Chef Steve rollSpicy tuna- this was okay my husband was not a huge fan of the taro on top. Will definitely be trying something different from the menu next timeHoru poke bowlThis was with spicy tuna, avacado, rice, veggies. This is pretty good. Not the best I've had but wouldn't mind trying something different next time. I would also ask for extra spicy Mayo next time!

For my first trip to Lyric Market I was really craving sushi, and Horu Sushi did not disappoint. They have a variety of sushi and rice bowls (poke). I got the Sashimi Poke Bowl. The portion wasn't very large, but the amount of protein they put in the bowl made it reasonably filling. The fish used were so fresh and delicious and I really enjoyed the flavors. It was a very well-made poke bowl. I hope to come back and try some of the other items on their menu!!Parking situation: street or garage

Located inside the new Lyric Market food hall in downtown, the sushi roll we tried from Horu was great! We ordered the Horu sushi roll because we figured that, if they named the roll after the restaurant, it must be good--we weren't disappointed. I particularly liked what I think was some kind of candied citrus on top of the roll. I hope to try more from Horu on our next visit!

This place is located inside Lyric Food Hall. The staff was very helpful and the food came out pretty quick. Everything I ordered was very fresh and this was soem of the best sushi I have had. The tuna takaki roll was so good and a perfect pairing of raw and seared tuna. The miso soup was also very fresh and light.

Located in the new Lyric Market-- this place is hands down one of the better restaurants in the new food hall. The truffle salmon roll was amazing. The soy paper has a nice texture and the truffle wasn't overwhelming. Then the hamachi crudo is always our go-to anywhere we go and it was made so fresh with fresh apple shaving on top. And since we were the only ones there, we got a complimentary yellowtail dish that was off the menu. We will definitely be back!

This place is delicious! I got the seafood volcano roll (I substituted cucumber for cream cheese) and it was soooo tasty. This place is located inside Lyric Market and the staff is very friendly. 10/10 I'll be back again!

Went here on a Friday night and this was easily the best place at Lyric Market. I got the hamachi crudo and truffle salmon. Both were delicious but the truffle salmon was so so good. The truffle wasn't overpowering and the quality of the sushi was good and fresh. For the crudo, the flavor was very light and refreshing. I really enjoyed the Apple they included. The staff was friendly and one of the sushi chefs gave us a complimentary yellow tail dish off the menu that was great as well! I would come back to this food hall for the sushi.

Located inside the Lyric Food Hall. So there's open seating and walk up ordering. No wait service or drink refills. The whole food hall probably has a different feel depending on if you're here during work hours vs theatre hours. Unironically the best sushi restaurant in Downtown Houston, since Covid killed all the others. With a large selection of rolls taking up most menu. Went through like 4 of them and they all tasted good. Fair Mix of textures and flavors. Rolls come in pieces of 10, so it's great for sharing. Fish was fresh tasting as well, no need to pass on this place because it's not brick and mortar sushi restaurant.

Located inside the Lyric Food Hall; a newly opened upscale food hall similar to Finn Hall and Bravery Hall in the north side of downtown. Interior has 10ish shops with no various cuisines. Service is pretty minimal; they take your order and you go and pick up your order when it's ready. We tried a bunch of items on the menu; from the tuna tower to the specialty rolls and crudo. For the price point, it's very similar to Bluefish and Azuma. There's quite a bit of fusion style. The sashimi and crudo were both alright, and the rolls were also good but also somewhat forgettable and basic (like you've had elsewhere). Overall, it seems like a quick lunch stop style sushi spot in a nice and new food hall. Is it mind blowing? Nope, but everything is also on par with a mid- level sushi restaurant.
