Todd M. "Hippie dive bar. Feels like you're in someone's garage who got carried away with wall decorations. Menu specifically says don't write on the bathroom walls but everyone writes on the wall. I rarely review bar food and will skip to the drinks. Unique and interesting beer selections. Full bar. I have to say this place is actually pretty interesting and I was totally surprised. Personal drama being posted to yelp about the owner and the business kind of spooked me, but I didn't encounter any issues and everyone was cool. I would definitely go back just for the environment. Totally out of place for the area. Somehow it works."

I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala and the samosas. The curry is very flavorful with just the right amount of kick to it. The samosas are perfectly fried with the most soft filling. It pairs perfectly with the green sauce It literally melts in your mouth. Don't even get me started on the naan! Overall, I highly recommend this spot for casual dining. It can be a bit pricey, but I really think its worth the price. The service is also fantastic. I can't wait to be back!"

Rick F. "Okay I was going to wait on writing this review because when I made my first visit it was during a soft opening. Instead I will go ahead and publish this with a 4 star rating for now and update accordingly as I prepare to go back and visit again soon. I will say that Andy is loved in the community as a very pleasant restauranteur. There is no doubt that his venture into the bar industry will be as successful as Andy's Kitchen further up the street from this place. Based on my recent experience with the service and hospitality alone I can give it 4 stars even without mentioning food.On my visit they were still putting together the cocktail menu so I wasn't able to try one of their own to make them famous for. However the bartenders were nice and happy to make any drink I ordered. I was very impressed with the Old Fashion that I ordered again, again and then again. If I remember the bartenders name right then make sure to ask for Carlos if you want to try the perfect Old Fashion like I did. I was able to try the chicken fried steak which at the time was off menu on the soft opening. It was clearly hand made yet lacked a bit of seasoning but I will write that off to the training during soft opening. I will try again and update accordingly. I also tried the buffalo wings that were also off menu. They did not have them as spicy as I like mine at the time so again, I will try again to see if I can get them a bit spicier and extra crispy. The bar is very nice and the staff and guest were very friendly. They have a touch tone juke box that I enjoyed playing but at the time I was there it wasn't synced to where when you play a song that whatever was playing in the background would cease to play. I expect it to be adjusted better after the grand opening. It was a bit weird listening to 2 songs at the same time but I get it... Soft opening thing again I guess. They do also have a roster of bands that are scheduled to place there soon. I look forward to that as well as some good karaoke nights. From my understanding they intend to stay open till 2AM on weekend nights with street tacos available during those late night evenings. Totally look forward to that too as that area has been in need of a nice late night bar for years.Stay late, support local and Prosper!"

Victor H. "Sometimes when you're upon small towns such as Ganado, YELP and Open Table leads you to gems like this which may not look like much from the outside, but once you enter you're about to be amazed with a full stomach and a smile across your face.We had a team dinner here on a Thursday in mid April to unwind after a hard week's work in Ganado. Since Ganado is a bit short on quality eats, a team member suggested this place as he had been here before. Props to him for recognizing this spot as the food and drinks were excellent here. Since happy hour went until 7, we loaded up on some martinis including the lemon drop and the dirty bird. Those who ordered the lemon drop were buzzing about the flavor and sweetness as it reminded them of their younger days when we all loved any alcohol with sweetness. While I was tempted to give into the peer pressure and order the same, I went with the dirty bird martini to keep it simple. The blue-cheese stuffed olive was a nice touch to the drink since I love olives in my martini. Shaken, not stirred obviously. Each of us ordered entrees which had huge portions and tasty profiles. Deciding between the salmon and catfish supreme, I went with the salmon while the team member who knew this spot got the catfish supreme. While my salmon was delicious with the butter sauce and perfectly cooked veggies, I felt envious of his dish as the catfish looked fried to perfection with the smothered crawfish etoufee on top and rice pilaf/grilled veggie sides. I recall before we started eating, he mentioned he wished he had my salmon instead of his dish. But then we took our first few bites and realized we were happy with what we ordered. Another guy ordered the sliced steak sandwich which came with a dipping gravy; the bread of the sandwich had great texture and held the sandwich well. The other two members ordered the shrimp fettucini alfredo and the chicken primavera. The alfredo smelled amazing and the large char shrimp had us oo'ing and ahh'ing when the plate was placed in front of him. After eating, he mentioned he wishes his wife could make an alfredo like that; but we'll keep that secret between us. The chicken primavera had a melted jack cheese with veggies mixed in and a white wine sauce that was devoured. The guy who ordered it used to work in the restaurant industry and was very complimentary of the dish as something he would order again. We were happy and full after eating. Couldn't believe that a restaurant like this existed in El Campo. I would definitely go out of my way in Houston to drive all the way here to eat here again since the food and drinks were awesome and the atmosphere gave me a western saloon vibe with a modern feel. You can bet that the next time we have an assignment in Ganado or Victoria, we're gonna be back here eating and drinking our stresses away!"

