I've been coming here for a while to get take outs. They now also have a full sit in restaurant, but are not licensed. This is no problem as they allow BYOB, and furthermore do NOT charge corkage (which is a ripoff). Kudos to them for that alone. The food here has always been very good. As I've started to come here to eat in, I also have to say the service is very good. What makes this place special food wise however, is their Nan breads. I've eaten Indian food all over the world, including India itself. The chef makes the Nan texture in a way that I think is near perfect.Come here, bring your favorite tipple, enjoy the food, which is reasonably priced. Hot Bits needs more people to sit in, it's beyond just a takeout place now. Recommend.

Wow the food here is...not good. I only came here because my go to Indian places were closed and I regret it. There is no balance of flavors in their food. Just bland, but spicy and in some cases too salty. I never waste food but I threw out everything I ordered and ended up eating a frozen pizza. Their food is that gross. The minute I opened the biryani bowl, it smelled like Shan biryani masala I use when I'm not inclined to make biryani from scratch. Unfortunately they must have used less of the masala than I use bc the rice was severely lacking in flavor. And every other dish was similarly disappointing. Even the raita and plain white rice tasted weird.I knew I should have just waited until my favorite Indian place opened. I'm beyond annoyed I spent my money at Hot Bits. This was some of the worst Indian food I have ever eaten and I'm wasting food and money because the thought of eating any more of it is nauseating. Nice decor in the restaurant though. I do not recommend and I will not be back.

I gave this place a second chance, and it still let me down. I ordered HotBits for the first time to go, and this time I went in person thinking the food would be different. Nope. The chicken tikka is slightly sweet and yellow - not typical. While the daal makhani was striking orange, and the lentils were hard. Looking at this picture, you would think the orange dish is chicken tikka but it's daal. Daal is typically brown.Service was slow. The only good part was the naan. The naan was fresh and done great.I am definitely disappointed with the service and quality of food here, especially coming from an Indian background. I will not be returning.

This is a small Indian spot in south Katy that we love. The owner is usually always there and takes great care of us. In fact, he even knows what/how we're going to order as soon as we come in. The food is always delicious, but sometimes inconsistent with spice. We don't mind spicy food, but sometimes is much spicer than we expect.Try the Chili Chicken, the Cheese Nan, and the Butter Nan. You're welcome!

2 years on and sadly the standards at Hot Bits are slipping. I don't know if the owner or chef has changed but the last 4 or 5 months has seen a significant decline in the quality of the food. We love the Butter Chicken at HotBits but the quality of the dish has declined the last few months. Previously soft moist cubes of chicken are now dry and tasteless. Almost like it's yesterdays chicken being reused. We ordered the chicken tikka tonight for our kids and it arrived stone cold. The rest of the dishes were hot / warm. A sad lack of quality control. A lack of care. A lack of my previous 5 star review. How sad.

$38 won't get you much... lots of sauce... tiny bit of rice. No bread. Super expensive.Last time we ordered it - order was all wrong....gave them another try last night and it was wrong again :(. sauces mixed with wrong meats. This place was awesome when it first opened,

I've heard great things about Hot Bits, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Overall, it was just alright. The Paneer 65 was great, but everything else sort of fell flat. No beer or wine, so just be aware of that. It was also a bit warm in there, too. The service was great and everything was attentive. May try again, but for takeout on a weeknight.

Did a carry out order on a Friday night. Was given a 30 minute wait time on the phone. After an hour the food was finally ready. From the flow of orders coming out while I was waiting it seems that they give priority to DoorDash orders. The seating area was not very busy. Was particularly disappointed that the manager walked by several times and did not even acknowledge the delay. The food quality was fine once it finally arrived.

The service was absolutely terrible! Sat down for 7-10 minutes with no water nor waiter. We ordered Vegetable curry, Naan and samosas, the waiter brought the naan out first before anything which was insane. I cannot eat spicy food not even a little spicy. I was eating the food and 2 bites in I noticed the food was starting to get real spicy so I stopped eating. We asked for a refund on that item due to it being spicy and we specifically said no spice please. The manager told us we could not get a refund and demanded us to pay because I took a few bites of the food. . The manager never told us that all food comes spicy, there is no such this as " no spice " apparently. He was extremely rude and was demanding us to pay and we were trying to explain we asked for no spice due to a serious health condition; He did not care and was still forcing us to pay and then a lady offered to call the owner. We spoke with the owner and she told us what the manger said which was not true at all. We explained our side and she understood and apologize. She ended up telling the lady to take the curry that we didn't eat off. The only reason I give the restaurant 2 stars is because of the service and management. If owner see this, PLEASE hire better managers. I will not be back to this restaurant and I use to come all the time but after today experience unfortunately, I will not be back.
