I couldn't brag enough about Hong Kong Seafood City香港海味城because they have everything from daily necessities to gifting ideas. I frequent here for bargains like seasonal items like moon cakes月餅, New Year cakes年糕and other casual pastries displayed at the entrance. Most of my trinkets for my annual Lunar New Year UYE's are found here: White Rabbit Milk Candies大白兔奶糖, Morinaga Milk Caramel 森永牛奶糖, Chinese New Year's shortcake candies 徐福記酥心糖 and Point 100 Gummi Candies. This is my go-to place for my medicinal soups and ready-made traditional Chinese medicines (TCM 中藥) - all made by reputable companies. They have high end stuff I couldn't touch: birds' nest 燕窩, ginseng 人蔘, ganoderma 靈芝and exotic herbal medicines. Whenever I need anything for my house, I come to Hong Kong Seafood City because all merchandise is imported directly from the sources. I am never disappointed with the friendly staff's recommendation. They helped me decide for each occasion. The prices are always competitive and products are always fresh. Don't be misled by the category, this "seafood market" sells dried, frozen or canned seafood. Don't expect fish tank here.

So I'm giving it 3 stars bc there's so much herbal stuff it's insane---However there are no seafood (as stated in the name). The owner is friendly. I was just there to browse. I couldn't understand half the stuff bc they're not all labeled in English. It's a cool place to check out but nothing really I could buy except the tiger balm, moon cake sets, powder coffee/ matcha.....dried herbal stuff.

HKSC is a little gem tucked inside of a Chinatown shopping center. They carry a wide variety of products, many of which are pretty hard to find anyplace else. Most notably, HKSC carries a large number of dried goods and herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine. You can find everything from shark's fin and bird's nest to deer horn and ginseng. Prices vary greatly depending of the the product, but are usually adequately priced for what you get. HKSC also carries a pretty decent selection of teas and candies, as well as dried meats and alcohol. Their overall selection of products is very large and specialized. The layout makes it very easy to find exactly what you're looking for.The people who work here are always very nice and helpful. The workers always greet their customers upon entering. If you need help finding anything or are unsure about a product you can always ask for assistance and receive it.Overall, HKSC is unmatched in the quality of it's products and service. I would recommend this place to anyone interested Chinese medicine or specialty products.
