I was craving a burger since I've already been cheating on my diet this week so I came to Yelp and stumbled across Hotline Burger which was not very far from me( perfect!) the restaurant is located in a gas station shopping strip so might be hidden if you're not looking for it but I also realize I have seen this spot as I have driven by this area before. The inside is pretty small but there are tables and stools if you would like to dine in side. I came around 8:15 PM and it wasn't very busy so I was able to walk right up to the tablet and place my order. Or maybe took about 5 min for the order to come out so no crazy wait. I ordered the Hotline Burger with a side of garlic Parmesan fries. They are made to order so it came out hot and fresh! The fries were wayyyy too salty for me. I usually eat my fries by itself but i needed some sauce to balance out the flavor and a little water to wash it down. The burger however was pretty good. I love a good smash burger with crispy edges and the sauce definitely added to it!

Loved this burger place! The smash burger was almost perfect. Everything inside the burger worked well, the sides were crispy, and so were the fries. The service was alright considering there was only 1-2 people there, but it did take a decent amount of time for the food. Just FYI the place only has a few seats inside, and it's on the side of a gas station. I took a star off because it was 17$ for a small sandwich, fries, and a drink... which would be understandable for a full size restaurant or maybe a bigger sandwich, but not this. If you are craving a smash burger and don't mind the slightly higher price, check this place out.

Just updating to note it's not a Shell station (anymore) but it is a gas station. One of the random ones (not one of the major ones). And it's not in the gas station but attached in that same little building complex with its own wall. Regardless, after eating here multiple times, confirming the quality is still top notch. Mmm those fries are fried so perfectly and the flavor/cook on the burger - top notch!

I'll be back next week, tomorrow if I were driving out here. The service is ok, you place your order on a kiosk and within 10 minutes someone brings your food to you. The restaurant has a nice decor which is Miami themed. The burger was amazing. I added beef bacon and swapped American cheese for Swiss cheese. I believe I down played the burger by saying amazing.. it was phenomenal. Burger was cooked to order along with the fries. I selected ranch fries which uses a dry seasoning. They were delicious!

Touring Houston and needed lunch so I checked Yelp, of course! Hotline had great ratings so we took a detour and we're not disappointed. If you like smash burgers you will love these. There is a guy waiting to explain the kiosks if it's your first time. He was really nice and the kiosks was self explanatory. Loved the substitutions. They are on the end of a gas station next to the car wash. There is eating inside and a large TV. It looked clean. Hubby got the patty melt and he said it was really good. They are large! I got the classic without cheese, onion, and pickles. We paid about $20 for both sandwiches. Next time we will try the fries. Try them out when you are in Houston.

I used Waze to try and find this place, and it took me to Bellaire, so I would copy and paste the address if you use that platform for GPS. I found out after I got to their current location, that Bellaire is actually their future location, but it's not open yet. I heard about this place from Jazy, and after reading Zain's review, I was ready to try it!Food - I ordered the Hotline burger. And the Smack fries $5.99 - which were yummy, just as I had read in the reviews. They also had two special burgers, Rodeo and Croissant. I went with the Croissant burger $12.99, since I was curious. I belive, it includes a fried egg, pickles, smack sauce, cheese, and the 2 smash patties. I ordered my food to go. Once I received it all, I became scared and nervous it would be soggy by the time I got home. So I just ended up dinning in, and ate the croissant burger in house. I'm glad I did because I don't think it would have held up well on my long drive home. It's uber buttery and rich. The fries and other burger I took home, they held up. Service- was smooth. Good flow of service, which is crucial. Food is made to order. I got to chat it up, with one of the two owners, Thomas. He was front of house and answering questions. He had chill vibes. Wishing him the very best and much success for his restaurant. Would come again if on this side of town.

I suddenly had a craving for a burger. I love Yelp and find that most of the time, it's spot on. Well, I was blown away. I've dined at amazing restaurants throughout the city and the world. However, this burger is a significant standout! It's a no-frills, self-order burger joint tucked away in a gas station parking lot. Trust me, try it and you won't be disappointed.

Food was good! The garlic parmesan fries were my favorite though. Ambiance was pretty regular. Service was good though, very polite and welcoming workers.

Great burger from this hole-in-the-wall gas station restaurant. Fantastic burger. It tastes like gyro/shawarma from Halal Bros (at UT Austin) combined with a smash burger. By the way, this is the best smash burger I've had and I'd give it a 9/10 simply because I'm leaving room at the top.I thought the bathroom was a bit dirty, but the kitchen looked alright from where I was standing. Not the best place to sit down and eat.Thought I should also mention the service since so many reviews are bashing them. You order through a touchscreen. I got a smile, and they prepared my burger in under five minutes, so I'm happy.

Why 5 stars? Because this is probably the best smash burger I've ever had. --- --- ---Smash burgers are all the rage, but I have not fully bought into them. I've had some good ones, and some meh ones. But THIS one was as good as it gets. If you like Cane's sauce, you will love Smack Sauce. It really is the perfect condiment. And when paired with a perfectly cooked smashed patty, it's hard to imagine a better lunch. I also ordered some smack fries, which are loaded with a bunch of stuff, including the aforementioned smack (crack) sauce. Guess what? They were also amazing. The only bad thing about the meal is that I felt like I could have eaten literally twice as much. Part of that was because the burger wasn't very big, and part of it was that it was so amazing that I didn't want it to end. It's located in a parking lot with a gas station. When we walked in, there were no people inside, including employees. Well, the employees were in the back. There were two iPads set up for customers to order on, so you don't even interact with anyone until someone comes out with your food. Honestly, it's probably that way, as it's on you to put your order in right and the business doesn't have to pay for a cashier. I live nowhere near here and have never been in this area before, so I will probably not be back, but that's only because of geography. If this was anywhere near my house, I would be a regular customer for sure!
