Quality food and inviting aesthetic in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia. I try to wait to write reviews until I have been to a place several times, and I keep returning to Honey's. Anytime friends or family visit, I bring them here. From the outside, Honey's has a dandelion yellow exterior with a tomato vine mural, tables with umbrellas lining the front and a take-out window for quick coffee orders around the corner. When you walk inside, the walls are a dark green shade lined with antiques and Southern-charm collectibles. It is always bustling with people and you typically have to wait at least 15 minutes...but it is *always* worth it. Here, the waiters and waitresses make sure to keep your coffee cup filled and the food arrives quickly. It's a place where people gather and is most definitely a community staple. My favorite dish is the breakfast burrito. The thick-cut bacon is always perfectly cooked with a slight crispy crunch that's not-yet burnt. The large tortilla keeps the eggs and veggies packed tight inside without getting wet as you keep eating. It's always so disappointing when your burrito breaks apart on you but this doesn't happen at Honey's! The cheese melts perfectly into the eggs with the right portion of beans, onions and peppers. The fan-favorite are the pancakes which taste like buttermilk and have the right amount of "fluff" inside. Their array of lattes never disappoint, but my favorite is the salted caramel. If you're ordering a hot latte, it comes in a round, cozy mug. The hot chocolate arrives with a HOMEMADE marshmallow floating on top...get out! Don't go anywhere else for breakfast if in NoLibs...make sure to stop here!

The good: I think we found a new favorite breakfast spot! It was excellent ! From the coffee (red eye served in a huge cup!) to the jam served with a fresh biscuit. The ingredients seemed fresh and perfectly prepared. We enjoyed the fish and grits half portion( should've gotten a full portion because now Im sad ) paired that with a short stack (couldn't eat because we were stuffed) they were fluffy . The country fried steak was phenomenal and sunny side eggs soaked the potatoes and biscuit for a delicious bite. It was all good. The rhubarb lemonade was refreshing. The servers were all friendly and attentive. Knowledgeable of the menu and eager to please. The wait was much shorter than expected and we found parking right in front. It was destined to be great . It has a nice vibe . Kinda like a bar but for lunch. Fast paced and small. Not great for large parties. Great for a pair. the bad: we live in jersey so this spot isn't close enough (maybe thats good for my diet ) the ugly: not a damn thang!

Delicious breakfast/brunch spot in Northern Liberties! The menu is pretty expansive with classic breakfast and lunch items. (There are also a handful of specials!) There is a counter/bar inside and tables both inside and outside. No reservations so it definitely gets busy on weekends. I will be back!

MMM - MMM - MMM! Southern & Jewish food...how often do you cross paths with these two cuisines? Well, Honey's has it figured out and they have a menu oozing with an incredible amount of options. No matter your dietary preferences or restrictions, they've got you covered. If you had any second guesses on whether or not it'd be worth the visit, just go ahead and drive by on a weekend and see the line of people who are waiting to get a table. That is a downside, because it is a smaller space inside, you will likely have a decent wait for brunch on a weekend. They don't take reservations, so I would recommend trying to get there first thing or you can take advantage of their walk-up window. If you are lucky enough, you may even be able to snag a spot at their counter seating.I thought their service was great and very attentive, but it is a bit chaotic inside. You just gotta embrace it. Okay - let's get into the food! I found it hard to make a decision between their eggs or pancakes or french toast...it all looks so good. Fortunately, they have a monte cristo sandwich called the Honey Cristo. I went with this, and it was no joke. Massive sandwich, with ham and swiss piled high between two fluffy challah french toast slices, topped with juicy sunny eggs. It comes with a hearty side salad that makes you feel mentally better for what you are about to eat, but it was truly a refreshing counter to the rich and savory cristo. I also just couldn't pass up on their special pancake, which was essentially a heaping portion of mac & cheese served in a pancake style. This was yummy on both spectrums of the palate...you could enjoy with hot sauce/ketchup or with syrup (or both if that is your speed.) One thing you won't leave there with, is an empty stomach. Their portions are outrageous!Come hungry and if you are in the neighborhood, come often!

We were looking a brunch spot for Saturday and heard about this place. Little did we know how close it was to Fishtown! We came around 1pm so there was wait but that did not deter us!!Food: 4.5/5 My partner got the pancake combo and I got the French toast (regular not Challah). We found out that you could add fruit to the pancakes, like blueberries, which will add next time! I really liked the thickness of this pancakes and the moistness of the French toast. However, the star of the show were the roasted potatoes (crispy, well seasoned, and fresh)!Service: 4.5/5Though we had to wait to be seated (~30mins) and they don't take your phone number. So stay close to the restaurant!! Once we were seated they were great and placed our order promptly. They were alittle backlogged with orders due to the brunch rush. However, they treated us well and kept us abreast on our food status! All in all, I would definitely go back with an empty stomach. The vibe and food were just right.

Food is great. BYOB. Long wait outside on Sunday when I went and VERY small inside. You will need to scan a code to review the menu. They may supply one if asked not sure, I didn't ask. Friendly waitstaff.

Good was great and plentiful. A little pricy but they make up for it in quality and quantity. Pancakes good. French toast good. Service good and attentive- also kept the coffee flowing nicely. Much better than any diner Coffee was good - I think they get from la colombe.Daughter had a club sandwich which was good. Very informal place but well decorated. We had come before a few years back. I really don't know why we haven't been back. We will be back!

Has brunch here yesterday with our son who we were visiting in Philly. He told us this is his go to place in the city for breakfast or brunch. I taught him well. Seriously as close to perfect as a breakfast can be. I had the French toast platter, eggs, two slices of challa French toast , thick sliced bacon and a potato latke. It doesn't get any better. Our go to breakfast place on return visits.

I was underwhelmed with this experience compared to all the great reviews. The French toast was ok, potatoes, well seasoned but cold on arrival. I'm from the country and love scrapple so I was excited to see it on the menu but what I received did not look like any scrapple I ever seen. Service was great but I've had better breakfast while visiting.
