was a light crowd. Huge tvs everywhere to watch games. Plenty of a variety of drinks, not just beer. I had a mixed drink. It was ok. I did enjoy the strawberry ale, the pineapple ale and the mango one. Overall great place. They do have private vendors selling food after 6pm. The tamale lady had delicious cheese jalapeño tamales. They also had someone setup a Chicano's bbq stand in the back patio. Overall GREAT place to chill casually."
"We definitely came back for Cinco de Mayo! They have nice decorations but it was raining so we all were a bit crowded underneath the patio. But it was lighting up so it wasn't too bad. I ordered the queso and chips again and got their mushroom al pastor quesadilla and it was SO good!!! This is a great spot for some good Mexican food and patio vibes!"
"This should be your next watering hole especially if your in the Eado or downtown area. The owners are super friendly and from the area. Not to far from Ninfa's or Andes. It's got a great backyard area with picnic benches, hammocks and music. You can use the blue tooth to play your music. I love bringing my dog, who enjoys lounging on the grass. Drinks are super reasonably price all day not just happy hour."
"Generous size indoor space located in east pearland, great draft beer selections, private parking lot and dog friendly that was a great place to come chill out at, owner was also very friendly and welcoming"
"I was surprised I liked almost everything. I got fatty brisket. It was pretty good. The cheddar jalepeno sausage was not too spicy. Loved it. The BBQ sauce is also good... has a balance of sweet and spicy but on the spicier side. The coleslaw was great... the potato salad was a little meh/bland. The brussel sprouts had bacon in them, but I think it's the sauce that it's swimming in that makes it taste good. The refried beans were also good. We also loved the pickles.. they're a little cucumbery still."
"Lazy Oaks is a cute little neighborhood bar tucked away in a subdivision off Gessner. They have a super cozy and relaxed atmosphere. This used to be a tiny convenient store years ago, run by an older gentleman. It's always strange going into a place after a remodel like this. They did a terrific job. They have a nice sized patio directly off the main interior. The garage It is shaded well with plenty of seating. Lazy Oaks is dog friendly, so take your pooch out for a good time too. The inside bar top is a nice size to seat you and your friends. The service is always great! I love the friendliness of all the staff. In the 4 times I have been here, I have not ever tried the food, but it looks good. Say hello to the resident cats when you stop by. They are a little timid, but very sweet."
"Some Yelp friends and I went to Pitch 25 after a YEE to continue the party and watch the Astros game. This place is very spacious. They have a large indoor area as well as a large outdoor area. Because so many people were there to watch the game, both bars were busy, but the bartenders were doing a good job of getting drinks to people. They apparently have 100 beers on tap. I never saw a menu, but it was clear that they have a ton of beer options. I had a Crawford Bock. They also have liquor if you're not in the mood for beer and they do serve bar food too. I took a few bites of some fries and they were pretty good. We ordered food before the game started, so it didn't take too long for it to be brought to the table. We had a table on the patio, but because of the number of people standing around, it was hard to see the screens. It made for a fun atmosphere though. They have arcade games, but no one was playing because everyone was there to watch the game. This is definitely a nice space to hang out with a group of friends. The restrooms were clean, but the lines were long. Parking was limited, but we found street parking not too far away. EaDo has some great bars and Pitch 25 is definitely one of them. We had a lot of fun!"
