Hong Kong City

Honestly, this is one of the best Chinese food places. We tried period the Hong Kong city. Had the best sesame chicken I've tasted in the Atlanta area period I had ordered. It also do Uber Eats with a buy one Get one free deal and the young person who delivered. It had excellent service and a very polite and welcoming personality. I had nothing to complain about whatsoever. Especially with the service and food. And I will definitely recommend it. The ambience was also top notch along with the excellent quality of service.

Things to love: Hong Kong City is a minority ran restaurant, in the heart of the west side of Atlanta, that has consistently been serving the community for decades. The food is reasonably priced, good portions, and excellent selection. Things to consider: Parking is across the busy street, so be careful as you pick up your order. There's no done in option. I personally do not love the flavor of the fried rice, but the white rice has always been excellent. Highly suggest the Pepper Steak w white rice, the wings (its ATL after all), and the Hot & Sour soup.

Arrived at 930pm..after not being able to purchase some chicken from the local popeyes restaurant..i ordered a 10 piece chicken wings 'with fries'and a lipton ice tea total cost $14.00..bit into the 1st piece of chicken 'and said wow that doesn't taste very fresh or good tried another piece and the taste was awful...i took the 3rd piece and removed the crust only to find the chicken meat was yellow...in fact all the remaining chicken pieces were extremely yellow in color..proves this was definitely old chicken being served to the community..never again buyers beware

Ordered this for a late night Chinese fix and it did the trick. Standard Chinese takeout but overall good flavors. The shrimp fried rice could've been a little more generous but the honey wings made up for it. We did delivery so no notes of the ambiance or service.

Please if you want Chinese food please please go elsewhere. Who makes fried rice with yellow rice!!!! Yellow rice is for a different cuisine not this!!!! The chicken was light skinned and and it has no flavor at all. My coworker got chicken lo mein and it also came with yellow rice!!! I pray we are not sick in the morning behind this you all should be SHAME

Ehhhh.... it's so so. I'd eat it again if I didn't have a choice but I wouldn't choose to order them. I got the Lo Mein, shrimp fried rice , egg rolls, general Tao chicken, and egg drop soup. The vegetable lo mein was good. The shrimp fried rice was pretty good. However the chicken was just okay. And the egg drop soup was absolutely inedible. Obviously it's not the worst place in the world but certainly not amazing. The price was good though.

This place makes great Chinese. I'm originally from Ny and this place is part of my top 5 because Chinese down here just doesn't compare. the rice is spot on (not that white rice with soy sauce type of rice) and the chicken is pretty good. I haven't had anything bad from here. Now the ambiance could be better which is why I'm not giving a 5 but I'm glad this place exists

Probably the worst I've ever had. Greasy and bland. Food not cooked all the way thru.

The food was good, and the amount of food you get for what you pay is awesome. However, it is located in a scary area. Bullet holes in surrounding buildings windows, trash all over the streets and by the front door, and people using drugs right outside of the restaurant door. Probably great to order Uber eats from, but not great to pick up for yourself.

ORDERED VIA DOORDASH & THERE WAS A MAGGOT IN MY FOOD. i called the restaurant to get a refund and neither doordash or the restaurant was helpful or concerned. do you know what kind of disgusting conditions you have to have for there to be maggots in your food??? i usually don't leave reviews but this was just too bad.
