House of Pies

Two words - mmmm mmmm ! If you're looking for a top notch slice of pie, look no further. I have a major sweet tooth and I was pleased to find a location less than 15 mins away from me. The establishment double hats as a bakery and full restaurant. I only tried desserts this time but I'm sure I'll be back for more soon! I ordered the Bayou Goo Pie and it was every bit decadent, sweet and creamy. The woman who took my order was kind and efficient. This is definitely somewhere you can bring your family for a chill night out!

I must give the two stars to the kitchen staff as the food was very tasty. However, no stars for the manager nor waiter. The waiter just seems unexperienced. Brought coffee and never brought cream until we asked another waitress for it. Coffee cold at that point. Didn't offer any apology nor to bring another fresh serving. Then, food was brought out one plate at a time. Like we were seated at separate tables. His existence was never around only immediately for the bill. Which at that time he asked us what dessert we wanted , then out of no where said, can only get it Togo because they were closed. Dessert involving ice cream can not be taken. I expressed my upset to who I think is the manager and he said it's because they were closed. Usually most restaurants will warn their customer that the kitchen will be closing that if there is anything you want before they close it to get it for you. But, this restaurant apparently is more concerned of their hourly pay and not working to satisfy a customer. Obviously not returning. Not managed by true business people. Their loss! As all customers contribute to their earnings. Keep that up and you all will be home even earlier. Thumbs up to kitchen! Thumbs down to manager and waiter. Hopefully, my review will teach you to give customers heads up. Remember you are not the only pie house as Proud Pies has much better ratings. Maybe it's time to ask yourselves why is that?

First time at this new location, we usually go to the weathermer one...this one was very underwhelming...The food was ok but not good. The biscuits were drier than Popeyes...the country fried steak seem frozen and the rest of the items were meh...The waiter took our orders and never came back for drink refills. The only time he came back was to present us with the check...overall a one and done for me.At least it felt new and clean. Will I return? Nope...

First of all, Rachel was a phenomenal waitress! Sweet and on time with everything! Secondly, how is this place rated so low? It is spotlessly clean. The best chicken fried chicken by far I've ever had! The potato soup was great as well as their salad! The pot pie was a little dry but Rachel had the remedy for that she suggested a little more gravy and...BINGO! Place is unreal get with it Houston and git them reviews up!

The suburban house of pies isn't at the same level as in town House of Pies. There were a few tables (like 6), there seemed to be plenty of employees (but they seemed assigned like only cashier, only pie server), we ordered and waited 45 minutes (yes it was a party of 5 but this is a diner and it was weekday lunch.) They did mess up on one order of potatoes but fixed it. Then they charged us a hot chocolate instead of a hot tea and tried to tell us it was the same price, it isn't. Don't lie to me! Rude for trying to steal from me. They fixed the ticket when I told them they were wrong (after talking to the waitress and checking their own menu.) Some food tips: the fries were way too crispy and crunchy kinda over cooked (order the cottage fries) the waffle is soggy (ask for it to be cooked longer), the friend tenders were cooked too long (kinda hard to eat smoother it in ketchup mixed with lots of black pepper.) Salt your own fried potatoes because they don't come seasoned. All of the food was just ok. Would I return..... maybe... but probably not. So many other places around the area.

Food and Pies are delicious. Have gone back several times since the initial visit. Crème puffs are my number one choice!

Service was quick, waitress was really sweet. This is a good spot to go to for late night food. Only suggestion is not order the beans, not the best lol. We'd go back to dine in again. We had always gotten pies to go but were happy to finally try their food. Overall we left very satisfied.

It's been a while since we ate at a House of Pies. This one was close to our hotel so gave them a try. Plenty of parking. Seated right away. Our waitress Royalty took excellent care of us. My wife decided to have the Club Breakfast- French toast with scrambled eggs and a sausage patty. Very tasty French toast. Yep they have heated syrup (don't often see that anymore).I had the chicken pot pie- very good served nice and hot. Could have used a bit more gravy it was a bit dry. Plenty of chicken and vegetables a nicely baked top crust. I had a slice of cherry pie and wife had the Dutch apple. Both good but to be honest we've had better. So it's a solid 4. Looking at the menu I think it would be a great breakfast choice.

I love that they're open later, not many spots to go to in Katy if you're hungry late at night. I've been to this location a few times now and the food and service has been good. They give large portions and have lots of options. The dining area is extremely bright.

My experience at house of pie was awful. While enjoying my ice cream, I found an acrylic nail. This is not just gross but also shows the restaurant's lack of cleanliness and safety. The staff didn't seem to care much when I told them. When I told the manager about the nail she said that none of her staff had any acrylic nails so she was just as confused as us . I advise everyone to stay away from this place. It's not worth the risk. 0/10 experience.