Merry began with calamari that was very crisp, tender and a little spicy. The kids had miso soup and Philadelphia rolls. Both were tasty and fresh. My 8 year old called his roll perfect. They also tried a Japanese soda that was new to us; it was fun and tasty for them. My husband had The Crazy Irishman roll and it was SO good. As someone who doesn't generally even like fried oysters, I'd order it myself! (Fried oysters being a main ingredient) I tried the In the Navy roll. I stepped outside my normAnd tried this roll that has 2 types of fish on top. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was amazing. It was so fresh with a great balance of flavors. Katlyn K. "My husband loves Chili's. Other than the Dip Trio (good chips and guac), and the fried pickles (because I love pickles in general, especially fried), I am not a huge fan, but any day that he gets to order his beloved Triple Dipper for take out with Chicken Crispers, Southwestern Eggrolls, and Boneless Buffalo Wings, is a good day to him. Recently we ordered from this particular Chili's and just were not fully satisfied. The guacamole lacked salt, and they did not include any of the dipping sauces for the Triple Dipper, which just seemed kind of sad without its dipping cups. Since there are not very many Chili's to choose from in the area I'm sure that we will continue to order from this one, but hopefully next time the seasoning and the presentation will be a little more impressive. My mom ordered the ceviche which was much larger than other places I've seen her order it. My dad has a combo plate. He seemed satisfied with it. The service was okay too, they were informative and the food didn't take forever to come out. There was also good music playing. I ordered the crab cake and trash can brisket nachos. The nachos don't come with a lot of toppings and meat is dry. The table next to us hardly finished their food and said to not get the nachos but we had already ordered. Ours followed suite to what they said. If you're debating the nachos I would advise against it. The crab cake on the other hand was delicious. It's an appetizer so it's just the single crab cake. Lauri B. "6/24/2023: This is the kinda place you wish you could give more than 5 stars! Outstanding Texas friendly venue! It's on a large piece of historic property surrounded by beautiful trees; one is 5 centuries old! We met the owner. He gave us the background (you can read about it on their website). We went for an Elvis tribute concert (Kraig Parker) and though we've had temperatures in the 100s, it wasn't too bad. They have large fans and the seating area is completely shaded due to the positioning. It is not covered, but it is shaded. So, if it's raining, it would not be an ideal place to be. We ate dinner first inside the restaurant. It smelled amazing upon entering. That Texas barbecue smell! There's a cute little gift shop inside with fun merchandise. We were seated within 2 minutes. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine each, then we had the brisket grilled cheese, pulled pork sandwich, fried okra and jalapeño creamed corn. Everything was fantastic! Our waitress, Chloe, took excellent care of us. We split the items so we could try as much as possible. $75 (after tip) for our meal. I was expecting our dinner to be a lot more expensive. The outside concert area is dog friendly, there's a dance floor off the seating area, they have a large outdoor bar and there are air conditioned restrooms outside. The owner introduced the artist after thanking our military and first responders. Then he led us in prayer. I was so touched by this experience. I loved that we prayed and everyone stood plus removed their hats. Very Country and made me proud to be a Texan of the great United States of America! The drink prices are great. 5 wines between the 2 of us and our total was only $48 (after tip), The concert prices are great too - $35 per ticket. Parking is very convenient and directly by the seating area. You don't have to worry about anything happening with it so close. Plus, you're in the country surrounded by good people. I felt very safe the entire night. We had such a good time and I'm going to be checking their calendar for fall events. Whether you want dinner, a show or just drinks, this place will not disappoint!"

We received top tier service, and will continue to request him as our server as long as he works here. The food was delicious. Fish was fresh and high quality, and the hot dishes hit the spot. Everything was great except for the Foie Gras. Instead of being paired with a berry compote, it was served on toast with peanut butter and oh man... talk about about let down. The consistency of the peanut butter ruins it, and there's nothing to cut the heaviness of the Foie Gras and the PB. I had bragged to my family that it was the most delicious dish on the menu, and after we tried it I received side-eye. Quite frankly, I was devastated. I grieve the loss of the star dish I had many times before. I hope that the seasonal pairings get better next time."
