Hot Pit Bar-B-Q

This place was pretty badass for a quick lunch stop. Food came out quick and hot, and the special of Monday was chopped beef--which was pretty good! My coworker had the sliced brisket and she said she would give it a solid four too -- tasted good and was quick. We would come back! Would recommend this place for lunch anytime!

The sides of Cole slaw and beans were better than the barbecue. I asked for fatty or loose brisket, got lean and dry, and salty. Got chicken too which was okay, but had so much sauce, I couldn't really taste the chicken. Oh well, not close to me, so I won't be back.

Heard about this place and was told the food was very good. That was quite an understatment! Decided to look for it and it didn't look too promising when we drove up, you really have to watch for it as it's kind if small and set back from the street. So far every thing we've ordered has been delicious and the Friday rib special is the best I've ever had. The only drawback for me is they're only open for lunch during the week and a few hours on Saturday. The ladies at the counter are super and I can't wait for my next Friday off, I'll order the special and something to go!!

I so wanted this place to be good. There is the good and bad about this place. It's not awful it just not that good. The brisket is very dry and doesn't have much flavor. Ribs are just bad but the sausage was ok. U definitely to add some sauce to offset the dry brisket.Ice tea tasted a little funny but drinkable.The lady who took my order was super nice.I probably won't be back.

Really good bbq. Daily specials are great! Try the fries as a side. They are the best. They take credit cards or cash.

Oh lordy, talk about good. The ribs and brisket had such great flavor and bark. This may be on of my favorite all time bbq places. I love it when the ribs are cooked so long the bones fall apart. Not too sweet or spicy. This is the real deal. Potato salad isn't how i like it but their fries are fantastic. Beans could use some work. Burgers as freaking good too!

BBQ is not very good. Average at best and everything seems to be microwaved. The staff is very friend and thats a plus. Nevertheless the BBQ was not what I expected.

This place is awesome! It's the best place to get lunch if you happen to work around here.Food comes out quickly and it is some amazing TX BBQ. They make their own BBQ sauce and fries, too. They don't cut any corners.

Saw this place while working and decided to give it a try. I liked the hole in the wall atmosphere, the staff was friendly. I got a 2 meat platter which was around 11 dollars, pretty good price for how much food you get. The beans and potato salad were decent. The brisket was way too dry for me. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the ribs. Those ribs are delicious.
