Hong Kong City

On the outside, I could barely tell that this is even a restaurant. After giving this place a chance, I've been back many times for a good tasting Americanized Chinese meal. The number one reason why I come here is because of their prices. This place is easily $4-5 cheaper than the other takeout places around it, without a severe drop in quality. Their best deal is easily the lunch special. The special gives you a plethora of options to choose from, with fried rice and an egg roll or soup. All of that costs under $8. It is seriously such a great deal. I've had the pepper steak with onion special and the shrimp with lobster sauce special. Both of those specials were very tasty and made both my stomach and wallet happy. I've recently started a new trend, fried rice Friday. Lately, I've been coming to Hong Kong City for my fried rice fixing. My go-to is the house fried rice. A large Styrofoam box is always filled to the brim with (yellow!! - my favorite) fried rice that comes with chicken, shrimp and fried pork. The fried pork is such a unique touch, it adds a different texture to the fried rice and is one of the reasons why I love this fried rice so much. Oh yeah, and it costs less than $11. Might I say, a steal? My strategy for Hong Kong City is to take out. I will go to the restaurant, place my order, walk to Publix and build up an appetite and then eat the food at home. The interior is fairly bleak and doesn't feel like a place I want to sit and eat my food. The person taking the orders isn't the most bubbly person in the world, but they get me in and out in no time. The service is quick and I'm usually out of the shopping center within 10 minutes. This restaurant is by no means one that you should come out of your way to try, but as a local, I will continue to eat here so I can have a decent meal and save a few bucks!

I guess I should've looked at the yelp review before I ordered on Uber Eats because the 2.5 stars is being nice. Let's start out with food safety. Somewhere in the kitchen there was cross contamination with crab and what I ordered. I'm allergic to grab and immediately broke out into to hives, tongue became itchy, and I start losing breath from my throat trying to close. I took my medicine immediately to avoid being rushed to the hospital. I will never eat here again.

Super fast delivery and good value for what we got. Great for a night in or a quick meal!

I will always come here. Amazing food, good service. It's in a quaint spot. Always very quick 10 minute stop. This was like just over $20. Can't go wrong

Great, as Atlanta is opening up, once again Hong Kong city is serving the best Chinese take-home you can get!The owner made a special door so that everyone is protected, and you can receive your food safely through it. This place has always been great and it remains that way.

Today we all pitched in to order lunch to treat our Medical Assistants in our clinic for Medical Assistant's week and placed a large order. When our food arrived, one of the orders had a large cockroach in it. Everyone bagged up their food (because who wants to eat food from a restaurant who knowingly has bugs) and called the restaurant and asked for a refund. They only offered us a refund for one meal!!! This is no way to treat our healthcare workers! Shame on them! Our staff will be visiting the restaurant this evening to demand a refund for our whole order. We have already contacted Fox 5.

Aside from the lazy who took my order being rude, the food is good. I had to ask for a fork, which was odd because you can't eat in the restaurant.

Chicken is like eating a rubber glove. This place needs to shut done. Very gross. The only thing good is the egg rolls
