I had the hot and spicy shrimp lunch. Hot and sour soup was different but I really liked it. Was kinda small though. Food was good and for $9 with tax not too bad!!

I ordered the General Tso's and was impressed that it came with several choices for sides including soup, egg roll/crab Rangoon, and crispy noodles. The chicken portion size of the entree was huge and I appreciated that the rice was in a separate compartment. I would order from here again as it was good.

Horrible experience Walkman and wanted to get takeout ask for salt and pepper chicken and she said no. I asked if she have salt and pepper fish she said no she was not friendly at all I looked at the menu and I tried to decide but the vibe I received from her I didn't want to spend my money there. No customer service whatsoever this was my first time trying them and this was my last time I went right across the street and spent $25. And the customer service was good even though they did not have what I wanted. I'm definitely not going back

Good food, great service. If you are looking for Chinese food in a pinch this will satisfy the craving. They also have good pad Thai so it's more than just Chinese food.

I'm new to the area so I haven't tried many of the local Chinese restaurants, but this is that kind of Chinese food that you order when you want to get it fast, take it home and plop down on the couch to watch a movie. I ordered pick up from Hot Wok because the weather has gotten colder and I wanted some chicken soup. I ordered a large wonton soup and a chicken lo mein. The large wonton soup is a steal at $4.50 because it's one of those large to-go containers and they gave me tons of wontons - probably 10-12? Maybe more? I didn't count them, but I was appreciative that they didn't give me a container of broth with 3-4 wontons. They also gave me two little bags of the crispy wonton chips. The chicken Lo Mein was tasty as well. It was pretty average as far as the lo meins I've had around Houston, which is honestly what I was looking for. Every once in a while I get a craving for an Asian noodle dish and this satisfied that craving today. The woman at the front was friendly and she had my order ready and waiting by the time I got to the restaurant. It appears that they might be doing only pick-up and delivery because when you walk in, the dining area is blocked off to customers.

This place needs to change their name from "hot wok" to "hot sock" because their Singaporean noodle dish smells like feet, seriously. I ordered the "crispy spicy chicken" and ended up receiving mildish chicken pieces drenched in marinade (probably containing 10,000 milligrams of sodium). The general Tso's chicken had a rubbery texture to it. I did some research on rubbery chickens served from Chinese restaurants and read that one of the leading causes is overcooking the meat. The next cause of rubbery chicken is a lack of moisture. It makes you wonder what the hell is going on back in their kitchen...

Obviously a family run restaurant that's just trying to start up. So as far as ambiance goes, there's not a lot of it. It's a little rough. The walls could use some paint. Booth seats have bedspreads on the seats to hide the wear...Bit of a language barrier. egg roll is better than spring roll.pepper steak meat was good cut and very tender, vegetables were goodgeneral tsao Had Very large chunks of chicken obviously made in house.Food is overall okay. This is a CHEAP EATS winner. Drinks are 1. 95 an order of spring rolls is 3.95, Approximately half the price, you'd pay at a fancier place. So, our recommendation is to buy the food and get it to go. support the mother of the three kids in the back booth.

Absolutely delicious and affordable. I've never had bad meal from here. The tempura shrimp and the sesame chicken are the best!
